Chapter 35: Chapter 35: Section 4 - Magical Creatures

All creatures, both big and small, have an innate level of magic. However, the beings and beasts of Faerie almost always have far more magic than people and creatures of our mundane world. To adequately strengthen the spells cast with it, every wand must have within its core something taken from the body of one of these magical creatures. For example, a wand's core might contain a hair, a small feather, or a tiny shard of tooth, talon, claw, or scale. This book covers the majority of the most important magical beings and beasts when it comes to wand making.

Each magic wand must contain a magical core containing something that was once a small part of a highly magical creature. These magical creatures can be either magical beings, who have a form and intelligence similar to humans, or magical beasts, which do not. For example, the core of a wand could contain the hairs of a succubus (being) or a sliver made from a scale or claw of a dragon (beast).
