Chapter 8: Making A New Friend
Chapter 8
Lunging forward, I punched him in his side, he didn't even flinch, he felt like a rock.
Shane pulled back, smirking, "Not there, man." He punched me in the ribs, crap, his punches are so hard.
Shane smirked, "I told you, I'm going to become your new Captain."
I growled, "Don't get so cocky, Davis."
Shane smirk widened, "Then give me a reason not to."----Pause----
Shane's description: Dirty-blond, tall (6'3), well-muscled, blue-green eyes, and slightly tanned skin.
William's description: Dark-brown hair, very tall (6'5), also well-muscled, light-brown eyes, and pale-ish skin.----Un-pause----
I punched his arm, then I punched his pec, he flinched a little, my eyes widened, I found his weak spot, duck, duck, punch.
That went on for a while until I was able to gain some footing in the match.
I punched his chest until he, slightly lost his footing, I hooked my foot under his heel and pulled, he toppled down onto the ground, landing on his back with a thud.
Shane sat up with his mouth hanging open, "How- what just happened?"
I gasped out, a little out of breath, "I just...defeated you."
Shane glared, "And so you did."
I caught my breath, "That's what you get for being so cocky, Davis." I offered him a hand up, and this time I pulled back too, so I wouldn't fall into his lap.
Shane sighed, "Yeah, yeah, you won," he stuck his hand out for a shake, "Can I join your club?"
I looked up at him, shaking his hand, "Sure."
Mark walked up to us, clapping me on the back, "Hey, man, great job, knew you could do it."
I smiled, "Thanks, man."
I looked over my shoulder at William and he nodded at me, I waved at him, he waved back.
Mark was saying, "This calls for a celebration, why don't we go get some food, together?" he turned toward William, "Hey, man, wanna go get food with us?"
William shrugged, "Sure."
I smiled, "Give me a sec, I need to tell my...uhh roommate that I won't be back for a while."
I walked out of the room, scrolling through my contacts, I clicked on Adam's name, ring ring.
Adam picked up, "Hi, Avery, need a ride?"
I said, "No, actually, I'm going out with my friends for dinner, if that's okay with you."
Adam squealed, "Finally, you have friends, it's fine besides I have friends over at our place. Have fun. Bye, Avery."
I smiled, "By-, "click.
He hung up.
------------------------Dinner-----------------------
We went to a Pizza place, and Shane came with us, it was delicious, we ate at least 7 pizzas, the whole time I was squished between William and Shane. It wasn't very comfortable, being squished between two big guys with thighs as big as your waist.
Mark paid for dinner saying, "It was my idea, anyway."
----------------------After Dinner--------------------
I rode back with William.

I got off of the motorcycle, "Bye, William. Have a nice night."
He nodded, "Bye, Adam. You too."
He took off.
I walked over to the apartment door, I unlocked it and went inside, I froze there were, like, five girls on the couch, "Uhh, hello?"
Adam and the girls turned toward me.
One of them said, "Avery, I didn't know you had a brother, is he your twin, you two look so much alike."
Adam smiled, "He is my twin brother, right Adam?"
I nodded, "Yeah, I'm his twin alright, he-he-he. I'm just going to go to sleep. Good night, ladies."
The girls giggled, "Aww, he's so nice."
I closed the door to my bedroom, sigh, I looked at my alarm clock, 6:58, it was almost seven. I grabbed my clothes.
I walked back out, about to ask Adam if he got the pads, then remembering, there were other people here, crap, sigh, whatever, I walked to the bathroom and opened the drawers, I saw the pads right away, oh thank God.
Wait, how am I going to use these at school? Wouldn't it be suspicious if people heard me opening these? Will I have to use toilet paper for the next 3 and a half years? Sigh.
---------------------After Shower--------------------
I walked back out, quickly walking to my room, I closed the door. I looked at the clock, 7:27, sigh, it's still early, maybe I'll text Mark.
Texting:
Me: Hey, Mark, its Adam
Mark: Hey, Adam
Me: I'm bored, what u doing?
Mark: Nothing much, just laying in bed, u?
Me: Thinking about reading, can u recommend any books?
Mark: To Kill A Mockingbird?
Me: Already read it
Mark: The Bane Chronicles? Divergent? City of Bones?
Me: Sigh, I've already read all of those
Mark: You like them?
Me: I loved them
Mark: We seem to have the same taste in books
Me: Yeah, u have great tastes by the way
Mark: Thx, u too
Me: Thx
Mark: Hey, Adam, why does ur name say Avery?
Not texting:
I look down at it, crap, it does, I quickly changed it.
Texting:
Me: Oh, that my sister was just messing with my phone and put her name there.
Mark: Huh, okay, wait u have a sister?
Me: Yeah, her name is Avery
Mark: Huh, didn't know that, well it's getting late so we should be getting to sleep, good night
Me: Night, Mark
Not texting:
I looked at the time, 9:47, wow, how did that happen? Meh, sleep time I guess.
And thus, ended my day.
