Chapter 13: Beginner Tower

Lydro paid 10 bronze coins and got the token that can make him enter the tower.
The 'beginner test tower' has ten floors and there are three levels every floor.
It's corresponded as 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 2-1,... to 10-3! So overall, there are 30 levels.
Every level has monsters to defeat. It's also known that the lower your level is, the easier the tower is going to be. As the tower's difficulty is based on the player's level.
For example, a level 5 player challenged the tower, the first floor's monsters have the same level as players (lvl 5), then the second-floor monsters are going to be level 6, the third floor has lvl 7, and so forth.
So if you're level 10 player, your second floor will be lvl 11, then so forth. But, the level suppression after level 10 is huge, so the difficulty is going to be high.
After you killed a monster there, the corpse will disappear instantly. You will not gain any Exp, nor any drops from the monsters.
You can only gain something after you cleared or been killed or withdrawn in the tower.
The system will count how many monsters you killed, how long have you been in the tower, and how you performed. There are also bonus points if the monster you killed is an elite, boss, or higher level than you.
The tower has also a time limit. A time limit on every floor. For instance, the first floor has a time limit of 10 minutes, the second floor's time limit is 20 minutes, and so forth.
The system only changes the tower every month. So for a whole month, the monsters are always the same except for their levels.
Lydro already knows the secrets and strategies to clear the tower.
In Lydro's past life, he also challenged the tower after he became level 5, but he withdrew on the third floor as he couldn't continue anymore.
Now, he is reincarnated. He plans to clear the floors till the ninth floor.
He knows that he doesn't have the capacity to clear the 10th floor and if he's been killed there, the quality of the rewards would decrease. It's also known that the monsters on the 10th floor are impossible to kill. Only a few maniacs and rich guild leaders managed to clear it.
He also plans to enter the towers of other towns until he leveled up to level 10. He knows that the rewards of the tower are incredibly great.
There's also a ranking board at the entrance of the tower. This ranking board is quite prestigious and if your in-game name appears on this board, you'll be famous instantly.
There's a beginner test tower in each town, so it's notable and remarkable if your name is in the ranking board.
This ranking board ranks the players all over the Gemini Continent, you can see what rank are you in the board, but only the top 20 players will be publicized on the board.
Lydro checked the ranking board and saw some familiar names:

Several players came from the same kingdom. These kingdoms are the most powerful kingdom in Gemini Continent.
There are 5 players from the Indigo Kingdom, 4 players from the Volvic Kingdom, 3 players from the Pride Kingdom, and the others are from different kingdoms.
The Indigo Kingdom is actually one of the main-Chinese player kingdoms. It's in the very middle of the continent.
The Volvic Kingdom is a kingdom that most players are from the Philippines. It's also the most crowded kingdom.
The Pride Kingdom is a main-American player kingdom. It's the largest and wealthiest kingdom.
Lydro is familiar to the most players in the ranking board except for McDonald and <HunterXHunter>.
Lydro is also surprised that there's a player from Wodah's Kingdom and didn't even hear a single thing from this McDonald. He is also shocked when he saw Lu Shong and Dying Heart names because, in Lydro's past life, they were lifestyle players and were rivals of Lydro!
Lu Shong was one of the best Emperor Blacksmith and Dying Heart was also one of the best Emperor Alchemists.
In EoVT, the lifestyle jobs are ranked into Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert, Elite, Master, Grandmaster, King, Emperor, and Saint/Legend.
Although they are Emperor ranked lifestyle jobs, Lydro is much better than them. Lydro is at the peak of Emperor rank in both Forging and Alchemy!
Lydro had a side-class 'Scholar' in his past life. He got this side-class because of his lifestyle jobs and his main lifestyle jobs were Alchemist and Rune-Master.
In his past life, he was one of the three players who achieved Saint/Legend rank in Rune-Master. He was also in the peak of Emperor rank Alchemist and Blacksmith.
Furthermore, he was Emperor ranked in Array-Master, Apothecary, and Cook! Also, King-ranked Hunter, Poison Master, and Tamer! Lastly, he was also a Grandmaster Engineer and Appraiser!
Of course, the only person who knows that he has over ten lifestyle jobs above Grandmaster rank is him! Even his close friends, family, and the public merely knows that he's Emperor ranked in both Alchemy and Blacksmith. They simply know that he's a very proficient Rune-master and every other job.
It's also because of his disguises, every time he takes a rank-up test in other lifestyle jobs, he disguises himself to nobody.

Lydro searched for where does he place the token in the tower. And when he found it, he placed the token in the wall and a system notice came:

Then, there's a whole introduction that appeared and some rules are written in it.
Lydro already knows the rules and the Infos of Beginner Test Tower, so he just glanced at it.
'From what I know, the monsters on the first floor are fire-type slimes and there's a bug on the first floor and it's also the best farm points of the tower.' thought Lydro.

After seconds of waiting, he's transported to the first floor of the tower.

The players will always be transported randomly on each floor. Each floor has its own setting.
The first-floor setting is in the forest. So, it's easy to get lost. But with Lydro's skills and experience, he can find his way easily.
When Lydro opened his eyes, he immediately used all of his passive skills and to scan his surroundings.
(PS: his passive skills are Keen Smell and Conceal Presence)
There's no one around, and the forest is silent. Nothing to worry about, so he started to look around while using his Mana Perception.
The monsters are normally connected, so if you finished the first stage, the second stage monsters will come in after. The monsters will automatically come because of the system, so Lydro will only need to look nearby.
After a few seconds, Lydro found a monster and ran into it.
Soon, he found a blue slime. Then, he said, "Lucky!"

This blue slime is a healing and cleaning type slime, so they have pretty low HP but have high agility.
Lydro stamps his short staff in the ground and created five compressed magic bullets.
The blue slime tried to dodge, but the bullets are agile with Lydro's control. Before the slime knew it, all of the bullets are already in its small core.
Penta Hit! Critical Hit! - 250 HP!
Ding! [ You have killed a Blue Slime! ]
[ You have gained an additional 1 minute on the 1st floor! ]
Although this blue slime looks like a trap from the system, it's actually a bonus monster! Many players will not kill it as they would think that the system will punish them or lose points. (or either they will find it cute to be killed)
There are only 1-5 bonus monsters on each floor and the classification of the monster and their locations are random, so Lydro is quite lucky to find the weakest one right after he got transported. In some cases, they are both valuable or useless to players as it will only give additional time on its floor.
After killing the blue slime, he continued to hunt and ran around the forest.

P.S. - Sorry guys, in the previous chapter I wrote that "To become an Enchanter, you need to be level 10, one lifestyle job, and an Enchanter Instructor recommendation letter." It's not level 10! It's level 20! Sorry, I'll edit it!
