Chapter 7: The family
Naga looks down into the crib. With rolled up sleeves and tied up hair, light sweat precipitated off his forehead. He looked as though he had worked all day. Based on the new supplies scatted around the cave it was apparent Naga worked hard today. The bright smile he wore as he looked down at me, just seemed to enhanced his sculpted features!
'Who is this!? Why are these people so gorgeous... They can't be celebrity's right..?'
"Athelia! she is so adorable! I'm happy to see she's woken up" Naga says smiling brightly at Serenity. "Yes sweetie she's adorable!" Athelia replied with a gentle smile walking over to the crib.
'This again... What are they saying!? I need to learn this language as soon as possible!' Serenity thought with a determined expression! She looked up to the couple gazing down at her. 'Just you wait! I'll learn everything I need to survive in this world! I'll learn what's happened to me and I'll make a splendid path for myself!!!'
"What a unique expression for a baby." Athelia said staring at Serenity curiously. "Serenity is probably just very intelligent for a baby Dear." Naga says stroking Serenity's head gently. "Yes your probably right Naga! Serenity will definitely be a very smart child!" Athelia said not thinking further about it.
'I wonder what they are saying... For now I should memorise the words. Then I could start to comprehend them!!!' Thought Serenity waving her hands around unconsciously. With a big grin she doesn't realize overtook her face, Serenity continues to memorize what they are saying!
"Look at her Naga! Shes so cute!!! That big grin that must mean she loves her mommy and daddy right!" Athelia exclaimed excitedly! The parents were overwhelmed with happiness staring at Serenity! 'This is great! It seems I'm still great at memorization! Guess Years of work can't go away that easily! I'll learn this language in no time!' Serenity thinks as she tilts her head back seeming to raise her nose in the air.
After a few more minutes Serenity's can't keep her eyes open. The body of a baby doesn't make anything easy and that includes staying awake. Unable to keep awake Serenity drifts back to sleep.
"oh she fell asleep again. I just got home though! Why Serenity, my sweet daughter!!!" Naga says loudly, holding his head, with over exaggerated movements. "Naga... Serenity is sleeping now. We can't wake her up... No more yelling or you'll have to sleep outside today." Athelia whispers with a furrowed brow and a small scowl as she glares at Naga. Realizing what he had done he slumps over gloomily. Muttering a quiet sorry to his wife he goes to sort the materials he had gathered today. Watching her sulking husband walk away Athelia can't help but let out a small giggle.
