Chapter 25: Thriller Bark I
Brook and the rest of the crew was sitting is the kitchen on the Sunny. Brook said "I look like a skeleton because I ate the Yomi-Yomi no mi, when I died my soul went back to my body and I became a skeleton." the crew nodded and Zeus said "Devil fruit shenanigans." Ussop looked at Brook and said "Hey, you don't have a shadow or a reflection!" Brook sighed and said "My shadow was stolen from me, and I've been stuck in the Florian Triangle for 50 years. If I leave the sun will burn me up and I'll die." Nami said "Who stole your shadow?" Brook shook his head and said "I'm not going to say anything about that man, it's too dangerous for you guys. I'm sorry Luffy I would love to join your crew but I can't." Luffy said "We'll just get your shadow back!" Brook shook his head and said "You can't he's too strong." Zeus sighed and said "Brook, I already know who took your shadow." Brook was shocked and said "How do you know?" Zeus rubbed his nose and said "Well I was a marine until about a week ago.." The rest of the crew chuckled and Zeus continued "I know the warlords pretty well." he turned to the crew and said "Remember what happened with Croc? Shishishi" Zeus laughed and most of the crew laughed with him, Luffy said "That guy who was a woman?" Zeus nodded and the boat shook, he said "Anyway, we've already landed on Thriller Bark so we have no choice. Shishishi"
Brook sighed and said "Yes my shadow was stolen from me by him, but I have to get it back myself!" Brook got up and Zeus stopped him "Hold now, Bone-bag. How are you going to stop Moria, yourself?" Brook looked to see the rest of the crew smiling at him, even though Ussop was shaking. Zeus chuckled and said "We'll help you, I'm pretty sure Luffy was going to do it anyway." Luffy nodded and said "I was." Zeus grinned and said "Perfect, I wanted to try more rota- I mean I wanted to fight too."Robin glared at him, he sweated a bit and Nami giggled, Zeus continued and said "Alright for the first time, i'll be the informant. Moria is the warlord he can steal shadows and shove them into himself or other things. He has 3 strong subordinates, all together they're called the mysterious four, one is Moria himself, second one is a ghost girl called Perona, and before you ask yes, she is, third is doctor Hogback, and the last of them is the worst." Nami said "Who's the last one?" Zeus' temples bulged out and dark red lighting started crackling around him and said "His name is Absalom, he has a bunch of stitched parts and a lion's snout." The crew was confused about Zeus' reaction, Nami said "So? How is he bad?"
Zeus closed his eyes and stretched out his gauntlet donned hand at lightning speed right next to Robin's head and took his hand back while squeezing it and said "Because he ate the Suke Suke no mi, and he's a huge pervert." Zeus channeled lighting around his hand causing Absalom to scream, Zeus sneered with a blood thirsty expression "So Absalom, decided to jump into the grave a bit early, by touching my woman eh?" Absalom revealed himself, and stuttered "W-Who are you?!" Zeus tightened his grip as his eyes turned red and he cackled "You're worst nightmare." he was about to kill him, but Luffy said "Zeus. Enough." Zeus sighed and relaxed him grip but didn't let Absalom go, Absalom took deep breaths and said "Y-you're a monster!" Zeus snapped "Oi! You look like a patchwork doll and you're callin me a monster?! I'm the most handsome person you've ever seen!" Absalom sneered and crossed his arms and said "You sure you're not talkin about me?" Zeus snapped "Oi do you really want to be ashes that badly?!" Sanji walked towards Absalom, Zeus giggled and said "Unfortunately, I'm probably not the one who wants to kill you the most here." Sanji stopped in front of Absalom and said "You took my dream from me." Zeus said "Actually Sanji if you really want the fruit, we can kill him and hope it grows on Nami's tangerine trees." Sanji sighed and shook his head, Zeus turned to Luffy and said "Lu, what do I do with him?" he shook Absalom in his hands, like a ragdoll, Zeus continued and said "He's actually quite durable, we could tie him up and use him for target practice, he might be able to get cut quite a lot." Zoro was interested and said "Really?" Zeus said "Oi, patchwork lion, how many cuts before you can't handle it anymore?" Absalom was shaking and said "I don't know, a lot?" Zeus said to Zoro "I don't