Chapter 18: Skypeia III
Ussop suddenly stood up and said "I need to go to the bathroom. Zoro can you go with me?" Zoro gave him a look and said "Are you five years old?" Ussop said "It's all scary and dark" Zoro sighed and stood up, Zeus heard and said to everyone "You guys wanna see Merry?" everybody was confused, Zeus just stood up and said "Follow me." the group stood up and followed Zeus to the Merry, while they were walking Nami said "What do you mean see Merry?" Zeus stopped and pointed with his hand "Ahem* Let me introduce you to Merry." Everybody turned and gasped, Ussop screeched "GHOST!" Zeus smacked the back of his head and said "Oi Long-nose THAT'S the Merry!" he jumped and landed on the boat and hugged the ghost. Luffy wrapped his hand around everybody else and jumped on the boat as well.
The 'ghost' was shocked by everybody standing there staring at her "Um... Hi guys. I'm Merry" Merry waved her small hands. Luffy had his mouth wide open and said "SO COOL!" and tackled Merry causing her to yelp. Everybody facepalmed and turned to Zeus, and Zeus just said "That's Merry's soul, the more former name is Klabautermann, basically the spirit of a ship that was well taken care of and loved, though they only appear when.." Zeus looked away and sighed, Ussop said "When what?" Zeus looked him in the eyes and said "When they're about to die." Ussop paled and the rest of the group had similar reactions, Luffy was still playing with Merry and Merry said "Thank you guys for taking care of me all this time" Luffy laughed and said "Shishishishi Don't worry about it Merry, you're nakama!" Merry teared up and started crying, Zeus walked up and held her face and said "Cmon Merry, don't cry, I told you I was gonna save you didn't I? I promised." Merry nodded and said "Yeah but-" Zeus hugged her and said "I promised." Merry just nodded and silently shed more tears as she whispered "Sorry for being useless." Zeus sighed and said "You're not useless, you've helped so much and will continue to help, trust me." Zeus let her go and backed off thinking about something as the rest of the group surrounded Merry and started smashing her with questions, Luffy said "Do you poop?" Nami smashed his head into the ground and Merry giggled and said "No" Nami asked a bunch of different questions and finally said "What did Kurama mean when he said he was going to save you?" Merry looked confused and said "Who?" Nami was also confused and said "Kurama the guy with the mask, that just talked to you and is standing over there?" She pointed at Zeus and Merry said "Don't you mean Z-" Robin cut her off and said "How did you even show up here Merry?" Merry said "Well I manifested myself, so I could fix my body, it's kinda tough since we don't have a shipwright and I don't have any memories of shipwrighting." The rest of the crew took that information in as Nami asked "You have all our memories?" Merry nodded and said "Yup everyone that Luffy considers nakama, and only those that love the ship, so I basically have all of yours. My personality is also made through all of your own." Sanji said "So you know everything about us?" Merry replied "Yup and A LOT more, Z-Kurama knows almost everything, including everything about you guys." Zoro narrowed his eyes and said "Everything?" Merry nodded and said "Everything," then added "Kuina" Zoro's pupils shrunk and Merry turned to Robin and said "As well as his feelings towards everyone on the crew." Robin reddened and Chopper said "What does he think about me?" Merry giggled and said "He thinks you're really cute like a stuffed doll, and sometimes he steals you when you're sleeping to use as a pillow." Chopper froze and said "No wonder I keep waking up in different places." Luffy said "What about me?" Merry hesitated and said "Well he loves you, and considers you family." Luffy wasn't satisfied and said "Aren't we all family?" everyone smiled at that, Merry said "Yeah, I guess but he's y-" Robin cut her off again and said "Merry-chan, do you need help with the ship?" Merry shook her head and said "I need to do this myself. I don't want to be a burden, think of it as one of my last requests." everyone took in the severity of that statement, even Luffy as the mood turned somber, Nami said "But didn't Kurama say he was going to save you?" Merry turned serious "He did but I can read his memories and even HE doesn't know if it's going to work." Nami said "What is it?" Merry said "It was something he read in a book one time and he's trying it out as it is pretty much our only option, but he wanted to keep it a surprise." the rest asked why and Merry said "If i told you that i could save your life, and failed wouldn't others hate me for giving them false hope?" they turned to look at Zeus who was sitting on the railing mumbling about something, and turned back to Merry, who smiled and said "Anyway I have to go and repair the ship or I won't have time to anymore, See ya guys!" Merry grabbed her hammer and started fixing the ship, everyone including Zeus jumped off the ship and headed back towards their camp site, and went to sleep.
