He's Back

'Hello Cousin' the red ink spelt out, revealing a red snake like pattern stamped onto the side.

"Misstress issss baaack." the snake spoke to the journal as a gust of wind blew over, causing the pages to flip. Stella's blood went cold once she locked eyes with a dashing young man in the journal who smirked at her, holding his hand out. It was as if she lost control of her entire body, her arms felt weak and within her eyes, all she saw was a pair of deep yellow eyes that drew her in.

"Time to open." a mysterious male's voice echoed inside her mind. "Come with me….come with me…."

"Lla...Ella...STELLA!" a voice snapped the young girl back to reality, causing her to drop the book on her lap with a soft thump. Draco's grey eyes came into vision as she focused on what was happening. Stella felt like she was trapped in a long daydream that she couldn't snap out of, everything seemed to go by so fast as she saw visions of a long corridor and a murky picture of a flooded bathroom.

"Where'd you run off to mid practice? Pucey said he had stuff to do, so I'll take you to supper." Draco commented, looking up at the beautiful red and orange sky.

"Malfoy, did you see all that?" she questioned, still thinking about the male in her vision. "Did you see him?"

"Which boy caught your eye this time?" Malfoy rolled his eyes, leading his fellow Slytherin out of the Quidditch field and into the Great Hall which was serving early dinner. Stella flipped through the tattered journal, wanting to show Draco who she was talking about, but the entire book was empty. "Are you taking hand-me downs like the Weasleys now?"

"No, Malfoy, listen. There was a guy in here and I think he was talking to me. There was a snake too, it was saying Welcome Home and to come with him." she tried explaining, flipping through the pages to find proof of what she was saying.

"Stella, have you gone mad? There was no snake and there's obviously nothing in that stupid journal of yours. Just throw it away, I'll ask father to get you a new one if you want." Draco snatched the book out of her hand and tossed it into the rubbish bin, wiping his hands on his cloak as if he touched something unbearably gross.

"Malfoy!" she yelled as the male dragged her into the dining hall filled with students. Her eyes trailed after as her housemate pulled her away, watching as the bin disappeared from her line of sight.

"Draco." he corrected, sitting her down onto the long dining table.

"Crabbe. Goyle." Malfoy acknowledged, taking a seat next to his two underlings who were busy scarfing down cream puffs.

"Malfoy, I haven't gone mad. I'm telling you, that guy was there. He had beautiful jet black hair and eyes, kind of tall. He was absolutely handsome!" Stella tried to explain herself, not understanding what was happening.

'Shhhh, don't tell him.' a soft voice whispered inside her head in a snake like language. 'Thanksss for the compliment.'

"I've had it with you Gaunt. You go and sleep around with my team members, you get chummy with the stupid coffee boy and now you come talking about a handsome guy you were daydreaming about?!" Draco yelled out in anger, glaring at the female who froze with her eyes open. The entire dining hall went silent from his sudden outburst, eyes turned as they landed onto the two slytherins who caused the commotion.

"Malfoy…?" Stella questioned, getting double stunned from the voice in her head and the boy who looked at her angrily. 'Perhaps I slept with a few from uni....but not here...' the young girl thought to herself.

"Draco." he repeated himself sternly, his grey eyes boring into hers. "WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT." his eyes shifted to the crowd of students who looked at him curiously. A certain redhead stood up from his spot and walked over, feeling as he needed to protect the girl that was being yelled at.

"Ron, what are you doing…" Hermione whispered to her friend, trying to pull him back.

"I don't appreciate you talking about her like that." Ron stuttered out, trying to sound strong but still shaking as the Slytherin's eyes locked onto him.

"What?" Draco questioned, scrunching his nose.

"You'll tarnish her reputation…" Ron whispered, referring to when Draco yelled that Stella was sleeping around with different men. Stella quickly got up and held onto Ron's arm, shaking her head as if telling him to just back down and walk away.

"Let go of him." Draco commanded, looking upwards at the two in front of him.

"Malfoy, you don't tell me what to do." she hissed, gently pushing Ron in the direction of his own House. "Ron, it's fine." she whispered, nudging him even harder.

"Stella Gaunt, do you hear me? I said, Let. Him. Go." the Slytherin repeated himself louder this time, causing both Hermione and Harry to walk over to defend their friend.

"What has gotten into you?" Stella questioned, placing a hand in front of the Gryffindors who stalked over angrily. "Take Ron." she whispered to Hermione, letting go of the male next to her. Hermione and Harry dragged their redheaded friend away from the Slytherin table and out of the dining hall despite his resistance. Stella sat back down and hissed at her housemates who looked between her and the Malfoy.

"Can I have that?" Crabbe questioned, pointing to the cream puff on her plate. Stella looked at it before smiling to herself, a wicked idea popped inside of her.

"As a matter of fact, No." she smiled, taking the cream puff and waving it in her hands before chucking it at the Malfoy who was still glaring at the disappearing trio. A loud smack caused everyone nearby to glance over, noticing whip cream custard all over a young platinum haired male and his robes.

"Oh now you've done it Gaunt." Draco hissed out in anger, reaching over the table and clawing at the female's blouse. Grey eyes met emerald ones as they smirked at each other, ready to attack another if needed. Draco used his free hand to wipe away the choux cream from his eyebrow and smothered it onto the female's cheek. Looking at the female up close, he couldn't help but notice how her facial features outlined itself so perfectly, from her dark black hair to her plump red lips.

"Do...you have any idea...how long it took me to do my makeup this morning?" Stella growled, fisting the male's collar and snarling at him.

"You look ugly anyways. With or without makeup." he retorted. The entire scene caused the Slytherin table to try and pry the two apart. They looked like little kids throwing a food fight and bickering over something stupid.

