Chapter 337: Promise kept

I feel him shuffle against me on the bed.

He is waking up.

I sit up on the bed as he moves slowly. My eyes stay fixed on his beautiful face. His cheeks are flushed red. There are dark circles under his eyes, even though he just woke up. I get that this has been trying times for all of us. It just seems like we jump into a new problem after getting off one. I just want things to calm down and it seems like they are finally getting tit gat place.

His eyes open slowly and he furrows them, probably trying to register where he is. The last time he was conscious, we were outside searching for Levine. He was the most worried out of the three of us.

"Hey,'' I reach for him gently. His eyes shift to me and I see the ease in his expression as he registers who I am. The confused look on his face wipes out.

"Where's Blue?'' he asks.