The next morning, Zeus woke up with an arm around him, he looked and saw Robin was silently sleeping next to him and grabbed on to him during the night, he smiled and hugged her, while softly stroking her silky black hair, she felt him and snuggled up closer. Zeus was stroking her and smiling, thinking about all the time they spent together, it wasn't a long time but it wasn't short either, in fact, from their talk in the storage room to now, had only been around two weeks but they were a happy two weeks. Zeus sighed and said "Maybe while Robin's sleeping I'll just tickle her a little and see where her sweet spots are." Robin's eyes opened and she looked at him while pouting and said "At least let me pretend to be a sleep" Zeus chuckled and said "But I like it when you look at me, plus.." his hands started moving around her body and tickling her "I wasn't just saying that" Robin started laughing as she pleaded "Dereshishishi Please stop shishi I can't shishi I can't breathe shishi it hurts! shishi" Zeus laughed and hugged her close and took his mask off and kissed her, after moving away he smiled and said "You're cute when you laugh for real, you know that?" Robin caught her breath and smiled at him and said "Only for you." Zeus was in a daze and his face turned red, he stuttered and said "I-You-Uh-Wha" He was staring blankly at her and she giggled, the tent flap opened and Zoro poked his head inside and said "Wake up, we have to-" Before he froze, Zeus and Robin froze as well, they both turned to look at Zoro and Zeus said "Uhh Hi?" and put his mask on before he snapped "AND DON'T YOU KNOW HOW TO KNOCK YOU SHITTY MOSSHEAD!" Zoro was still in a daze and walked away with his mouth wide open, obviously not expecting that. Zeus sighed and rubbed his forehead and Robin looked at him and said "It's okay I don't think he's gonna tell anybody." Zeus said "I hope so" as he got up and helped Robin up and said "Let's go." as they both walked out of the tent.
Zeus and Robin joined the crew and saw Nami looking at some maps, while Zoro was still lost, and the rest were doing something else. Zeus coughed and said "So what are we doing now?" Nami said "So me, Sanji and Ussop are going to take the Merry out of the Upper Yard while you, Robin, Zoro, and Luffy are going to find the city of gold." Zeus nodded and the crew separated.
Zeus' group was walking through the forest and was silent, until Zoro spoke up, "So you knew?" he said to Robin, who nodded and smiled, Zeus said "She's one of the few and now you are too congratulations." Zoro said "Who else?" Zeus rubbed the back of his head and said "My granpa, Nojiko, the old man at Gold Roger's bar in Loguetown, and Smokey." and he whispered "And Ace." Luffy turned around and said "What about those people?" Zeus said "Just a bunch of people I know." Luffy said "That old man at the bar was a really cool guy!" Zeus smiled and said "Yea really cool, he gave me a gift before I left Loguetown." Luffy complained "I didn't get one!" Zeus laughed and said "Maybe because he thought I was more handsome than you. He also said that I was going to be King of the Pirates instead of you." Luffy stopped and turned around and said "NO IT'S GONNA BE ME!" Zeus smashed his forehead with Luffy's and said "OH YEAH?!" Luffy said "YEAH!" Zeus and Luffy got into a dust brawl causing Robin to giggle, when they stopped Zoro was somehow pulled in again, as he complained "How does that keep happening to me?" Zeus and Luffy laughed and continued their journey.
While they were walking, a giant snake attacked them causing the group to separate, Zeus yelled to Zoro "OI MOSHEAD! If you see someone with a cloud sword grab it for me!" Zoro just put his thumb in the air and disappeared, leaving on Zeus and Robin. "Cloud sword?" she said, Zeus shrugged and said "Who knows maybe I get lucky?" Robin shook her head as they continued walking, she spoke and said "Merry said that you know everything last night is that true?" Zeus hesitated and said "Almost everything, but I know most of the crew's secrets and some other things like where some Ponegliffs are, I don't know anything about the void century or the will of D if that's what you want to ask." Robin nodded, and Zeus spoke again "I do know someone who does know though." Robin opened her mouth and Zeus continued "But I never asked him and even if I did I wouldn't tell you, wouldn't it be more fun to find out for yourself then to get told by someone who made the journey already?" Robin smiled and nodded, Zeus smiled and turned away and whispered "Plus if you knew you wouldn't stay with the crew anymore." and kept walking along not noticing the small smile on Robin's lips.
Robin and Zeus made it to some ruins and Robin was ecstatic, before noticing the man standing in the middle of the ruins. The man turned to the duo and said "My name is Yama and-" Zeus cut his off and said "Yeah Yeah one of the priests, Enel sent you here to get us , can't you say anything else?" Robin giggled and Yama blinked before attacking Zeus and smashing one of the stones. Zeus saw that and gulped as he said "Oh boy you shouldn't have done that." Robin spoke up glaring at Yama "Why did you break the stones, don't you know these are the history of your people?" Yama sneered and said "I don't care for history." as he smashed another stone, Zeus was truly afraid now and he said "Dude, you're fucked, you really should not have done that." Robin was seething now as she crossed her arms causing arms to grow on Yama before saying "CLUTCH!" and snapping Yama in half causing him to fall to the ground, and Zeus to gulp and sweat, Robin smiled at Zeus and said "Let's go" Zeus nodded and said "Yes ma'am" and following her.
