"It's warm in here," Dana said, looking around impatiently. "You want to go for a walk outside? The hotel has a courtyard, protected from the wind."

"Sure." Beau knew it was a bad idea, even as his lips formed the word. But before he could take it back, he'd stood and held out an arm. She slipped her hand into it as naturally as if they were long-term acquaintances. "Do you need a wrap?" It was February and though there was no snow, the air was still very cool.

Her chuckle was a deep throaty rumble. "No. Dragons are pretty much self-heating."

Beau just bet they were. She was doing a damn fine job of heating him up as well.

Ten minutes later, he knew he was toast. Beau nudged the hotel room door closed with one foot. His hands were busy finding the zipper on Dana's green silk gown. "This is a very bad idea."

"Horrible," she agreed. She pushed the tuxedo jacket off his broad shoulders and started working on shirt studs. "Possibly the worst I've ever had."
