Chapter 7: Man of swamp
In a swamp, not far from Louisiana, there is a myth about a man called Dustin, who once was the greatest alligator hunter, but nobody knew about this, since he was always hidden from the world and nobody knows anything about him. The myth says that, if someone dares to hunt an alligator, on his swamp, his soul would start to came back to earth and hunt that hunter who dared to stole his alligators. His area, it is at about one hundred meters square, and the entire area it is the swamp, and his house it is just a rusty house filled with spider webs, wood about to collapse at any time and some broken windows, because of some weird kids who are most likely dead because of the thing they did.

Leon and his best friend, David, having a bad day on their property as an alligator hunter, they decided to go on another area, and try their luck by hunting. Their place has lost a ton of alligators due to their excessive hunting, and also, because of other alligator hunters who doesn't know other people boundaries. David knew about the curse of that place, but Leon told him that this thing it is only a myth to scare people and do not hunt on that area, he also said that: "Curses do not exist in America!".
These two are going to that place, even though David didn't want to go there, and he is felling terrified, he has to since he needs the money to buy needed medicine for his grandmother, who is already on the bed and about ot die at any moment from pneumonia. These two have gotten there with the help of their boat by crossing a few meters down the river. But they will not do the method to throw meat around this place, they will risk it by putting sheep meat on their hands, and down the water to attract alligators. Sounds crazy, but that is how alligators gets hunted and used as a clothing accessory.
Leon and David have gotten their first alligator on this area at approximately three minutes when they arrived. It is a big boy, who looked like a male, and had approximately 200 kilos, which means a lot of money into this hunting business. With this kind of meat and alligator, David would be able to pay only 50% of his grandmother fees at the Hospital. They do try again, and they hunt another one, but this one was 180 kilos, but still, it is a big one.
A few minutes passed, three alligators have been successfully been caught, two small and one big.They do have a total of five alligators, enough to pay hospital bill and having some money which would most likely be used on ammo or on dark days.
They were about to leave this area, but when they were at a few inches, their boat motors has suddenly stopped, letting these two men on the boat, in the middle of the ocean. David felt frighten by this, but Leon, was curious why does this boat stopped suddenly. He said to himself. "I swear I have refueled when we got onto the water.". Leon opens the engine of his motor-boat and checked to see if everything it is alright.
David looked around him to be sure nobody is there. He feels terrified being with his best friend in the middle of a swap, which it is said to be haunted by an alligator hunter spirit. He was holding his sawed off shotgun, the gun who was given to him by his uncle when he was only fifteen years old, and trembling like outside was a cold temperature, but it is only 30 Celsius grade outside. Then, when he looks behind him to see what does Leon is doing, he got one of the most scaring surprise he was ever witnessing.
He saw his best friend, having his entire head opened up in to pieces like a watermelon. He could see his brain being ripped apart, his eyes on the boat, very close to alligators mouth and the rest of the face, being ripped in the half. David screamed and aimed his shotgun around, to shoot those two shells at a random places. But before he was about to reload, something appeared at three meters from him, a hat made from alligator skin, fell into the swamp.
He looks at the hat frightened, and before he could be prepared to reload a ghost ascended from the ocean, at the same place where the hat was put. The hat was staying on the ghost head, and he looked angrily at David, who made him drop his shotgun into the boat and rising his hands, and pleading for mercy.
The ghost of alligator Hunter didn't want to herd his apology, he told him that he wanted to return these alligators, and he would be able to live, since he wasn't the one who had this idea, but he warns him that if it doesn't return the alligators he would be immediately killed, right into this place. The ghost summoned a carbine from 1917 he used to hunt alligators and ducks when he was alive and aimed to David.
Now David, has been put on a really hard choice. If he leaves this place with alligators, he will probably escape this ghost fury and sell these alligators to get enough money to pay his grandmother Hospital bill. But if he returns these alligators, he would be able to live, but he would see his grandmother die. Now, David is looking at the ghost, and he asks if he can keep at least one alligator, but the ghost refused David negotiations. Also, the ghost had an idea. He asked if he would be able to sell his future child son, only to let her grandmother live for another eight years, but David refused this offer, which made this ghost furious and threaten David that he would kill him and send him into Hell if he doesn't put these alligators back into the water.
David put those five alligators there, which made the ghost feeling good, but he felt amazing when the ghost used his carbine to shot David left arm off. His left arm fell into the boat, he painfully screams while the ghost of this area, says with a drunk man voice.
"A small price for hunting."
Then it disappears, letting David alone, by himself, bleeding a lot of blood into the boat of his friend, who was cut a few moments earlier by this ghost who didn't listen to the warning the locals gave to them. David has escaped at a cheap price, not like the others hunters who escaped with a much higher price than David. Some have lost dear people, money, houses, jobs and even their own life, by adventuring into a ghost terrain.
