Chapter 52: Chaos
"Wanna get out of here?" My lips curve into a smile at the familiar deep voice.
"Think they will notice?" I counter.
Rex wraps his arms around me. Slowly kissing my ear then my neck. I'm practically purring in his arms when he picks me up and starts for our room.
"Hey! The party isn't over yet!" Stella grumbles at us as I'm whisked away.
He sets me down gently on our bed before returning to lock the door behind him. I feel the ambience of the room shift. His body tenses when he turns to face me.
A low growl escapes his lips as he saunters my way. It isn't predatory, it's seductive.
"It's been too long since I've been inside that sweet heavenly crevice." Rex says, his eyes flickering from silver to black and back.
My mouth falls open at his dirty words but I quickly recover and bite my lower lip. I can feel my skin heating up as my body clenches in anticipation.
"How was your bachelor party?" I narrow my eyes at him.
His gaze doesn't falter as he kneels before me. He takes one foot into his hand and starts massaging it. I lay back on the bed and moan. My feet feel as swollen as my belly. His teeth graze the bottom of my foot and I stifle a giggle. He switches feet.
"Uneventful. The entire time I thought about coming home and burying myself in you." His eyes didn't leave mine as he bit softly into my arch.
"What did you do?" I say, my breathing shallow. A foolish attempt at hiding my arousal.
He takes a deep breath at my crotch. "You're so enticing Gin. Damn."
I can feel the fabric down there drenched already from his filthy words.
"You didn't answer my question."
A chuckle vibrates in his throat. "We actually went to a secluded cabin. Hunted. Fished. Didn't catch a thing."
I smile at that. He knows I am not in favor of needlessly harming animals. However, on the word 'thing' he moved the fabric at my crotch away and stuck a finger inside me.
"Fuck!" I arch my back involuntarily.
"Absolutely." He tears my dress and tosses it aside.
He carefully undoes my bra. Maybe he remembered all the times I cried because he tore my perfect maternity bra. It's difficult to find one that is actually comforting to my swollen chest. His other hand finds my nipple and flicks it with his thumb. I am so close to my release.
"Please!" I cry out.
When I feel his tongue lick where his finger had just been, I come spectacularly and see stars in my vision. Before my high can abate, he thrusts inside me. My body shakes as I cry out in pleasure. His lips press into mine; his rhythm is steady.
"I'm not going to break." I murmur against his lips.
His eyes meet mine and I can see the passion behind his shining silver eyes. "Let me just cherish you."
I can feel him stroking my breast with one hand while the other holds my face lovingly. Our eyes lock and I can't look away, even as I reach my peak. It's like I can see the depth of his soul. Tears of pure bliss escape my eyes and he finishes inside me.
He withdraws gentle then goes into the bathroom. I lay satiated smiling to myself on the bed. Then I feel it.
"Rex!" I screamed and he was immediately by my side. "My water broke."

I open my eyes to a pale room. Immediately I sit up and yank the IV from my arm. It stings but I didn't care.
"Ignis?" I yell and go to open the door but it is locked. "Ignis!"
I hear some commotion and then the door opens to an older woman in scrubs and a lab coat.
"Hi there, please sit." She gestures to the bed. "You are dehydrated and lacking nutrients."
"Where's Ignis?" I sit gingerly on the bed.
"He's here, safe and sound." She smiles but it doesn't quite reach her eyes.
"I don't mean to be rude, but can I verify what you're telling me?"
This time the smile is genuine. "Sure, after I get your IV hooked up."
I sit still while she pokes and prods. I wince at the needle piercing my skin and she gives me a sympathetic pat on the leg.
"Follow me and carefully bring the IV stand with you."
We walk out of the door into a hallway doused in blue. I look up to see what made them blue but her voice interrupts my thoughts.
"It's currently night time. Plus UV-C light kills germs." Her eyes crinkle at the corners when she smiles.
Something about her reminds me of my mother. My heart clenches at the thought.
"You cannot go into his room at the moment, but you can see him through this window."
I peak through the window and see him covered in bandage. An IV similar to mine connected to his arm. His bags are a different color.
"Why are his fluids a different color?" I ask.
"Werewolf versus human." She shrugs looking down at me. "Helps the interns."
I laugh. "Was that a joke?"
"Yes."
I realize he's still unconscious. "Wait, what's wrong with him?"
"Hard to say. I'm stunned you made it through the barrier. He could as a pack member, but you as a human...should have been impossible." She touches her cheek thoughtfully while crossing one arm over her body.
"I'm sorry, but I'm confused about this whole life." I gesture around to everything.
"You must be his mate." She says ignoring my previous statement.
"Hello? Earth to doctor lady. Can you tell me where I am and who are you people? I mean werewolves."
"You're on the pack lands of Clan Argenteus Solis or the Silver Sun pack."
"Should that mean something to me?"
"I forgot you're a human." She literally face palms. "We are-"
I didn't find out because her eyes glaze over.
"Are you okay?"
"No, we're under attack." She shakes her head. "Come with me to shelter."
"What about Ignis?" She grabs my arm and IV with surprising strength.
"He will join us soon." I glance back to see nurses pulling his bed out of the room with his IV line in tow.
"Wait, what do you mean you're under attack?" Cold sweat oozes out of ever pore in my body.
"Someone is trying to -" the doors burst open and a tall handsome man carrying a very pregnant woman enters. His presence is overwhelming and he radiates concern.
"Her water broke, she's going into labor!"
"Put me down I can walk you-" she stifles a scream behind her beautiful medium pink lips.
"Give her to me." The doctor carries her with ease.
"I'll be back." The man growls then kisses the woman passionately before leaving the hospital in a hurry.
I lost sight of Ignis in the chaos. "Where are we going?"
"To the bunker."
"Like hell I am." The pregnant woman says in a measured tone.
"Alpha, you are literally about to give birth."
"Then hurry it up so I can fight." She snaps.
My mouth drops open. "You'll need rest after giving birth."
"No one asked you...girl." She says clenching her jaw and grabbing a fistful of the doctors clothes.
"My name is Carmen." I snap back.
"Well, Carmen I am the Alpha and I'd appreciate it if you kept your mouth shut."