know, kinda seems like he's challenging you to me" Zoro gave Absalom a blood thirsty grin and said "Sounds like fun" Zeus said "Chopper you can also do experiments on him, Nami can test her clima-tact and Ussop can try out new bullets!" Robin shook her head at Zeus, who was trying his hardest to make Absalom public enemy number 1, she said "Zeus, why do you hate him so much?" Zeus said "This bastard was about to take advantage of you! Also, an invisible enemy is quite hard to handle no?" Robin thought about it and nodded, Luffy said "I know! He'll bring us to Moria!" Absalom said "Absolutely not! I'd rather die!" Zeus shrugged and said "Suit yourself." lightning started circulating again, Absalom said "Wait! Let's all calm down, we can talk this over like adults no?" Luffy said "Are you going to take us to Moria?" Absalom shook his head and Luffy nodded and said "Kick his ass but don't kill him" Zeus and Sanji grinned and said in unison "With pleasure." they walked out of the kitchen and the rest of the crew heard Absalom's screams.
Zeus and Sanji walked back with satisfied expressions, and Luffy said "You didn't kill him did you?" Zeus shook his head and Sanji said "No, but he's currently stuck in one of the giant teeth of the gate outside. Luffy nodded and said "Then let's go kick that Moria guys ass!" The crew walked out and sailed through the mouth gate and anchored on the island-ship.
Zeus said "Alright there are a lot of Zombies on the island along with Moria, Hogback, and Perona. Perona ate a fruit that allows her to control negative and positive ghosts, and she can astral project herself, so if you see her, it's probably not her real body." Robin said "Negative ghosts?" Zeus chuckled and said "They're really fun actually, they make a person super negative, and that person loses their will to fight. I saw this one time at a warlord meeting she hit a marine with one and he said how he was useless and wished he was a flea. Shishishishi" Robin shook her head and Chopper said "Is the Hogback you said THE doctor Hogback?" Zeus hesitated looking at Chopper's excited face, he sighed and said "Listen to me carefully Chopper, I know you admire Dr. Hogback but what he has been doing here is not good." Chopper tilted his head, Zeus finally said "He is bringing back the dead, all the zombies on the island are patchwork creations of dead people who had their shadows removed and stuffed into corpses. All the people that go missing into the Florian Triangle turn into test subjects." Chopper said "No! You're lying! He's a Doctor he wouldn't do that!" Zeus said "Believe what you want, i'm telling the truth. Go see him if you don't believe me." Chopper hopped off the boat, Nami and Ussop chased after him, Zeus shouted "Oi! Watch out for the invisible pervert!" and turned to the rest, noticing Brook was gone, Zeus said "Where did the bone-bag go?" Zoro said "He ran onto the island when you were talking to Chopper." Zeus sighed and said "What a mess." Luffy said "Let's go already!" and hopped off the boat landing on the island, the rest following after him.
Zeus and the rest walked on the island and ran into ghosts, the ghosts passed through Luffy, Zoro, Franky, and Robin. Zeus chuckled as Luffy and Zoro were depressed saying 'I shouldn't have been born' and Franky said "I want to be a bug.' Zeus turned to Robin, she looked at him and frowned, Zeus was confused and said "Um, Robin?" Robin said "What do you want idiot?" Zeus blinked and Robin said "You're disgusting, get away from me." Zeus was shocked and Sanji started laughing, Zeus turned to him and threw him towards a ghost, he passed through one and said "I should live away from people, because i'm so ugly" Zeus laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes, and everyone else slowly woke up, they saw Zeus laughing and he pointed to Sanji who was still mumbling about being ugly, and fell down on the ground holding his stomach, Zoro laughed at Sanji too. Sanji snapped out of it and saw Zeus and Zoro laughing at him and snapped "Oi! mosshead, mask-boy! You think that's funny?!" Zeus and Zoro looked at each other and said together "Yea we do, 'ugly'." and they started laughing again, Sanji lunged at the two and they started a dustbrawl, the dust settled revealing 5 figures, Luffy and Franky got dragged in too, Franky rubbed his head and said "I think I did pretty good for my first dustbrawl." The other 4 nodded and Robin giggled.
