She just woke up from a strange dream and just then, she heard two voices from her side. Liqin tried to open her eyes but they felt too heavy. It was as if her body won't follow her commands, there was sensation but can't move them yet at will. As she tried to probe the ones interacting, she recognized the sweet voice she always known, her mother but the other was from a man's whom she can't discern. She tried to listen to the conversation to see what was going on.
"Miss Ling, you don't need to accompany me back. Your daughter needs you when she regains her consciousness. And by the way, I'll set off on the early morning. I won't attend your child's awakening at the sect grounds since I have other things to do. I'll get going."
The last sound Hu Liqin heard was the sound of footsteps fading and the faint cry from her mother trying to express her thanks. She wanted to go and console her mother but her body just can't move yet. With some few struggles, she became exhausted and returned to sleep.
Early morning, Liqin felt a warm embrace from her side. She opened her eyes and saw her mother's sleeping face. Just when she hug back, her mother woke up and immediately saw tears coming out from her yearning eyes. From that moment, her mother told her all the main things that happened since her coma days till the present. While Liqin was listening, she never felt the passage of time even with the numerous events that her mother spoke. To her, it was like she had just woke up from yesterday's sleep.
After series of confirmation, Liqin, her mother and some trusted elders went straight ti the sect elder. Her mother told her that she would need to awaken her essence core and become a cultivator to ensure her safety. As her mother said, with her strange body state, she would need to learn how to use the world's essence to maintain a good health.
Hu Liqin remembered the events before her coma like it was yesterday. They were just talking about her joining the awakening ceremony and here they are at the sect with the instruments required for the ritual. When Liqin stood up at the activated array platform, she felt a chilly sensation building up at her lower abdominal cavity. It was cold but at the same time it was comforting. She didn't know how much time has passed but when the cold sensation stopped, she returned to her senses and received the next instructions. After the results of the crystal ball, her reaction was that of confused as she heard her mother saying about separation and so on. After quietly listening and waiting for what happens next, the extraordinary thing happened.
"Greeting the our esteemed guests..."
The three guests slowly neared them with graceful steps. Everyone, including the females were mesmerized by their demeanor, specially with the lady at the middle who glows with bright but cold presence. On the other side, the two younger company who was walking beside her exude a youthful and yet strong aura. When the three stopped at their tracks, the lady at the center spoke in polite but cold tone.
"Disciple Meng, go and introduce us to them."
The youth on her left moved forward and gave an introduction. As she looked on the ones in front, her eyes were showing a glint of disdain. It was as if she was looking at some lower forms of beings. However, even with how she feels at interacting with lowly cultivators, she didn't dare to express it in her words.
"Good day to you all. We came from the North Castle and we're here to greet our newly awakened sister. Little sister, come with us. Our sect master has even come personally to welcome you. Let's not waste our time here and return to our sect."
Although she was offering her hand, her stoic face was not making the invitation warm at all. Anyone who would receive such manner of invite would definitely think twice. But what if it was a child, an eight year old girl who had the heart of a six year old child will see such offer? As much as she's is, she was still a child at heart so it is not a wonder that she'll give a straight rejection. The idea of separating from a parent is still too much for her to bear unless she will be given time to adjust.

Hu Liqin hid behind her mother as she heard the scoldings from the youth. Hu Ling's motherly instinct pulled her daughter even more closer as she tried to counter the pressure coming from the youthful lady.
"Sister Meng! What do you think you're doing? You are talking to a child." The lady on the right reprimanded her fellow sister disciple and went forward to apologize. Although she had a similar cold nature like the first, she looked more amiable.
"Please forgive my fellow disciple as she hasn't mastered her cultivation mantra yet. Us, the women of the North Castle cultivate the same Cultivation Base as the elders. Because of its nature, our character is somewhat affected and will only be freed from its negative effects when we reach a certain level of mastery. In the future, your daughter will also cultivate in our sect but would also be under the supervision of the sect leader. As you have seen, your daughter have the unique essence core, the Ice essence core. Although she looks fine right now, she would have a short lifespan due to the extreme cold present in her body. If she'll train in our sect, the cultivation technique the sect possess will help her overcome this and become even stronger and become an immortal."
Hu Ling listened to the earnest explanation of the young lady and weighed its benefits. If what she said is true, then sending her daughter is the only choice she have. As long as its for her daughter, she will do everything however, her daughter have just recovered from her coma state. She never had enough time to interact with her after two years. Maybe, if she could request some time before sending her. She can only try.
"Esteemed immortals, would it be possible to request something?"
Wu Xinyan, the sect leader of the North Castle came closer and asked about her request. Hu Ling on the other hand felt relieved as she was given a chance to express her mind.
"Thank you, Esteemed Immortal master. I only have one request and that's to allow us mother and daughter to have some time before sending her? She just recovered from an illness which caused her to be in a coma for two years. Its a selfish request of a mother."
"I understand. I, just like you is also like a mother in the sect so I can sympathize with you. In one month's time, I will return and take your daughter to my sect. For the mean time, I'll leave here my disciple Ning to assure your safety for a month. Disciple Ning, you are to stay with this child's family and keep her safe. Also, help this child's mother to reach a higher cultivation. She's one of us already as she's the mother of my future personal disciple. You can't just stay here as a free loader."
"Yes, master. I'll definitely live up to your expectations."
After the talks, Wu Xinyan and disciple Meng returned to their floating ship. A few minutes later, all the ships disappeared from the skies and the dark skies returned to its bright glamour.
"I'll introduce myself. My name is Fu Ning, a disciple of the North Castle. How may I address you little one?"
Fu Ning's amiable nature captured the hearts of everyone and gained their trust just after a short interaction. Even Hu Liqin who was aloof got to speak with her new sister. That day, leaders from different households came to visit the sect but was denied of any information of what transpired, especially about Hu Liqin's successful awakening.
