Chapter 8: 5 YEARS-PART TWO
I have also got significantly good at potions that I can make intermediate potions and novice level potions with my eyes closed. I have successfully modified some potions and have managed to create some.But due to lack of funds I have been not play with some expensive ingredients.Despite that I have managed to improve my skills in potion making. Just for example the[Intermediate grade potions are those that are NEWT level potions.]It is precisely because of that I am quite proud of my current potion making skills.
I also started studying the dark arts book I got in second hand store secretly.I have read and I have gotten theoretical knowledge of art. The dark arts are those magicks that hurt or kill the victims. It is does not necessarily that you have to use emotions to cast these magicks contrary of my knowledge form fan fic rather only [high level curses like killing curse,torturing curse,imperatius curse,also a curse that I found in book which I found 'Mind corrosion curse'.It is one of the curses that when hit slowly corrodes mind of victim and drives them insane. This actually also uses a bit of your negative emotions to invoke victims similar emotions and sort of feed on them to repeatedly produce such emotions till his mind is filled with negeative emotions.].
At least that is what book said.I haven't tried any of dark arts but I have was suprise when I see there dark charms too.[There is charm known as edocorpus charm which makes victim feel he is a corpse.There variations of this charm that further use it as based to make the victim feel mentally scarred. There is another variation which leads to victim start to eat himself.]I was thoroughly disgusted.When started studying defense against dark arts,I thought entrail expelling curse was more disgusting and horrifying than killing curse.But no this charm just tops the list.
But there are also curses,jinxes,hexes which are quite lethal if used correctly.It also does not cost any toll on mind.But repeated use can affect your mind. There is solution to this which was mentioned in book that is [A cleansing ritual.It is ritual which removes its effect.But there is no definitve instructions on carrying the ritual.I am wasn't on planning on doing any ritual half assed so totally refrained from doing the dark arts but I did study its counter measures just in case.
I also learned about basic rituals from book though it did not contain much. But I was quite pleased with this gain.I also learned the name of author of book was Liam Moria.Maybe I can find more books from this author.
But The biggest gain I got was from the that journal about emotions and magic relation.It also explained what I felt from when I was in that bicorn incident was real. According to researcher ,Emotions are one of the way are soul power is released.These emotions are also called as spirit power by ancient wizards.He said those who can perceive emotions of others have high spirit ower and can practise soul magic.
The ancient wizards said that using magic along with spirit power strengthen the magics.But not exactly much is known about this concept as there are very few who dare to research in this.Still there were some group of ancient wizard who studied this discipline and found one of branches of magic known as soul magic.But these magicks were so strong as they were able to manipulate soul of victim.So these groups where hunted and feared by wizards all over world.But there are still some magic which use dilated soul magic.Till now author only found one which was [Patronus charm as it uses happy emotions to summon spirit animal.]
He also recorded in his journal the magic that is used by African tribes and category known as Self transfiguration is Part of soul magicks. This got me excited another awesome magic.But this one is going hard to find as it was extinct hundreds of years ago.Hold on minute there is place that can have books on this magicks,Old Hogwarts library.It is quite old and must have many old magicks.Also according to some fiction I read dumbledoor used to say that the mst mystical place of Hogwarts is not any chamber rather it is library.But it also mentioned that only worthy will receive help from Hogwarts so this troublesome.
But oh well that is problem in future.I have to first tackle the current situation.
As planned I am in America to participate in main match after passing qualifiers with flying colour.It was not difficult to begin with we had to brew 2 basic potion with atleast one of them high quality which was quite difficult for others but was quite easy as I can brew novice level ones quite easily. Now for main event we had to present novice level potions with high quality or above.
[Quality Ranking goes like Low-Middle-High-Perfect].So it was not much a problem for me to brew up a high quality one .
But my goal from competition was perfect one with some modifications so I can draw attention.Mostly of businessmen of potions because I had products I wanted to sell so i would need to partner up with some one.I could have done that in Britain but there is blood discrimination which would cause no lord to partner up with half blood but even if they did I would be forced to get lower end of bargain.But it is different in America or MACUSA.Here they did not mind blood of wizard but they had discrimination based on colour.Well cant exactly remove vices of society.
'So much to do' while thinking this I silently fell asleep on my bed..
