Chapter 12: School and Training Grounds

Lydro finally arrived at the butcher's and as always, Tim, Tom, and Mr. Gregor are surprised how Lydro is here again. 'He's not here to turn in the quest right? Or he didn't want to kill the frenzied horned rabbit anymore?'
After entering the shop, Lydro said to the three of them while smiling, "Good Morning again! Tim, Tom, and Mr. Gregor! I have completed the task."
Although Gregor is surprised, he said, "Oh! Adventurer! You're quick and proficient by completing your task! May I see the meat and hides of the Frenzied Horned Rabbit?"
"Of course! Here, there's not much meat as it was blown out in our battle." said Lydro. Lydro gave the meat and hides to Gregor and when Gregor saw the qualities of the hides, he said, "It's okay, oh my! The hide's quality is B-rank! I expected that you'll give me a D-rank and C-rank at the best!"
"It's nothing Mr. Gregor, I'm trained at fellmongery." (2)

When Lydro saw the rewards, he became shocked, 'WTF! Where's my badge‽ No! This must be a chain quest! This quest can be taken by anyone, but I'm the first one who finished this quest, so there must be an additional quest!'
Just as Lydro is thinking what are the prerequisites for him to get the additional quest, Gregor whispered at Lydro, "Hey lad! I can see your potential and abilities. I believe you'll have a bright future in fellmongery. Here!" Gregor laughed and passed a badge to Lydro.

"Lad, are you going to Umbra City in the future?" Gregor asked Lydro.
Lydro nodded and said, "Yes! In the future, I will!"
Mr. Gregor nodded and gave a letter to Lydro and he said, "Can you give this letter to my friend, Edgar at Hunter's Guild in Umbra City?"
Lydro didn't hesitate and said, "Yes, Mr. Gregor! I'll promise!"

After that, he bid his goodbye to Mr. Gregor and his students, then Lydro went to school to get a quest that will reward him a skill.
On the way, Lydro bought some fruits and vegetables. Lydro bought 5 stacks and overall cost 10 bronze.
Both Fruits and Vegetables could aid in recovering a player's HP and MP. Their tastes were also quite delicious. The only downside was the bad recovery rate.
Although spending money on Fruits and Vegetables was just wasteful behavior, they are needed in some foods and stocks as players in EoVT can go hungry and thirsty too.
Only rich players buy them but after 2 months (4 months in the game) of the open-beta, people found that if you give fruits or vegetables to elderly or sick people, your intimacy or reputation to them will increase and there's an average rating of 30% that you will gain easily a quest from the person you gave.
Lydro arrived at the school, the school is quite crowded and lively, many players and NPC's are around schools and training grounds.
In Lydro's past life, when he joined EoVT, he stayed in school and training grounds for a whole week! He was just focused on researching, discovering EoVT, and living in a relaxed way in EoVT.
Lydro went inside and went searching for an Enchanter instructor.
To become an Enchanter, you need to be level 20, one lifestyle job, and an Enchanter Instructor recommendation letter.
Lydro already has a lifestyle job. He just needs to become a level 20 and an instructor recommendation letter.
Being enchanter is one of the least popular class and only lifestyle players want to become one. But being an enchanter, there's at least 70% probability that you are richer and wealthier than anyone!
After searching for a while, Lydro finally found an Enchanter instructor. She's a little woman, quite cute, and haggard. Although she looks stressed and injured, she looks very attractive.

Then Lydro greets Irena, "Good Morning Ms. Irena!"
Although Irena is stressed, she smiled and replied, "Good Morning too! Young Adventurer!"

"Yes! I would like to buy an Enchanter skill from you."
Irena's eyes gleamed and she said, "Oh! You're already level 5! Indeed! What do you want? Attack Skills or Support Skills?"
Lydro remembered that he can only learn one skill from Irena at level 5. So, he said, "I want the 'Dancing Lights' skill!"
Dancing Lights skill is one of the best beginner skills for Enchanters and Mages. In Lydro's past life, after a year of open-beta, most Enchanters and Mages had chosen Dancing Lights skill from their beginner instructors as this skill is too useful!
Irena's eyes gleamed again and she said, "Nice choice! But, this skill is quite rare and expensive! Do you still want it?"
"Yes!" Replied Lydro.
Then, Irena solemnly said, "Okay, I'll give the skill to you in exchange for the rabbit meat of at least level 10 of D-rank quality."
Lydro's face is shocked! Because he unexpectedly has this exact rabbit meat!
Before Lydro says anything, Irena added, "Of course, I know this is quite hefty for a level 5 and you're also an Enchanter. But, I'll give you a Novice Hunter Badge and also a recommendation letter to become an Enchanter as a reward too. What do you think?"
After saying that, she screams in her head, saying, 'I need a rabbit's meat in high quality right now. I'm so sorry young adventurer!'
Lydro responded honestly, "I'm sorry Ms. Irena, I already have the Novice Hunter Badge, I don't need it..." while Lydro is still finishing his sentence, he took his badge from his inventory and showed it to her.
Lydro continued his sentence, "...but, I do need a Novice Alchemist Badge."
"I'm sorry, I can't do that, but if you want to an Alchemist, I can recommend you to the principal of this school to test you. Being an alchemist is a huge honor, only the principal can make you one in this town." Irena said to Lydro.
"Okay!" Lydro responded at Irena happily. Then Lydro took the meat from his inventory and gave it to Irena, "Here Ms. Irena!"
"WHAT! How?" Irena said in a surprise. Then, she said to Lydro tearfully, "Thank you, Young Adventurer!"

"Here your Dancing Lights skill and your recommendation letter!" Irena said and gave to Lydro the letter and the skill.

Lydro just smiled and didn't say anything.
In Lydro's past life, the qualities of his materials are always above S-rank. It's not because he intentionally made the quality low-rank, it's because, at the moment, he doesn't have any skills that can make the quality of the materials better and the game is still at its beginning, exactly the first day of Version 1.
Then, she added, "I'm actually in the middle of a test to rank-up my Intermediate Cook lifestyle job to Advanced Cook. I'm going to take my rank-up first, then I'll guide you to the principal in an hour."
"Okay! Thank you, Ms. Irena, I'll see you later!" Lydro bid his goodbye to Irena and left directly to the training grounds.
The training ground is livelier and bigger than the school. It's a very big building that has five floors. In the very center of the building, there's a dark golden tower. This tower is exactly Lydro's goal.
There was a huge plaque written with the characters 'Beginner Test Tower'.
Lydro looked at the ancient-looking tower. He was and always in awe about its exquisite structure.
In EoVT, there are many towers, Tower of God, Tower of Challenges, Tower of Monsters, etc.
But, the 'Beginner Test Tower' is one of the most exquisite towers even if its the smallest.
Even though it's the smallest tower in EoVT, it's the tallest tower in the town.
Lydro went to the reception of the tower and paid to enter the tower.
