"Young miss, we are home," the driver announced as she opened the door of the car. She smiled before she went inside the house.
"Thank you, uncle!" She thanked the driver before entering.
The driver can only shook his head and smile. He then drove the car to the garage.
"Mother, Father, I'm home!" She announced before she took her shoes off. Some maids helped her get in her home slippers and she thanked them.
"The madam and master are in the living room, young miss," Chelsea, her personal maid told her. She then walked past through some hallways with different paintings showing her growth. From a baby to her present self. Some were showing her playing the piano, while others showed her playing in her tree house. All of those paintings are signs of happiness, and the people in the mansion wants nothing more than to see their young miss smile.
"Chelsea, how are the donations going?" She asked as the maid opened the tablet she was holding.
"Donations are coming until now, young miss. Your advertisement last week was a success. Many donated and hoped to have a partnership with you in regards of the orphanages," Chelsea answered professionally.
She just nodded then opened a door, the door to the living room.
"Sweetie, you're home. Are you going to the orphanages later?" Her mother asked as she sipped a bit from her favorite coffee. Her father is doing the same thing. Drinking coffee.
Sundays are her parents' days off from work, and they spend it by talking with each other over coffee. However, her schedule is a bit different from theirs. She first goes to church early in the morning, then eats her breakfast at home, went to buy some supplies, then to the orphanages. She spents half of her Sunday in the chosen orphanage and the other half with her friends and family.
"Yup. Do you need me to buy anything, Mother? I'll be going shopping before lunch," she told her mother as she sat between her parents. Her father messed her hair up and she giggled while she fixed it.
"We'll have the maids buy those, sweetie. You go to the orphanages and don't mind us, okay? Go enjoy your Sunday," her father sweetly said as she hugged her lovable father.
"Mother, won't you and father go with me to visit the children? I feel quite lonely even though I am surrounded with people," she sadly said that made her father's heart feel pinched. He don't want to see his precious daughter sad.
"What a wonderful scene," the three cuddling people in the living room all turned their heads to the door, where a small boy was yawning.
"Caligo, sweetie. Come here. Were enjoying this coffee here and just talked with your older sister. What if you come with her to the orphanages? Won't that be great?" The mother immediately tried to make the boy belong to their conversation. This son of hers is somewhat anti social. He hates the spotlight and loves to be alone. It's only during this occasion that he'll leave his room.
"You do know how I hate children, mother. Why do you keep pestering me to come with sister to those crowded places? It seems that it's a mistake to go out of my room. I'll be going back now," Caligo said seriously but with respect to his mother. He yawned once more and tried to go back but his sister stopped him.
"Come on, Cal. It's going to be fun, I promise. And, I really missed hanging out with you. You just suddenly distanced yourself from us. We're family, Cal. Come on," she said as she tried to hold Caligo's hand, but he immediately avoided her.
"I grew up, sister. And I know that not everything in this world is bright. There's also darkness. And I'm not like everyone in this mansion that avoids the darkness, because I embraced it," Cal said before shutting the door to the living room.
"Please forgive the young master for his actions, young miss. He is still young. He does not know what he is saying. He'll know it someday," Chelsea instantly went to her miss to tell her not to worry.
"I know, Chelsea. Cal still needs time. And besides, he's still ten. He'll know it when he's in high school," she carelessly said that made Chelsea and her parents sigh in relief.
"Well, Mother, Father, enjoy your Sunday. I'll be going now," she said then hugged her parents before leaving. Chelsea followed her and opened the door of the car for her, which she thanked.
"Let's fetch Rhy, Kora and Nix first, uncle. They'll be going with me to the orphanages," she said as the driver drove out of the Briller Residence.
"Yes, young miss," the driver answered as he sped up the car on the way to the residences of the various young misses that they'll fetch.
First one is Kora. She wore a simple red dress as she waited at her house's front door.
"Should we really fetch Rhy, Veta? I mean, she's probably with some business partners right now. Many really wants to have a partnership with you for the charity cases, and she's handling them all today," Kora said as she walked in the car.
"I think we should, Kora. She can handle them later in the afternoon. And besides, she called me earlier about fetching her. She said that you might have some thoughts about leaving her, so she told that to me in advance," Veta smiled innocently as Kora smiled awkwardly.
'Geez, Rhy is getting smarter by the minute.'
Next up is Nix. She just yawned after she got in the car and leaned on the window, obvious that she lacked sleep. The car ride was full of her snores. Veta and Kora just left her alone so she could rest.
And Rhy came last, because she lives the farthest from the Briller Residence.
"Good morning girls! Hey, Veta, I'm thinking about bringing some donator to the orphanages with us. Is that alright? They donated plenty last week. They also wanted to play with the kids," Rhy energetically said as she hopped onto the car, which disturbed Nix's slumber as she panicked and looked left and right to look for the one who disturbed her.
Seeing that it's only Rhy, she got back to her sleep by the car window.
"That'll be great, Rhy. Where are they? Does they know where we'll be going?" Veta asked happily.
"Yup. They'll be there. Come on. Let's go to the orphanages. And here's a free tip, Veta. You might see your Escort there," Rhy said mischievously as she turned her head to Kora and let her tongue out.
