Chapter 37: Is little Princess in safe hands..?

Oliver placed the little woman on the bed inside a bedroom decorated in a princess style. Unlike the dungeon, this place is delightful and likable.

He immediately summoned one of the servants to call his grandfather. After all, he is alive only to see this little princess of theirs. As soon as he got the news, he rushed to Oliver's place.

He shouted cheerfully, "young man, you finally brought my granddaughter to me. I am eager to have a look at her. Where is she..?"

Oliver laughed, "keep your voice low, old man. I think she is still asleep. She didn't even stir when I was bringing her here.

Come and have a look if something is wrong with her."

Listening to his words, the older adult rushed towards the bedside and looked at her. He took her hand and tried to check her pulse.

Sighing, he mumbled something to himself. He opened Carla's eyes and astonished as the eyeballs were still in silver-white.

Oliver, frowning, asked, "grandfather is something wrong with her health. Why don't you tell me what's wrong..?"

Grandfather glared at him, spatting his words, "you fool, there's a forceful outburst of power from her body. What were you doing when she was in danger."

Oliver said truthfully, "stop criticizing me, old man, you know how my powers work. I can't sense danger even before it occurs. Have you forgotten this.?"

"Alright.., alright, I don't want us to fight now. Stop reprimanding me now. Let's see what we can do to cure Carla," -- said the old man.

When they were discussing Carla's health condition, someone from outside interrupted with a gentle knock.

Oliver shouted back, "what's the matter to which the servant replied, "Young master, Aniceto, want to have an urgent meeting ."

Oliver frowned at his words but said okay and dismissed him. He didn't allow anyone to come into the room as abducting Carla is not in their plan.

The old man patting on his shoulder said, "Oliver be careful in dealing with them. We don't want one more problem on our doorstep."

"Yes, yes, I understand. You stay here and take care of Carla." Saying, so Oliver exited from the room towards his throne room.

When he reached the room at the other side of the magical barrier, all the elders are fuming with anger.

Seeing him walking lazily, Aniceto said, "little prince, the red pendant we got is not real but duplicate one. Didn't you say it is real."

He sneered but answered calmly, "cool down, you older people. I only gave the information that I got through spying as per your orders. Isn't it..?

Fuming at me with no fault of mine. Don't you think you all want to blame a person."

Cooldown little prince is it necessary to make angrier than already we are. Can't you be more reliable with your sources..?"

Oliver smirked, "are you serious..? if I am not reliable with the information, then who else will be, don't tell me you are going to sidetrack me because of this."

Aniceto clicked his tongue, making everyone shut their mouth, "Oliver, it's not time to bicker with each other. Have you got what we wanted..?"

Oliver shook his head, "Nope! before you all open our mouths to criticize, unlike you, my troops injured the current alpha of moonstone pack."

Listening to him, they were half satisfied. They need the ancient book to craft the artifact now as they can't waste time in finding the real red pendant.

Even then, Aniceto said, "little prince, why don't you help us in finding the pendant..?"

Oliver shook his head, "I am sorry you find yourself with that. I am only cooperating with you to gain my revenge. It's not like I will not be able to move further if you don't help.

Luther is enraged when he knew that Carla is missing in the st. Mary's mansion. Easton and Margery were in an unconscious state when he landed at the estate.

Winden city is less affected compared to other cities. Thanks to the mayor who took all the necessary actions before itself.

Luther called their royal doctor to examine them. He informed, "Royal Highness, they are only unconscious till morning nothing dangerous will happen.

Whoever the person might be, he/she intends only to make them unconscious."

Luther dismissed the doctor and stood by the window beside the bed in Carla's room until it's dawn.

He tried to detect where his daughter might be; alas, all his methods failed in doing so as if someone deliberately countering his attacks.

Helplessness and fatigue due to exhaustion are visible on his face, but he refused to take rest, stubbornly standing there watching the moon vanish and the sunrise the sky.

His emotions were on rollercoaster rider thinking where his princess would be. It's not even a month tey have reconciled with each other, but here came the danger sweeping him off the feet.

Would his princess be safe? Did she wake up? What would she think when she found herself in a foreign land. Is the man/woman can trust with her safety.

It's not like they intended to do something with her. If so, Luther will immediately get notified as her father. Weighing the pros and cons, he calmed his worried heart to think a solution.

Oliver's troops' men are like dolls who will obey his commands no matter what, without questioning him. So he lied flatly through his teeth about the book.

As soon as he got his hands on the book, he passed it to the old man and said, "come on now, look into it and used any method to make her wake up."

They both were looking at it intently as if they found a solution.

Meanwhile, Nina cured William with her magic but he needs to take rest. She ordered the servant to prepare soup with ancient medicinal herbs.

When Jacob rushed back, his mother is taking care of his father sitting beside him on the bed in their bedroom. He understood it might be a dangerous attack looking at his father.

Nina looked at him and nodded her head. She blinked away her tears and gave a little smile as if assuring about his father's condition.

Leon's werewolf Chase sensed something unusual when he was in the halfway through the race competition. If he risks now, his life will be in danger.

Calming himself, he finished the race in less time than his usual record. Receiving the award, Leon said, "thank you so much, for supporting me in the race. I am apologizing as i have to leave due to an emergency."

He didn't mention anything to his manger and rushed off to his packhouse.

When Margery and Easton woke up, they were confused thinking why they fell asleep in the living room instead of their bedroom.

Being a witch herself, Margery immediately gathered what happened yesterday. She rushed to Carla's bedroom.

Instead of Carla, they saw Luther standing there. Easton probed, "Brother, what happened. Where is Carla, did you took her to royal mansion..?"

Margery sensing something asked, "is Carla missing brother-in-law..?" Luther nodded his head in yes gesture.

Margery sat on the bed with a thud sound and tried to recall what happened yesterday. Easton smoothed her back while she blamed herself for this misfortune.

"It was all our fault, Easton, if we shouldn't have conducted the party, she would be here with us now.

I am telling you someone might have sensed her power and abducted her to use against us. brother-in-law, why are you here still, we have to find her come."

Luther said, "Margery calm down. Do you think I have not used my power to find her? I believe she is in safe hands if not we could have sensed it right..?

William woke up from his unconscious and asked them to call Luther and his family immediately.
