Chapter 1: The First Rain
The first rain of spring fell hard and mixed with his tears. Logan had known this was a bad idea from the start. Why had he agreed.
Still Logan forced himself to smile as the cameras turned to him. The president did the same and the camera flashed, As it did he remebered how this whole mess started off.
It had been the first day of winter, the president had just visited logan in his new appartment. Frost was only 23, but he acted far older. Frost had bought logan the appartment. logan didnt like it much. It was wide and spacious with a pool, garden and balcony. its size coupled with a lack of furnishings made it feel empty and lonely.
Frost had met logan in the garden, the snow covered the plants and the white roses poked through. To logan they looked frozen, cold and dead.
"They are beautiful are'nt they" those words had started the timer. the president stared out at the snow topped city and sighed "my grandfather was rather fond of them..."
"Mister president," logan started. "You've lost me"
"Yes, i supouse i have" he aprouched the roses and removed a pair of scisors from his jacket. "Do you like them?" Frost asked as he smiled and raised the scisors to the snow covered plant.
" no, not realy," frost cut him off
"you know... ive never really seen they're apeal either" he cut a rose of the bush a profered it to logan. Frosts face didnt betray a hint of emotion as he spoke "then again, ive never seen the apeal of the games either,"