They arrived at more ruins and Robin found out that there was a ponegliff on the golden bell, and that the place they were currently in was in fact the city of gold, before they could find out more, a man with long ears and a ring of tomoe marked drums on his back. The man said "Hello, I'm Enel, or God." Zeus tensed up and Robin squeezed his hand and smiled at him, he smiled back and said "So you're the god everyone's been talking about?" Enel nodded and said "You're my lightning, I presume?" Zeus tilted his head and said "YOUR lightning?" Enel chuckled and said "Yes, as God of course I can control my lightning, now come with me, we're going to fairy vearth along with the rest of the survivors of my survival game." Zeus was silent and Robin said "Survival game?" Enel nodded and said "Yes, I designed a game with all the people in my territory and the remaining few will follow me to fairy vearth." Zeus said "You realize that nobody wants to go with you to 'fairy vearth' right?" Robin looked at Zeus and said "What's fairy vearth?" Zeus said "He's talking about the moon." Robin covered her mouth and giggled, causing Enel to be displeased "What is this 'moon' you speak of?" Zeus said "Ahem* Well the moon is the giant white rock you see in the sky, scientists theorize that the moon was formed when an asteroid smashed into the planet and tore a chunk off, through millions of years and gravitational orbit, that chunk has taken a somewhat rounded shape and circles around the earth, making a full cycle each day." Enel looked even more confused, Zeus sighed and said "It's the giant rock you see at night." Enel said "Yes that is fairy vearth!" Zeus turned to Robin and said "Is this guy an idiot?" Robin shrugged and threw her hands up while shaking her head. Zeus turned to Enel and said "Alright what's next? You took the gold and are going to fly to fairy vearth, and after that?" Enel rubbed his chin and said "Well I guess just live there?" Zeus deadpanned "What do you mean just live there? The space pirates don't take too kindly to strangers ya know." Robin looked at Zeus questioningly, he waved his hand and said "Interesting story about that actually, do you want to know?" She nodded and Zeus turned to Enel and said "Alright story time children gather around!" he cleared his throat and continued "All the people on all the sky islands, actually where not from our planet but were actually inhabitants of the moon, or 'fairy vearth', apparently they floated down to our planet through balloons, because they were running out of resources. They ancient moon people landed on the sky islands and decided to live there permanently, there were many tribes specifically Birkans, Shandians, and Skypeians." Robin was extremely interested and said "How do you know that?" Zeus said "I read it in a book" Enel was incredulous and said "The Birkan people were from fairy vearth? But that was just a folk tale!" Zeus said "All stories have varying amounts of truth to them, is the Sky people did migrate from the moon it would've been at least 1100 years ago, who's to say that what is said was the truth? Maybe someone made it up." Zeus sighed and said "Anyways back to your survival game? Actually hold that thought I have a question, Did you put that ring into your back or did someone do it for you and how does it stay up?" Enel blinked and said "Actually it just appeared when I ate my devil fruit really." Zeus rubbed the bottom of his mask and nodded his head and said "Devil fruit shenanigans." Enel snapped and said "Hey! Did you say all that nonsense to distract me and give your friends time to get here?" Zeus coughed and was embarrassed and said "Nonono You're overthinking it. Definitely did not do that." Enel said "Good otherwise the consequences would be severe." Zeus blinked and said "You believed that?" Enel's expression warped and Zeus gave a smug grin and said "Damn I must be a pretty good actor." Robin slapped her forehead, and Enel said "Foolish, now prepare for the consequences." He pointed at Robin and shot a lightning bolt at her, but Zeus flashed in the way causing it to hit him. Zeus growled "Watch it, Long-eared freak, you're treading on a thin fucking line." Enel sneered and said "You can't stop me." he flashed behind Zeus and stretched out his hands to grab Robin, Zeus turned and grabbed Enel and smashed him on the ground, he grabbed Robin and flashed a fair distance away before kissing her and saying "Stay here and be safe." Zeus flashed back to Enel and kicked him sending him flying. Enel stood up and said "You cannot hurt me, I am your owner!" Zeus snarled and said "I am nobody's property!" and charged at Enel before lunging on his hands and sending his heels towards Enels head, Zeus feet crackled with lightning.
"Thunder Dragon Crusher!"
Zeus' heels smashed Enel into the ground, Zeus kicked him in his side sending him flying in the air, as he jumped up and geppo's ahead of Enel and spun in the air before kicking Enel back down to the ground.
"Thunder Dragon slash!"
Enel flew towards the ground and Zeus flashed under him, he pulled back his fist and threw a punch towards Enel's stomach.
"Dragon breaker."
