Chapter 3: Chakra
Walking down the dining hall, I found my father sitting on a chair and reading 'The Devil's Daily' newspaper while my mother was serving the food. Unlike many pureblood devil women, my mother prefers doing the basic housewife jobs herself rather than letting the maids do it for her.
Once, I enter the hall my mother notices me and says with a happy smile. "Good Morning Shisui, did you rest well?"
"Yes mother, I had a proper rest." I said taking a seat and greeting my father. "Good Morning father."
My father folded the newspaper and said, "Good Morning son and Happy Birthday."
"Thank you, father. Is there going to be an event tonight?"
"Yes, there will be. I have invited quite a few famous devils, so I want you to be in your best behavior, alright?" He said in a stern voice.
"Now now, don't be so strict, dear. Our son is always in his best behavior." My mother said serving food in my plate. "I made your favorite pie Shisui, hope you like it. And Happy Birthday."
"Thank you, mother." I said taking a bite from the pie. "So, who is coming to the party?"
"Most of the heirs and heiresses." My father replied, taking a piece of the pie for himself. "And maybe Maou Lucifer and Leviathan."
The Maous or Devil Kings are the rulers of the underworld. They possess power and abilities strong enough to destroy nations with ease but these Maous are not the original ones. After the death of the original Maous in the great war, four pureblood devils were chosen to carry the title of the Maous. It is said that the current Maous are stronger than the original Maous.
"Aren't they supposed to be busy with their work? Do they have time to attend a simple birthday party?" I asked a bit confused about the Maous coming to my birthday.
My father looked towards me and replied. "The sisters of the current Maou Leviathan and Lucifer are also 5 years old. And they will be coming to your birthday party not to mention that the Maou Leviathan and Maou Lucifer are quite attached to their sisters and doesn't like to leave them alone. So, they will also make a visit."
'The Maous huh? Maybe I can get a rough estimate of their powers if I see them.' Taking another piece of pie, I replied. "I see. So, father, when are you going to start my devil training?"
Saying that I wasn't interested in devil magic would be a blatant lie. An energy that is on par if not above chakra is enough to pique my curiosity. So, I was looking forward to learning it.
Looking at my hopeful face my father answered. "We will start your training after today's party. Which will be from early morning tomorrow. But you better be prepared, it won't be easy."
"Hm." I gave him a nod.
[2 hours later.]
I was in my separate compound to train right now. I figured since I still had around two hours before the party began, I could practice my Chakra and Elemental Control.
'But before that, I need to make sure that no one notices me being here.' Looking around and finding no one I decided to place various seals around the area so that no one can notice me training here.
"Hm, let's start with my elemental control."
Closing my eyes, I started taking deep breaths. It doesn't take much effort to absorb and mould chakra if you have enough control. I have enough experience from my past life, so using the basic jutsus should not be much difficult.
'Let's see. Let the chakra flow through your body and gather it near your mouth, mould it and-'
[Katon: Goukakyuu no jutsu/Great Fireball Jutsu]
A fireball big enough to burn down a tree appeared before me.
Now normal fireballs created by this jutsu are already strong enough to burn humans to a crisp. But making the fireball spin at a rapid pace while compressing the center makes it even more dangerous. And that's what this Fireball Jutsu is. A deadly spinning compressed ball of flame.
I continued practicing Great Fireball Jutsu for a few more times, trying to reduce the time consumption to make the fireballs faster.
[Few hours later]
'Hn. As I thought I can still cast my original Justus with ease. Now let's try my other elements. Let's try wind style.'
[Fuuton: Daitoppa/ Great Breakthrough]
A strong gust of wind blew away the pebbles and leaves around me.
'This was weaker than the fireball jutsu because I already exhausted most of my chakra while practicing the fireball jutsu. I need to figure out a way to increase my Chakra capacity.' Looking up I find the sun turning orange.
"It's going to be evening in a few hours, I should return before everyone starts looking for me."
Removing the seals placed on the area I vanished in a puff of smoke using [Shunshin Jutsu/ Body Flicker].
[30 minutes later]
Returning home, I went to my room and started writing the Chakra natures I have. I have all the nature releases I had in my original world as I can feel the elements in the environment, which I believe is due to me being a devil. Very few devils practice Chakra but those who do practice it can feel the natural elements they can use. Only a handful of Chakra users (who are not yōkai) can use more than one Chakra nature.
So, the current Chakra natures I have are:
Wind
Lightning
Fire
Yin
I can't use my Yin release now, but I can unlock it once I stabilize my chakra flow. So, within 3 years, I should be able to use basic yin release, which will give me a huge boost for my genjutsu abilities.
Now moving onto the main issue, which is-
"The Sharingan."
I can't seem to awaken it for some reason. I am not even sure if I have the sharingan, but since I still have all of my original chakra releases, I should still have it. But I am not an Uchiha now, so do I still have the Sharingan?
"If my Sharingan doesn't awake after tonight's party, I will have to cast [Thousand Nightmares] jutsu upon myself to force awaken the Sharingan. If I am still unable to awaken it after this, I will be sure that I don't possess it anymore. Sigh I will think about it later. I should probably get ready."
[Later]
"Should I help you, young master?" Layla asks with a cute tilt of her head.
"N-No I can wear my own clothes, but I appreciate you asking." I said, feeling a bit flustered. But then again, I cannot blame her, after all I am just a 5-year-old kid and noble devils are always assigned a maid to help them wear clothes. But being a 24-year-old in reality (19+5), I can't help but get flustered when a beautiful 22-year-old woman says that she wants me to help get dressed.
"The guests should arrive in an hour, Lady Seere ordered me to make sure that you are properly dressed." She said taking out the suit that she showed me in the morning. "Lord Seere told you to wear this suit." She says handing me the suit.
I must admit that the suit is made of high-quality fabric. "Alright, now please wait outside and let me get dressed."
"As you wish, young master." Layla says moving out of the room.
"Sigh I don't think I can get used to this noble life anytime soon."
[Time of the event]
"Are you ready Shisui?" My mother asked with a bit of worry.
"I am, mother."
"Alright, now don't be scared of the crowd. You are a strong boy."
I was about to reply when I heard my father's voice. "Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome my son, the heir of house Seere and the reason for tonight's event, "Shisui Seere!"
Taking a deep breath, I took the stage. And honestly, I was surprised. I never expected this many people to attend my birthday party. The entire hall was filled with devils, old and young alike. After I cooled down a bit, I took the microphone to give my speech.
"Thank you, everyone, for attending my birthday party tonight. My name's Shisui Seere, but most of you should already know it. And I-" I was unable to complete my speech as a certain black-haired magical girl decided to crash my party.
"Yahoo~ Magical Girl Levia-Tan is here!!!"
