Chapter 3: Before getting deployed.
As his deployment came near the people in his platoon started to bully him even more. Every night he would get even more sad. To the point that he started to have nightmares about how his family died. He quickly caught depression.
The depression eventually developed into anxiety and more symptoms. When he had gotten depression everyone started to bully him relentlessly. He had even got paranoia to the point that he couldn't even sleep at night.
The training was still going on making sure everyone was ready for the battles to come. During their training they would run miles and do shooting practices. At training they had basic carbines and sharp katanas except for Hakumi all he got was a damaged dull sword. That sword wouldn't be able to cut anything.
Days draw even closer and closer and even less food was available to the men due to it going to the forces attacking Europe. There was a point to where almost everyone was going to die. The luckily the United states of America started to send convoys of food to Japan.
Then as the Japanese high command was listening to the radio to see how the war effort was they heard the worst thing. "India has capitula..." The radio then suddenly shut off. Luckily Japan was having a better time pushing back the Russians.
Then they heard bomber sirens meaning enemy bombers incoming. The bombers were the Prussians escorted by fighters. Tokyo was being bombarded. The day after the bombing it had been confirmed thousands dead. This had in turn demoralised a lot of Japanese solider.
In Hakumies platoon many people committed suicide. Later notes were found saying that there family's died. That they had no reason to live on Hakumi laughed "Cowards my family had died" then started to cry.
