"It's cold out here on the deck," XueYa said as he followed LiangLin over the main deck like a lost puppy wagging its tail at its owner, waiting for a pat, a kiss, maybe a permission to hump his leg - anything.

But LiangLin's pout persisted, his brows knitted into a bundle.

"Let's get inside and keep warm together-"

The door to the Captain's Cabin closed in XueYa's face with a slam, the flaking wood missing his nose by an inch. XueYa's cheeks flushed as the surrounding crewmates averted their gaze, each busying themselves with a task. No one dared show interest in their Captain's romantic life - or the lack of it.

XueYa tried the handle, but the snake god had locked the door from the other side. Ah, LiangLin was still mad at him? His beloved didn't really think of letting him sleep out in the open, did he?

"My love?" XueYa scraped at the wood with his nails like a wounded animal. "I apologized for leaving you behind. Please let me inside."
