Chapter 35: Preparation
*Aqua, meet in my office ASAP.*
*You are the worst.*
A few minutes later Aqua comes bursting through the door.
"What the fu-I mean, oh hey everyone." She notices Niveus and Aether in chairs around the room. Her eyes narrow in me and she hisses, "I was a little busy when you interrupted."
"Gross!" Niveus and Aether say together, understanding her lewd reference.
"How can I help you, Alpha?" Her glare turned toward the kids and they looked everywhere but her.
"Ignis was taken." I say leaning forward in my chair. "I need you and a team I've assembled to find him."
"What? How did it happen?"
"I'm not sure but he didn't make contact through the link. I think it could be the band of misfits again." I say clasping my hands tightly together as my elbows rest on my desk.
She nods from across the room, "I'm on it."
"Be careful." I say giving her a pointed look.
"Yeah, yeah, I will." Aqua gives me a small smile then leaves the room.
"You two go get ready for dinner. I'm going to talk to Alpha Rex about our plan." I get up and pace behind my desk.
"Talk." Aether snickers.
"Real mature." Niveus says and leaves the room. Aether trails closely behind her. I catch him playfully reach for the tip of her hair. It slips between his fingers and goes unnoticed by her.
*I need your help.* I reach for Rex.
*Be right there.*
Within 30 second Rex burst through the door. "What's wrong?" He closes the space between us and pulls me into his arms. "You're anxious and worried, but also excited?"
"Two things." I say muffled in his chest. "Ignis is gone. I can't reach him through our link."
Rex stiffens for a moment before relaxing and holding me tighter. I could sense his worry.
"What's the second?" He whispers.
"I think I know how to find the elementals." At this Rex pulls back a little to look down at my face.
I look up into his bright silver eyes. "How?"
"Well, we've got two of the five. Aether and Niveus." He nods at my stream of consciousness. "They both have very distinct birthmarks that show what element they are."
"Wait, how - no, what is the birthmark for space?"
"A star." I smile at him.
"Cool. And air?"
"Well I haven't seen it." He eyes me suspiciously. "Apparently it's on his bottom. But it's squiggly lines like wind."
He laughs. "So what are you going to do with this information?"
"Ask the clans to present people with birthmarks to us."
Rex sits down and pulls me along with him in a tight embrace.
"They won't agree." He says finally.
"What if I share it's apart of a prophesy?"
"Some might, but all won't." He rubs my lower back in thought.
"What if I share the prophesy..." My mind was piecing together my thoughts faster than I could put words to them. "Then offer something... like if we find who we are looking for in a pack, we offer them an alliance or land or something?"
"I like the idea, start with an alliance and we can negotiate other particulars when we deal with the packs one on one." Rex says confidently.
"Good idea, Alpha." I smile.
"Right back at you, Alpha." He kisses my lips softly.
"Oh! I forgot to mention I sent Aqua and a team to find Ignis. They left already." I hop out of his lap and narrowly miss his hand. It was outstretched in an attempt to pull me back.
"Why now?" Rex growled, clearly angry.
"He's my Beta. I need his support in the tournament." Rex gets up from his chair.
We circle around the room, I avoid his contact. He is stalking me like prey. His eyes flicker black.
"Why would you need him, when you have me?"
"You know he's a great strategist." I say, putting my desk between our bodies.
"So is Petram." Rex puts his hands on the desk.
"He's your new Beta." I say, leaning back against the bookcase.
"Our Beta." He corrects.
"Just like Ignis is our Beta." I say, tilting my head. Check and mate.
He pushes the desk toward me. Not hard but enough to pin me where I stand. In my surprise, I don't move and allow myself to be lightly stuck.
Rex reaches out and pulls me out from behind the desk. He presses me against his body. His lips find mine, insistent for our tongues to meet. When I open my mouth to allow entry he growls. He grabs a fistful of my hair and deepens our kiss. My arms wrap around his neck. Instantly I feel my core clench.
"Baby, your scent is so enticing." Rex says moving his hands to roam my body.
"Thanks?" I laugh.
"It's the most wild I've been since we've met. I can barely keep Nocte at bay." His arms flex around me.
"Really?" I smile, somewhat amused.
He kneels on the carpet and inhales at my pelvis. At first, I feel embarrassed but then I realize it turns me on.
His hand goes up my dress and stops mid thigh. "Goddess. You're dripping!"
"Thanks Captain Obvious." I roll my eyes then yelp as a finger finds its way to my lips.
He rubs them gently through the fabric of my thong and I moan loudly.
Rex searches my face, observing my response. His eyes flicker, black to silver, back and forth repeatedly.
*We need him!* Praesul whines, vying for control as well.
He rips my clothes off. I rip his clothes off. All of a sudden, I'm on top of the desk, my legs spread wide, and he's shoving himself inside me. On contact I scream in ecstasy.
He growls and thrusts inside me with a passion I've never felt before. It's like being deep inside me isn't good enough.

*Don't finish, you've just started.* Nocte lectures.
*What is happening?* I ask him. *Why is this so intense.*
*I don't know. Maybe because she was in heat?*
I keep thrusting. Her cries of pleasure echo in the office. I watch as her breasts bounce up and down. Taking one into my hand, I pinch her nipple softly. She tosses her head back. I feel her clench firmly around me and then she's gushing.
*Fuck I can't.* I think to Nocte before exploding inside her. I continue to pulse and cum longer than I ever have before.
She lays down flat on the desk. I'm still hard inside her. After finishing that spectacularly, I'm shocked by my physical response.
"Rex?" She breathes, clearly winded.
*I'm not done with her.* Nocte grows, taking over.
We pull her hips to the edge of the desk. Her eyes widen in surprise.
"Nocte?" His name from her lips sends him into a frenzy.
I sit back and watch as he pleases our mate. Only interjecting when he's biting or sucking our mate too hard. I don't like when he leaves marks on her soft, tanned skin.
As she's finishing, we pull out to watch as she squirts. When she stops, we are inside again moving slowly yet pressing hard upon each entry.
"Alpha, please."
We were already so close. Hearing our name sends us over the edge. We're spilling ourselves inside her. Every last drop.
This time I take back control and pull out. I've never been able to go back to back like that before.
"I'm tingling." She says and she pulls a big shirt from a drawer in her desk.
Scrounging around in her other drawers, she throws me a pair of my shorts.
"You come prepared." I say dryly.
"Well, with you around accosting me at every turn." She laughs and it's like music to my ears. "I've got to stay prepared. Enough pack members have seen us in less."