The group continued along, they came across zombies and monsters on the way to the huge castle. Zeus came up to Robin and said "What happened with the negative ghosts?" Robin said "I don't know, seemed like it just made me darker and more mean." Zeus grumbled and said "Yea i'll say.." Robin giggled and pouted at him "Aww is my litlle softie sad I said mean things to him?" Zeus blushed, while scratching his head and said "No, but if you kiss me I might feel better." Robin rolled her eyes and quickly kissed his cheek, Zeus rubbed his cheek and complained "On the cheek?! Damn stingy woman.." Robin giggled and the group came across a huge three headed animal.
The animal had 2 wolf heads and 1 fox head, Zeus tilted his head and said "Is that supposed to be like Cerberus?" Robin shrugged "I guess." Luffy said "Why is one of the heads a fox?" Zeus walked up and looked at the heads, they snarled at him, he said "You realize that you're the least scary thing i've ever seen, right?" The three headed animal dropped it's heads and wimpered, Zeus sighed and stroked the middle head and said "Cmon it's okay, you're still cute. I'll call you Jimmy." he hopped on Jimmy's back and said to the rest "Hey guys! Come up!" The rest of the group got on and Franky said "Jimmy?" Zeus said "Yeah, isn't he the greatest?" Robin facepalmed, and Franky said "What kind of stupid name is that?" Zeus said "Oi, scrap metal you better not hurt Jimmy's feelings." Franky mumbled "Dumb electric bastard." Zeus sighed and said "You really still haven't come up with something knew? It's been like over a week." Franky said "Well I haven't had the time to thing about it." Zeus sighed again and said to Robin "Why do I have to put up with this cola drinking tin can?" Robin giggled and Franky snapped "Oi, It's ME that has to deal with YOU!" Zeus and Franky slammed foreheads and Zeus said "You wanna say that again cola freak?!" Franky said "I'll do you one better, and say it three more times!" Franky proceeded to saying again, three more times, Zeus seethed and said "You scrap metal, tin can, rusty parts, cola filled, metal nosed, blue haired bastard! I'm gonna kick your ass!" They started fighting on top of Jimmy, who whimpered and continued walking. Eventually Franky and Zeus stopped fighting and Zeus said "You bastard, who wears seastone brass knuckles?!" Zeus had a few bruises on his face and Franky chuckled and said "Who's handsome now, you bastard!" Franky also had a black eye, and was missing a tooth. Zeus flared up and Robin giggled while taking care of his face bruises, Luffy was laughing and Zoro and Sanji said "Looks like the ship has another rivalry."
The group met a guy who also had his shadow stolen, the man said "Please get our shadows back! There are around a hundred more of us!" Luffy agreed and the group continued their journey. The group stopped in front of a huge door, Zeus hops off Jimmy and knocks on the door, he said "Moria! Open up, we're here to check your water meter!" the crew looked confused and the door opened revealing a zombie, the zombie said "I thought you came to check it last month?" Zeus coughed, not expecting that, and said "Well, I brought the data back and it turns out there's a problem, me and my co-workers need to speak to Moria about possible solutions." the zombie said anxiously "I don't know if that's such a good idea.." Zeus put on a stern look and said "These are pretty costly, are you going to be the one to make a big decision like that? If you are then there's no need to talk to Moria, I'll just explain the details to you." the zombie started sweating and said "No, I can't make such a big decision. You're gonna have to go to Moria." Zeus nodded and said "Lead the way sir." the zombie opened the door and walked away, the group followed after him. Robin looked impressed and threw a flirty look at Zeus, he saw it and blocked his nose while smirking, he cursed 'vixen' under his breath and continued following the zombie.