Enel curled like a shrimp and smashed into the rumble surrounding them, Zeus clapped his hands and walked away, he found Robin, who had her mouth wide open, and said "Looks like I was wrong, though I was expecting better, at least you're safe now" Robin smiled, before paling looking behind Zeus, Zeus turned around and protected Robin behind him. Zeus saw Enel and was shocked, he didn't look human anymore. Standing in front of Zeus was Enel but he now looked more like a demon, he had red skin, long sharp teeth with two on the top sticking out and two on the bottom sticking out, like Zeus' other mask, and huge white horns, the other things that were the same was his long earlobes and his ring of drums. Enel cracked his neck and said "I'd expect nothing less than that from my lightning, it even felt good." Zeus stood in front of Robin and said "What do you mean?" Enel chuckled and said "I ate the Hito-Hito no mi: Raijin (the thunder god) model, lightning and thunder can't hurt me and since you're made of lightning, I am completely immune to your attacks, also.." Enel lifted his hand and lightning crackled around it forcing Zeus to move away from Robin and walk to Enel's side, and forcing him to kneel "I can control ALL lightning." Robin paled, and Zeus was struggling to stop the control. Enel turned to Robin and said "Now for you" as he lifted his hand, Zeus shouted "NO STOP! I'LL DO WHAT YOU SAY LET HER GO!" Enel scoffed and said "Fine for your loyalty i'll leave her alive." He shot a lightning bolt at Robin and she fell to the ground, as Zeus shouted "ROBIN!" and glared at Enel "I already said i'll do what you want! Why did you do that!" Enel said "This is the consequences of defying me. Now let's go." Zeus got up and followed after Enel, who changed back into his human form, picked up his golden staff and walked away. Zeus turned to look at Robin and silently prayed that she would be okay before disappearing.
A while later everyone who survived the survival game, except for those who were lost or hadn't got there yet, arrived at the city of gold, the strawhats minus Luffy, Wyper the Shandian, and Ganfall were all there. Chopper was treating Robin and the rest were looking around, eventually Robin woke up and looked around her, she saw everyone and didn't see Zeus, she remembered he willingly let Enel control him just so they she would be safe and silently shed tears. The rest Came over and Nami said "Robin what's wrong and where's Kurama?" Robin wiped her eyes and said "He's-" "Here." Enel cut her off and appeared with Zeus standing next to him, with a metal collar around his neck. Enel said "Welcome survivors, congratulations on being the last ones. You shall all come with me to fairy vearth." Zeus wanted to say something but Enel snapped his fingers and forced him to keep quiet, everyone only heard muffled grunts. Robin said nothing while the rest of the Strawhats were seething, Sanji said "What did you do to the mask freak?!" Enel chuckled and said "You mean my lightning? He works for me now, whether he likes it or not." Sanji snapped "You forced him?" Enel tilted his head and said "You could say that, but he gave in to save that woman." he pointed to Robin and continued "It was either her death or his submission, or I killed her and forced him to submit anyway." Gan Fall sighed, and Wyper said "So he's a slave." Enel shook his head and said "No he's my weapon." Enel flicked and Zeus sent out a lighting bolt towards Wyper, who rolled out of the way and drew his bazooka, pointing it at Zeus. Enel said "You see, he does whatever I make him do, therefore he is my weapon." The rest were horrified, and Zeus just looked at Robin and smiled trying to wave, Enel snapped his fingers, causing Zeus to move back next to Enel like a puppet, and said "Now, who's coming with me to fairy vearth, everyone looked at each other and attacked Enel. Enel stepped back and started making movements with his hands, Zeus shot out and started attacking, he dodged Wyper's bazooka and punched him sending Wyper flying, he turned around and ducked under Gan Fall's lance and kicked Gan Fall's side, taking him out, Zeus stood up and stopped moving, allowing the rest of the attackers to hit him. All their attacks passed right through him and they got electrocuted. Zeus didn't move and looked at Enel and said "Enough, you said you wouldn't hurt them." Enel said "You're right I did say that but it was them who attacked me first, so naturally I have to retaliate." Enel snapped his fingers and forced Zeus to move, Zeus growled and resisted "ENEL! They pose no threat, they didn't even touch you! Let them go!" Enel frowned and moved his hands faster, forcing Zeus to move, Zeus couldn't resist this time, as he turned to the crew and said "Sorry, please run." and he flashed like a ghost punching Zoro in the side sending him flying, he ducked under Sanji's kick and swung his legs in the air kicking Sanji in the chin, knocking him unconscious, he flashed and grabbed Chopper by the horns and knee'd him in the face and dropped him to the ground, before walking towards Ussop who fell on the ground, and was trembling, Zeus grabbed his nose and flipped him in the air and kicked him in the back sending him flying into the rumble on the side. Nami and Robin watched, shocked at the display of raw power, Robin stared at the bloody figure, who looked like a demon, but she felt the sadness he was feeling. Zeus stood there alone before turning to Enel and saying with no emotions in his voice "Are we done here?" Enel said "You forgot, there's two more." Zeus said "They didn't attack you" Enel nodded and said "You there, do you want to come with me to fairy vearth?" Robin denied and Nami hesitated, Zeus flashed over to Robin and whispered "I'm sorry" before chopping at her neck, lightly, knocking her unconscious. Nami saw that and said "Of course, i'll come!" Enel nodded in satisfaction and motioned for them to follow him, Zeus crouched in front of Nami and said in the same emotionless tone "Get on." Nami got on and Zeus flashed after Enel, shooting up into the sky going towards Enel's ship.