"Enough you two. Up up. Go clean yourselves." Gemma Farley, the Slytherin Prefect exclaimed as she pried the two children apart. "Stop disgracing our House." she sighed, pushing the two youngsters out of the Great Hall.

The two walked back to the Dungeons together, eyes narrowing at each other every time they took a glance at the other. 'Left' a voice called out, causing the Gaunt to take a left turn without her body realizing it.

"Where you going?" Draco called out, jogging up to her as he followed closely behind.

'Right' it commanded once again, making Stella pivot right suddenly.

"Hey! Stel….la." Draco's voice faltered as he saw what laid before his very eyes. A young boy with a camera in his hands laid petrified with a bloody inscription on the wall 'The Heir Has Returned to Open the Chamber of Secrets'

"Stel, let's get out of here." Draco whispered, grasping onto her hand and pulling her back into reality. "Come on." he urged, tugging at her hand gently. Stella looked down in shock, remembering the young boy as the kid who she took a book from and tossed to the side.

"It's him…" she whispered.

"Him? Who?" Draco questioned, pulling at her hand to make her walk.

"That's the kid I bullied the other day." Stella remarked, letting Draco drag her along until they arrived back at the dungeons.

"You've been acting really strange today. Not that you haven't been stranger." he muttered, leading her up to her room as she seemed like she couldn't walk on her own.

"Draco." Stella started, pulling him into her room and closing the door behind her.

"Are you trying to shag me too?" He questioned, taking a seat on her vanity.

"What exactly is the Chamber of Secrets?" She asked, waving her wand in the air as a basin of water and a towel appeared on top of her table. Taking the towel she dipped it into water to soak it before dabbing at her sticky face.

"Why are you asking about that?" Draco questioned back, dunking his entire head in the basin, seeing all the cream ooze out of his gelled hair.

"Heir to Slytherin, Chamber of Secrets… who's the heir? Is it Harry Potter?" She questioned further, trying to remember what she had read from the books. Helping the male wash his hair in the basin, she rubbed at it harshly as she tried to recollect how the story had gone. However with each passing day she stayed at Hogwarts, her memories drifted into the far distance as she slowly stopped remembering things from her real life. Draco patted her hand quickly, gurgling the dirty water as he lacked oxygen. Stella quickly let go and grabbed a dry towel to cover his wet hair.

"Are you trying to murder me?" He hissed, snatching the towel from her hands and ruffling his hair. "I don't know who it is, all I know is that the Chamber of Secrets opened when my father was at school and when it did. A mudblood died."

Stella looked at the male whose hair was all disheveled and no longer greased back. If she hadn't seen anyone handsomer before, Draco would've been the first, with his hair framing his face and his grey eyes peeking out at her. Draco stood up and tilted the girl's chin to look at him as he rubbed at her dirty cheek.

'Out...kick him out.'

"Malfoy, get out of my room." Stella grumbled, tilting her head away from the male's touch.

"You're the one that dragged me in here." He countered, turning to face the door. "Reeks of sex in here anyways."

"Excuse me?!" Stella snapped. "I haven't even slept with anyone before! Sex?! Maybe you've been bringing your girlies in my room and blaming it on me!" Stella knew she made absolutely no sense with what she just said but at least it came out strong.

"You…..you're a virgin?"

"Out of my room now!" She yelled, holding her wand out and with a flick the door swung open. "OUT!" Draco grinned to himself as he walked out of her room, closing her door with a soft click.

'Book….book….'

Feeling a sense of urgency, Stella dug through her school bag and poured out the contents. Suddenly a familiar looking journal, the exact one that Draco tossed in the rubbish bin, dropped out of her rucksack with a soft flwoomp. She quickly opened it and saw the same familiar pictures as she did earlier.

'Hello Stella' the beautiful calligraphy etched alongside the picture of the young male as he smiled at her.

"Who are you?" Stella questioned.

'My name's Tom.' It wrote back as the journal flipped to another page. 'Tom Riddle'

"Riddle is a funny last name." Stella laughed, seeing a picture of the same man flashing her a ring that was gold with an inset of a black stone. "How do you know me?" She questioned, grazing her finger over the picture.

'We're family. More than family. Surprised you don't know of me.' He wrote back.

"Family?"

'My dearest Stella. What are the Gaunt family known for?' Tom Riddle questioned.

Stella thought long and hard about what the meaning behind his words were. She remembered that the Gaunt family was the most prestigious line of family known to Slytherin households. They were ruthless and kept the pure blood lineage passing on throughout many generations.

"Parselmouth….?" She questioned as they were the only family she knew of that could speak Parseltongue aside from Harry Potter, Lord Voldemort and Salazar Slytherin.

'True.' Tom Riddled agreed before flipping to another page that had an outline of a tree. Names slowly revealed itself onto the page as it laid out the Gaunt family lineage. 'What do these have in common?'

"All the last names are Gaunt?" She squinted her eyes to look at a few names that didn't bear the Gaunt last name. "Except here. Here. And here."

'And what does that tell you?' He questioned further.

"How the hell am I supposed to know?" Stella exasperated, slapping her forehead from all the repetitive names she saw.

'The Gaunt family inbreeds to retain the Pure Blood lineage.'

Stella looked over at the family tree, noting that there was a line next to her name that connected it with a person named Tom Morvolo Riddle. She was shocked to see that the numbers next to the male's name were dated back till 1950-1981 and even more appalled to see the dates floating around her name.

"1968-1979? 1980 to... Interesting…" she whispered, brushing her finger against the olden pages.

"Indeed my love...Indeed."
