Chapter 148: The Sound of Silence

"But how can I forget... when I have already fallen for you?"

Arvid only looked at Frey who staring at him blankly with her sad eyes. Tears escaped from the corner of her eyes then she avoided looking at him as she looked at the shore and wiped her tears away. 

"Frey..."

Arvid didn't know what to say. He didn't know that Frey was in love with him. He doesn't also know why she likes him! He didn't see it coming and he thought that she liked someone else. 

Now that she had told him, he didn't know what to do. 

He didn't know what to say. 

"What would happen to our friendship now?" Frey looked at him, her eyes slightly red, her face flushed, and her lips curling into a sad smile. "Will we have a ruined friendship like you said when a person confesses?"

Arvid avoided her gaze. He sighed as he shook his head, not wanting that either. 

"I don't know... but I wouldn't want that."