Back down on the ground Luffy finally showed up and saw everybody sitting on the ground bleeding and gathered them up, Zoro woke up and looked around seeing Luffy looking for more people. Zoro said "Luffy?" Luffy turned around and said "Zoro! What happened here?" Zoro was about to answer when the rest started waking up. Chopper go up from the ground and rubbed his nose, that was bleeding, before going and checking on everybody's wounds. While Chopper was checking on everybody, Robin sat up and rubbed her head before walking over to the group, Zoro said "It was Kurama, he beat us all into the ground and left with Enel, I don't know where Nami is though." Luffy said "Why did Kurama beat you up? He wouldn't hurt us." Robin said "Enel was forcing him," The group turned to Robin and she continued "Before, everyone else arrived it was just me, Zeus, and Enel. Enel forced Zeus to either watch me die, or submit to him, Zeus submitted and Enel said that he could control Zeus since he's made of lightning and forced him to kneel. After that, everyone showed up and attacked Enel, he controlled Zeus to fight against all of us, when Zeus was done he knocked me unconscious and took Nami and they left." Luffy looked at the group and said "Anything else?" Gan Fall said "He looked like a slave, Enel put a collar around his neck." Luffy's hat shadowed his eyes, he had his hands clenched and he said "Which way did they go." in a chilling tone.
Back in the air, Zeus and Nami landed on Enel's ship. Enel said "Welcome to the Ark Maxim." Zeus and Nami looked around and Zeus said "So I guess this is where all the gold went." Nami had beri signs in her eyes as she looked around, Zeus sighed and slapped the back of her head and said "Now is not the time." Nami glared at him and said "What's wrong with you?" Zeus looked at her and said "What do you mean?" Nami said "You look all depressed." Zeus snapped "I don't know maybe because I just kicked the shit out of all of my friends and the woman I love?! Not to mention I have a slave collar around my neck, and am literally being controlled?" Nami waved him off and said "So? Luffy's gonna come rescue us soon, and we'll be free then no worries. Plus nobody's gonna hate you for doing that, you had no choice, also you barely touched Robin." Zeus said "Still, I don't like hurting my nakama, makes me feel like shit." Nami patted his back and said "Yeah, I know." Zeus smiled at her before snapping his fingers and saying "Enel." Enel turned around and Zeus continued "I heard one of your priests has a cloud sword?" Enel nodded and Zeus said "I want it." Enel thought for a moment and said "Very well this shall be your reward for your performance from before." Enel flashed and reappeared with Ohm's sword in hand and threw it over to Zeus, who caught it and looked it over, Enel looked at him and went back to doing whatever he was doing. Zeus turned to Nami and whispered "This is for you." Nami looked at him, confused, and Zeus said "There's a dial inside that makes clouds, if Ussop can put it into your clima-tact-" Nami cut him off and stared at the sword "Then my tempos can improve exponentially!" Zeus chuckled and said "There it is, and the Weather Witch is born!" Nami glared at him and strapped the sword to her back. All of a sudden there was a scream, "ENEEEEELLLL!!!"
The trio on the boat turned to look and saw Luffy standing in front of Enel. Luffy said "I'm gonna kick your ass!" Enel sneered and shot a lightning bolt at him, Luffy ran at Enel and was unaffected by the lightning bolt and punched Enel, sending him flying smashing into a wall. Enel got up and snapped his fingers and started moving his hands, causing Zeus to fly out and fight Luffy.
