Chapter 60: Nightly Visit
The first day of the CMC has ended as the arena was emptied
Natsu and the others were brought to a hotel where they would stay for the next few days until the competition is over
Right now, the team in question were in a plan discussion after they had received a letter from the Competition executives
"first event is this 'Wrestle Suplex'?" Lucy said seeing the letter before giving it to Natsu who reads it
"doesn't say anything about the rule other than there has to be two members, huh?" Natsu said reading the letter before to another which told them of the battle event tomorrow would be a Tag Team
"Tag Team, huh?" Mira said seeing the letter "this might be something Kagura and Erza have to do"
"you two can do it?" Natsu asked looking at the two who nodded in response
"we'll show you our power as the two swordswomen of the East" Erza said with a smile as Kagura did the same too
"then the event?" Lucy asked as Natsu points his thumb at Mira then to himself "figures"
"it's a very perfect event for a meathead like Mira" Minerva said going out of the bathroom in a bathroom and had her hair wrapped up in a towel "it goes so well with her brain of a brawn"
"why you!" Mira got up as she cracked her knuckles and was about to go at Minerva, when Natsu bumped her leg and made her fall down "Waah!"
"if you have energy for a fight, I suggest storing it for tomorrow's opponent in the event not against a teammate" Natsu said sternly
"I know.." Mira said getting up while holding her red face
"did you really had to do that?" Lucy asked with a sweatdrop while helping Mira get up
"words always make conflict so actions" Natsu said before taking a look at Minerva "isn't that right?"
"perhaps" Minerva said with a taunting smirk as she walks to the connected room
"sometimes I wish that I can pummel that bitch to the ground, but I have to hold it in because of the stupid competition" Mira said grumbling a bit
"the discussion is now over" Natsu said standing up and takes off his glasses for a moment "get some rest, the competition will start at sunrise tomorrow"
"yeah, we'll need enough energy after all" Erza said as everyone else nodded
Natsu went to his bag before looking to Erza and the others who are play Rock-Paper- Scissors
"what are you guys doing?" Natsu said looking at them
"Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who sleeps with Minerva" Mira said as everyone played scissors before rock and then paper "ain't no way I'm sleeping in the same room as her"
The room they are in only has 3 beds and a couch, while the other room has 2 beds
There are six of them and that means 1 person shares a room with Minerva
"the feelings mutual" Minerva spoke out in her room as Mira gritted her teeth in anger
Natsu sighs as he grabbed his bag and holds it over his shoulder
"I'll stay in her room, the rest of you stay here" Natsu said sighing tiredly "even at night"
"hey!" Mira exclaimed but Natsu closed the connected door
"seriously, we could've decided with straws" Kagura said
Placing his bag down to his bed, Natsu took out his nightwear before looking to Minerva who laid on her bed while holding a mirror that she used to see her reflection
"how long are you going to keep up that prideful stance of yours?" Natsu said as he holds his clothes
"as long as I want" Minerva said as she combs her hair behind her ear "it's entertaining to make Mira furious"
"we're a team, so act like one" Natsu said while taking out a towel "or our deal won't be profitable for you"
"don't assume me as a fool, I never break a deal with anyone" Minerva said her eyes turning hostile for a moment
"I never did" Natsu said as he started walking towards the bathroom "you assumed yourself"
Minerva scoffed as she went back to look at her reflection
Natsu took off his clothes before entering the shower
Turning the shower on, the cold water hits Natsu's hair, making it wet
Natsu sighs as he rubs his hair around, making it wet all around
The man lets the cold water rinse his hair before he grabs a shampoo and applies it on his hair
As the man bathe, Demonic Natsu appeared in the mirror's reflection
"getting into a deal is one thing, but making one? Sheesh, you're getting so soft by the day" he said to Natsu who rinse the shampoo off of his hair "that Minerva girl's deal is weird and it only benefits us than her"
"everyone has their own reasons" Natsu said as he grabs a bar of soap and rubs it around his shoulder to his arm "even her"
"her reasons are more like daddy issues to me" Demonic Natsu said before yawning
Flashback
"a deal? For the CMC?" Minerva said looking interested
"join our team, you owe me one for saving your pet" Natsu said as Minerva looks at him before to her pet mouse who squeaked at her
"not a fair trade," Minerva said petting her pet mouse "I won't be accepting such a boorish deal"
"then what do you want for the deal? Money? A servant?" Natsu said as Minerva rubs her chin
"having a servant like you does give me very big privileges, but…" Minerva said looking away before to Natsu "very well, I will take your deal only for a few condition"
"and they are?" Natsu asked while raising an eyebrow
"if we are to be a team, I act on my own action. Second, I desire to be served respectfully and treated with royalty" Minerva said as Natsu nodded
"anything else?" Natsu said
"if our team ever cross path with a school named Saber High, I want a fight against them" Minerva said before squinting her eyes "personally"
Flashback
"she sounded pretty vent on going against that school" Demonic Natsu said while rubbing his chin "you know why?"
"she used to enroll in that school before to Belserion High" Natsu told him "heard that her father is the headmaster of that school before he disowns her"
"wow, pretty harsh. What did she do?" Demonic Natsu asked, looking interested
"too much rumors; some says about her losing a single match in a tournament, dealing with magic drugs, anything. None are the truth, nor do I know which is the truth" Natsu replied
Demonic Natsu hummed while rubbing his chin
"interesting, very interesting" Demonic Natsu said before disappearing
Natsu soon washed himself clean of the soap before grabbing his towel and drying himself up
Natsu soon finished bathing as he got out of the bathroom and sees that the lights were turned off
"must've been her" Natsu thought as he thinks that Minerva had gone to sleep earlier
Turning the bathroom lights off, Natsu went to his bed with only the moonlight shining his way by the window
Placing his towel into his bag, Natsu was about to go into bed when he sensed someone near him
Igniting his hand in flames, Natsu swings it back and forward before stopping
"you" Natsu said with his eyes turning reptilian as near him was his brother, Zeref
"shuuush, it's nighttime" Zeref said sitting by a chair "people are sleeping, Natsu"
"state your purpose of coming here" Natsu said as black markings and red scales climbs up his neck "now"
"I merely came to see my little brother in the CMC, that's all" Zeref said with a smile "is it bad for me to do so?"
Natsu just glared at him with a very angered and pissed face
Zeref chuckles before Sayla appeared beside him from the shadows
"leave and take her with you" Natsu said with a growl
"I'd love to do that but she keeps on running away from home. What a troublesome girl" Zeref said as he looks to Sayla who stared at Natsu with an expressionless face then to Natsu "she seems to be addicted to you, Natsu. Well…your blood that is"
Natsu's red flames went black as they raged
"alright alright, I know when I'm not wanted" Zeref said while raising his hands up and then stood up from his seat "come now, Sayla. Let's go home"
Natsu looks at them as Zeref and Sayla were getting covered in shadows
"although I must say, congratulations on your astounding performance" Zeref said smiling "but be warned of the ravens, they are what we say, skeptic and dangerous"
Soon, the two vanished into the shadows leaving the room and Natsu
The black flames on Natsu's fist disperse and so were the black markings with the red scales that slowly disappears
"who knew that he cared" Demonic Natsu spoke out in Natsu's mind
Natsu merely scoffed before going to bed and rest but not after he made a glowing red magic circle around the room
The magic circle shined crimson before it disappears
"really think that this will keep that girl from sucking our blood?" Demonic Natsu asked as Natsu merely went under the blankets and went to sleep "I'll take that as a yes"
Soon the night was silent as the moon shines
