Chapter 146: No Man's Land

I stare out at the woods, waiting for Thane and CheeChee to return as I continue to piece everything together. The reason Silas is chasing him isn't because he was once his right-hand man. It's because he has something very important.

When I feel myself growing lighter, I slowly close my eyes and go with it. Maybe I can see what Lewis saw on the computer this way. Unfortunately, that's not what I was brought to. The familiar scene of my family comes into view once again. 

Valen pushes me and says "Tag! You're it!" before running off. I grit my teeth and step back. Why was I seeing this again!? Why!?? As if ignoring my own wishes, the image shifts, and I'm watching myself being attacked once again.