Zeus stood in front of Luffy and said "Come to kick my ass too?" Luffy was silent, and Zeus spoke again "I mean I did beat the shit out of everyone in the crew, and I wasn't being controlled either." Nami looked confused 'he was obviously being controlled why would he lie?' she thought, Zeus continued, in an emotionless tone, as he walked forward and said "I beat them because I wanted to, do you have anything to say about that StrawHat?" Luffy was still silent and as Zeus cocked him fist back, Luffy spoke "If you were doing it yourself, then why were they only lightly injured?" Zeus' eyes were wide opened as he froze, he obviously held back and didn't seriously injure anyone but Luffy shouldn't have known that unless Chopper woke up, Zeus grinded his teeth and punched Luffy in the face and said "Shut up!" his voice cracking. Luffy took the punch and said nothing. Zeus stopped and looked at him, Enel said "Fight my weapon!" as he moved his hands like there were strings attached, and Zeus started fighting with Luffy, Luffy was dodging all the punches and kicks, as Zeus screamed "Fight back!" Luffy said "I don't fight nakama." Zeus said "He's not gonna stop controlling me until you defeat him and i'm much faster than you, you have to take me out first!" Luffy was struggling, Zeus continued "The only way is to knock me o-" Enel snapped his fingers and said "Enough drivel, you're a weapon." Luffy was enraged and swung his fist back making it stretch behind him, and snapped it back.
"Gum-Gum Pistol!"
Luffys fist collided with Zeus' stomach, and Zeus backed off a step and coughed, Luffy swung both arms back and forth.
"Gum-Gum Gatling!"
Zeus was bombarded with dozens of fists, Zeus jumped back and stumbled a bit before flashing behind Luffy and kicking him in the back, sending up flying into a wall on the Maxim. Luffy got up and bounced off the wall smashing his forehead into Zeus' mask, Zeus flew back and hit the railing on the deck before getting up and dashing towards Luffy punching him, Luffy punched and connected his fist with Zeus' causing sparks to appear in between the two. Zeus and Luffy jumped back and Luffy threw arms arm back and twisted it shooting it back at Zeus' head, Zeus threw his arm back and turned it into lightning before sending it towards Luffy.
"Gum-Gum Rifle!"
"Thunder Dragon Spitfire!"
The two's fists caused cracks to appear on the Maxim, as they kept shooting punched toward each other blocking and meeting each fist equally. Zeus flashed behind Luffy and grabbed Luffy's waist and flipped, smashing Luffy on his head. Luffy twisted his legs around each other before wrapping them around Zeus' body.
"Gum-Gum Hammer!"
Spinning Zeus around sending him flying through the walls of the Maxim. Luffy got up and threw both his hands back really far and snapped them back at Zeus who just got up. Zeus caught his hands just before they hit his stomach, but his own hands smashed into him, causing Zeus to cough up blood, Zeus grabbed Luffy's hands and shook them up and down, making Luffy smash into the deck multiple times, before swinging them around over his head and throwing him back towards the railing. Luffy smashed into the railing and groaned, Zeus walked over him and said "You can't defeat me." Luffy glared at Enel and said "Watch me!" He kicked Zeus, who was caught off guard by his speed and flew into the railing of the ship and shakily got up. Luffy stretched both his hands back again, this time twisting them before sending them flying and spinning towards Zeus.
"Gum-Gum.. Rocket Rifle!"
Luffy smashed both hands into Zeus' face sending him flying off the Maxim, before turning to Enel, and saying "Now i'm really gonna kick your ass."
Zeus was falling towards the ground, and was staring at the sky with was blurry, before smashing into the ground near everyone else.
BOOOM*
Everybody on the ground came over and saw Zeus unconscious on the ground, Zoro said "There's the bastard, Luffy did quite a number on him eh?" Sanji, and the rest nodded, while Robin ran over to him and checked his body, she heard a cracking sound and looked to see his fox mask cracking down the middle along with the collar Enel put on him. She looked at Zoro and said "Everyone leave, I think he's still being controlled." Zoro, getting the message, brought everyone somewhere else as Zeus' mask and the collar finally snapped in half right down the middle revealing his bloody face, she chuckled and teared up, Zeus' face was not exactly handsome right now, he had his mouth wide open and was missing a tooth, his eyes were wide open and rolled up, while his whole face was covered with blood. Robin grabbed both parts of the mask and she called Zoro "Mr. swordsman, can you watch him? I'm going to get his other mask from the ship and i'll be right back." Zoro nodded and came to sit next to Zeus, as Robin went to go get his other mask. Zoro sat next to Zeus and sighed "This is so much more trouble than its worth." Chopper came over with some cloth and Zoro covered Zeus' face with his shirt, Chopper was confused but wrapped Zeus upper body in bandages, when he was done Chopper said "I need to check his face for injuries." Zoro said "He's fine." Chopper snapped "Looking at the rest of his body he is definitely not fine! His mask snapped in half! I'm pretty sure he doesn't want any scars, and you gonna take responsibility if he gets mad that he has any scars?" Zoro shivered and sighed as he took his shirt off of Zeus' face while saying "Don't tell anyone what you saw. I'm serious." Chopper nodded and turned to look at Zeus' face, and stared with wide eyes as he stuttered "He-he-he's Luffy?!" Zoro facepalmed and said "No you idiot! How can there be two Luffys?!" Chopper was scared and said "So who is he?" Zoro shook his head and said "I don't know I only found out this morning by accident, but I think Robin knows" Chopper nodded and went into doctor mode and cleaned Zeus' face and wrapped bandages around it, covering his mouth and going over his nose and forehead, when he was done Robin showed up, with the mask she bought for Zeus in hand. She saw Chopper and sighed, she walked over and took a look at Zeus' face and said "Thank you Mr. Doctor." Chopper nodded and said "Robin do you know who he is?" Robin nodded and said "When he wants to tell us, he will." Zoro said "He told you." Robin blushed and said "That was different." Zoro sighed and nodded, Robin put Zeus mask on his face and helped Zoro and Chopper bring him to the rest of the group.