The group followed the zombie and walked into a room, a bunch of zombies ambushed them, the zombie that was leading them said "No! Stop!" but the zomboes kept attacking Zeus and the rest fought off the zombies and beat them all in only a short moment, the fight ended and Zeus said "Wasn't even enough for a warm up." the zombie leading them was shocked and said "Woah, you guys are pretty strong for a repair crew, also you're missing a guy" Zeus looked around and said "Well we have to go to some pretty crazy places, and don't worry he went to see if theres any damage to the pipes." the zombie found this answer to be acceptable and continued, the group minus Sanji followed him.
They cam across a huge room with tents, a zombie walked out of the tent and said "Oi, Buhichuck! Who are these guys?" Buhichuck said "They're here to fix the water meter, they want to talk to Moria about prices." the zombie looked at Buhichuck and said "Uh, Buhichuck... We don't have a water meter." Buhichuck froze and everybody was silent, Buhichuck said "Then why were there people here last month?" the zombie said "...They were here to fix the castle." Buhichuck turned around and Zeus waved him off "Don't let him fool you. This is a mansion not a castle." Buhichuck was truly confused now, he said "Hey is this a mansion or a castle?" the zombie scratched his head and said "Uh, I think it's a castle." another zombie piped in and said "I heard Moria, saying it was a mansion." Zeus patted Buhichuck on the shoulders and said "See? They don't even know what they're talking about." at this moment a girl floated into the room and said "What's going on here?" Buhichuck said "These guys are here to repair the water meter, miss Perona." Perona blinked and said "We don't have a water meter." Buhichuck turned to Zeus. Zeus sighed and said "Alright forget it this gag's getting old." Franky said "Finally!" Perona said "They're intruders attack!" the zombies attacked the group, Zeus donned his gauntlets and started fighting the zombies leisurely, while singing. Perona threw negative hollows at him, he slumped and said "Ahh I'm not handsome! I want to be a flea!" the Strawhats were shocked and Robin was angry, she pointed at Perona and said "You bitch!" Perona was shocked at Zeus' statement and choked when Robin yelled at her, she made a negative hollow pass through Robin. Robin sneered at her and said "You're ugly, go die." Perona started crying and said "I wish I was never born!" Zeus recovered and blinked, Robin looked at him and said "Shut up baby." Zeus was shocked and looked at Perona who was crying and zapped her, Perona woke up and said "You! How are you immune to my hollows!" Robin said "I don't know" Zeus said "Get out of here pinky" he zapped Perona again causing her to flee. The crew quickly ended the fight, but Zoro, Franky, and Robin were separated from Luffy and Zeus.
Luffy and Zeus looked at each other, and Zeus grabbed Buhichuck and said "Alright enough filler! Take us to Moria, so we can get this over with!" Buhichuck nodded and brought them to Moria's room. Zeus just blew up the door and walked in with Luffy. Inside the room Moria was standing next to a huge man, who was holding a bible, Luffy said "Which of of you is Moria?" Moria pointed at himself and said "Who are you?" Luffy said "I'm Luffy and I'm gonna be King of the pirates, i'm here to kick your ass!" Zeus sighed and said "Hey Kuma! How you doing?" Kuma, the man with the bible, said "Not too bad, yourself?" Zeus waved his hand and said "Eh. You know living, kind of annoyed with all the zombies around here though." Kuma chuckled and said "Yeah, there's a lot of them." Zeus said "How about we go outside? Wouldn't want to get caught up in the fight would we?" Kuma walked out of the room and Zeus followed him and said "Kick his ass Luffy!" Luffy nodded and threw a punch at Moria.
