"I turned my back for one moment." Ghola shook, hands covering her face with trembling fingers. "She was thirsty."

I stood, heart pounding but forcing calm despite the mist and Chaos and the desperate worry in my heart. We'd found Delilah in Egypt last time, and it ended well. So panic wasn't going to help right now. Though I had to admit to myself, there was only one explanation behind Delilah's ability to vanish on short notice.