A while later, Zeus woke up abruptly and sat up in a bed, he looked around and saw Robin sleeping on her arms, leaning on the side of the bed. Zeus took off his mask and sighed, he put the mask down and was confused, it was the demon mask Robin got him and not his kitsune mask that he was wearing. Zeus gave up and decided to ask later, as he put a hand on Robins head and stroked her hair lightly with a sad look on his face. He got off the bed, picked her up gently and laid her down on the bed, before grabbing his mask, putting it on and walking out of the tent he was in. When he left Robin opened her eyes and looked to the door before sighing.
Zeus walked outside and noticed everyone was partying celebrating their freedom. Zeus snuck away and walked around aimlessly before coming across a factory type building, he walked inside and saw Gan Fall sitting at a table with Wyper, on the table was Enel's golden staff. Zeus walked over, causing Gan Fall and Wyper to look at him, he sat down and said "I am truly sorry for what I did to you two." Wyper was silent and Gan Fall sighed and said "It's not your fault, there was nothing you could do." Zeus shook his head and said "I shouldn't have even been in the Upper Yard in the first place I should've hid when I thought Enel could control me. I thought I could beat him and as a result I hurt you two and all my friends, and was forced to help Enel." Gan Fall shook his head and said "You weren't at fault, truthfully speaking, you might have saved us from death at Enel's hands." Wyper finally spoke and said "I don't think I could've done any better against Enel, and he wouldn't have held back." Zeus was confused and said "How did you-" Gan Fall cut him off and said "That little doctor told us." Zeus chuckled and shook his head before saying "Still, I know your Skypeian laws, I wish to be punished with the priests for the crime of helping Enel. Whatever you give me, I will accept." Zeus stood up and pointed at the staff and said "I can help you destroy that, if you want." Gan Fall looked at Zeus for a few seconds and waved his hand "No need we have other uses for it." Zeus nodded and walked away, leaving Gan Fall and Wyper to look at each other, Gan Fall shook his head and said "What a stubborn child." Wyper said "He hurt his friends and us, I think he wants to atone, he's afraid to even face them now." Gan Fall looked at the staff and said "Enel affected more than just the Sky people." and sighed.
Zeus walked on into the night and sat on a rock absentmindedly, and stared at the moon. Robin approached him and sat next to him, he didn't even notice. She looked at him before softly nudging him, he turned to look at her and snapped back to reality "Robin? How did you know where I was?" Robin said "I was awake before you left and I've been following you." Zeus gave a fake chuckle and said "That's kinda creepy don't you think?" Robin was not amused and was more worried than anything, she said softly "Zeus... I heard what you said to Gan Fall." Zeus was silent and Robin continued "It really wasn't your fault, most of the others aren't even hurt. If anything you saved them, and they aren't mad at you either. I saw Luffy looking for you after you left, when you were in the tent he came to see you 3 times." Zeus tensed up and said "Robin, did Luffy ever tell you the story when we we're kids?" Robin nodded and Zeus said "I used to hate him because I couldn't think about anyone in this life being a real person, everything was just gray, I felt alone. He probably told you how he almost died but did he tell you how many times I told him I hated him? How many times I told him he wasn't my real brother? Let me tell you before that day, it was countless times, everyday I ran into the forest and he would chase me, I thought nothing of it, 'he wasn't my real brother so why should I care?' until he saved me, I swore I would never hurt him ever again. I also told you that, and the crew, and I broke all those promises in one day." Robin retorted "But you were being controlled for the most part and you didn't have a choice." Zeus shook his head and said "I could've hidden, I could've stayed on Jaya, I could've wore seastone cuffs, but i didn't do any of that because I thought I could beat him." Robin was silent, he was right he could've done that but he didn't, she said "Nobody would've wanted that." Zeus sighed and said "I know, but if it puts them out of danger especially you, then it doesn't matter what you or they want i would do it without hesitation, even if I have to die" Robin gasped and Zeus continued "Therefore I will accept whatever the Skypeians punish me with, as a 'faux' Priest of Enel." Robin teared up and rested her head on Zeus' shoulder, as they sat silently together.