Outside, Zeus lit up a cigarette and said to Kuma "So what are you doing here?" Kuma said "I came here to see if you were with Straw hat, and to tell Moria of Crocodile's Warlord replacement." Zeus froze and said "Don't tell me it's Blackbeard" Kuma nodded and said "It is, how did you know that?" Zeus snapped "Impossible! Ace beat him on Banaro Island! I made sure he had enough help to win!" Kuma said "Fire Fist? Teach and Ace were both found by Kizaru on the island, Teach was severely burned and Ace was unconscious, Kizaru showed up and took them both. Teach told Kizaru that he technically brought Ace in since it was a mutual defeat and asked to become a Warlord. The Gorosei agreed, although i'm a bit uneasy around that man." Zeus was extremely angry he said "Kuma, Teach is really bad news. Did Ace get taken to Impel Down?" Kuma nodded and said "Why?" Zeus said "He's my and Luffy's sworn brother." Zeus sighed and said "This is not good, anyway Kuma did you ever go through with becoming a cyborg?" Kuma froze a little and said "Yes, I did." Zeus shook his head "I don't understand your motive, If you work for Dragon why would you become a mindless robot for the World Government?" Kuma was silent, and Zeus sighed again and said "When are you going to get the complete operation?" Kuma said "Soon." Zeus didn't say anything and just sat in silence, Kuma stood up and said "Well It's been nice chatting Zeus, after this we'll be enemies so, this is farewell." Zeus smirked and said "See you later Kuma, maybe more soon than you'd like. I guess you're also here to help Moria in case we defeat him?" Kuma was silent and Zeus said "I'm also guessing you have orders to eliminate everyone on the island, including us, should Moria be defeated?" Kuma nodded, Zeus laughed and said "So then i'll see you real soon Kuma Shishishishishi" Kuma sighed and disappeared. Zeus was sitting by himself smoking he mumbled to himself "This is bad, really really bad. Fucking Kizaru, i'll give him a piece of my mind." he stood up threw away he cigarette and flashed away.
Zeus was standing on top of the castle trying to find his crew members, he saw Zoro on the roof fighting a zombie with a katana, and flashed near the fight. Zeus sat down next to Brook and said "So I guess this guy has your shadow?" Brook jumped at the sight of the sudden Zeus, and said "Yes, where did you come from?" Zeus took out another cigarette, offered one to Brook, who actually took it and let them both before saying "I was standing on the roof somewhere else and saw mosshead fighting so I came to watch." Zeus paused and said "You don't have lungs where does the smoke go?" Brook said "It just comes out of my chest, but the taste is very nice.. oh wait I don't have a tongue either Yohohohoho" Zeus chuckled and said "You know Brook you're probably the nicest skeleton i've ever met, the only live one too!" Brook laughed and said "Thank you, you're the nicest guy i've ever seen.. oh wait I don't have eyes!" Zeus laughed again and shook his head, Zoro finally beat the Zombie and the zombie gave Zoro his katana, the zombie fell backward and Brook got his shadow back and started crying, Zoro turned and say Zeus and Brook smoking (and crying) and said "You two have been there the whole time?" Zeus exhaled and said "I was here for maybe 5 minutes? Anyway Luffy's fighting Moria and he doesn't like help, so here I am. I only found you guys so far." he stood up and punched a hole in the roof and said "Let's go." before he jumped in, Zoro and Brook followed him.

Monkey_Godking Hey guys! I changed what happens in Thiller Bark slightly, I really don't care what happens to be honest this whole arc was kinda boring anyway. Also War of the best is confirmed from Kuma himself, not that any of you are surprised, keep in mind what Zeus said just after kuma left, maybe you'll stumble upon some foreshadowing ;) I don't always foreshadow so really no need to look into things.
Next time: Probably the end of Thriller Bark I might put oars, i might not, but if i do Zeus will fight him and maybe use some controllable rotations? There are 8 total (for now) and 8,7,6 are contollable the rest are not. That will change but not now anyway I think theyre kinda cool, its sort of hard to come up with moves and names but hey I tried.