The next morning, The Straw Hats were ready to go and Zeus showed up standing next to Enel's priests, they looked at him and said "A new face eh?" Zeus growled "Watch it fatso." as lightning crackled around him, Satori yelped and shut up, shaking in fear. The rest of the priests were in chains watching Zeus warily. Luffy and the rest watched on silently, as one priest went after the other, Robin was getting nervous as several priests were sent to work in the mines as slaves, while some were executed, she turned to Luffy and said "Captain.." Luffy put his hand up and said "This is what he wants, if it makes him feel better then it's a good thing." Robin sighed and looked at Zeus, he was called and he turned his head to Robin and the others and lifted his mask to smile at them, he put it back down and walked up to Gan Fall, the rest of the Skypieans, and all the Shandians and slowly kneeled down with his head down, and said "I will accept any punishment." Gan Fall nodded and said "Weapon of Enel, Kurama, for your crimes of aiding Enel, you are sentenced to exile, forbidden on stepping on Skypeia, indefinitely." Zeus looked up and Gan Fall continued "You shall also bear the symbol of Enel, as a reminder of your crimes." Gan Fall stuck Enel's staff in the ground in front of Zeus. Zeus grabbed the staff and stood up, the staff was huge, as Enel was way taller than Zeus, it was around two heads taller than Zeus and was heavy, Zeus looked at Gan Fall and bowed as he said "Very well." he turned around and walked towards the rest of the crew and put the staff on his back, and said nothing, Robin sighed and rubbed his back. The ceremony ended and Conis and her father Pagaya, came and gave them the waver they found in the St. Briss but it was repaired and said that they would escort them to Cloud's End. Luffy and the rest agreed and went on to the ship, Nami and a few others had already taken the gold and stored it in the Merry, and Ussop had traded rubber bands for dials, so they set sail right away.
On the way to Cloud's End, Zeus was sitting alone holding the staff across his legs, when he heard Robin coming out of the galley in a huff, Zeus tilted his head and Robin said "They want you in the galley, I already told them you suffered enough but i guess-" Zeus cut her off and said "I'll go, thank you Robin" Zeus smiled and caressed her face, he turned and walked to the galley door, took a deep breath and walked in.
Inside the rest of the crew was sitting at the table, silent. Zeus sat down and waited for them to speak, Luffy said "I want you to know, it's not your fault." Zeus was silent and Zoro said "But we are going to have to punish you." Zeus tensed and Zoro continued with a demonic grin "I already know you have seastone cuffs, so were gonna beat the shit out of you, while you have them on." Zeus blinked and said "What?!" He looked at all of them, and they all had smiles on their faces, Zeus smirked and said "That's it? You bastards couldn't put a scratch on me before, what's different about now" as he stood up and went to get his cuffs, leaving the rest of the crew and Robin smiling aswell.
A few minutes later
"OI YOU DAMN LOVE COOK I SAID NOT THE FACE! YOU THINK THIS'LL MAKE YOU MORE HANDSOME THAN ME?! IN YOUR DREAMS!" Zeus screamed with his hands behind his back, he had his cuffs on but he had cut the chains so he could train in them, causing the crew to tie his hands with rope. Zeus kept getting hit by Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, and Ussop, sometimes Nami would hit him too, "What was that for witch!" Zeus cried, Nami giggled and said "cus I wanted to hit you that's why." Zeus grumbled something about her being stingy and something about her sister, Nami had an idea, she ran over to Robin and whispered in her ear, under Zeus gaze, Robin's eyes widened and she looked at Zeus, she gave him a look that made his spine shiver, he said "R-Robin what did she say?" Robin slowly crossed her arms and said "Something about you and her sister, you're quite the flirt huh?" Zeus' eyes were wide open and he shook his head like a rattle drum, as the other guys also shivered and slowly backed away, Zeus said "Hey um l-let's talk about this eh? It was one time, I-I won't do it again." Robin said "I know." as she fully crossed her arms and said "Clutch" as a hand sprouted from his leg and grabbed on top his balls and squeezed, Robin continued and said "I'll make sure of it" Zeus yelled and fell to the floor panting, he turned his head to see an apologetic Nami looking at him, he glared and hissed "I WILL get you back for this." Nami yelped and hid behind Robin and stuck her tongue out at him. Zeus cursed the shameless bitch 10000 times in his head and said "We're close to Cloud's End can someone unlock me now?" Robin walked over with the key and unlocked his cuffs, Zeus sat on the ground and rubbed his wrists as he said "You guys are real bastards you know that right?" they all just grinned and Zeus chuckled and stood up whispering something into Robin's ear making her face turn bright red, and smacked her ass sending a little current through his palm, making her whole body feel numb and walking towards the galley and said "I'm hungry!"
The Merry reached Cloud's End and fell off the edge before Conis whistled for a balloon like octopus, after the Merry landed back on the blue sea, the octopus flew away, and the crew set sail for their next island.
