Chapter 32: Haru's Plan
--Haru pov--
I woke up and saw a pink ceiling when I got out of bed; I took a long look around my room. Almost all of my room is covered in pink, my lamps, bookshelf, and stuffed animals are pink. Papa has us move from New Zealand to London when I turned three because of me not trying to control my powers in front of people. He didn't get mad at me, but he decided for us to move out and live by ourselves. Now I could use my powers as much as I want inside our home. I looked at the pink cage and saw a cute hedgehog.
Haru: "Mr. Wiggles, we need to go and meet up with our friends outside." I said to the sleeping hedgehog. Who curled up, not wanting to wake up. "Come on, please wake up, Mr. Wiggles."
Mr. Wiggles uncurled in self and came towards me with sleepy eyes. I did not tell this to papa, but I could talk to animals. So I sometimes secretly prank Papa with Mr. Wiggles, who understands me.
Mr. Wiggles: "okay, I'll go with you and your human friend," he said while sighing. I excitedly opened the cage and carefully grabbed Mr. Wiggle and put him on top of my long blond hair, and I used gravity magic so that Mr. Wiggles wouldn't fall off.
When I safely secure Mr. Wiggles on top of my head. I ran downstairs toward the second floor and saw the living room of our home. Papa bought a three-story building in London. There is a secret basement that papa did not tell me which I effortlessly sneak in. The first floor is our cafe, named Little Foxtail cafe, named after me, and the big carriage where he keeps his 2009 Harley-Davidson XR1200, which he begrudgingly attached a sidecar for me to sit on when we ride, and Ford F-150. The third level is where our rooms are; there is four-room one for Papa while another for me the rest is for guests. And finally, the roof of the building has a small pool and a garden. I asked Papa to install a garden because I like to take care of them. And finally, the secret ground floor is where Papa disappears when he is not working. I don't usually go there as the things in there have some terrible vibes emanating out from them.
Papa is always working, not trying to fix his bad habit of having a cold face when I'm not around. But most girl customers love his wintry look. Saying that it's he is like those cold CEOs from the web novel they are reading, or he is so dangerously handsome. For me, I don't like this part of Papa; he always looks sad, staring at a picture of Mama. Then I got an idea together with my friend; we will help Papa get another Mama. So my friend and I have been asking some of the customers if they would become my Mama. To which they said no saying it's too much for them to handle a handsome single Dad. I don't get why they call papa attractive, but they don't like him.
When I got down the first floor, I saw my friend Ryan who was sitting on one of the free tables that were not occupied by customers. Ryan has black hair, and he has blue eyes. He has been my friend since I first moved here, but papa looked at Ryan like he is a threat towards me.
I also saw Papa working in the kitchen, making food and drinks for the customers, who are so hypnotized by papa's skills in the kitchen. I didn't bother Papa and went toward Ryan, who was waiting for me.
Haru: "Ryan, you ready to play." I said with excitement on my face.
Ryan: "Yeah, we should wait for Mom so she could drop us in the playground." he said while looking at Papa, who was glaring at Ryan.
Joseph: "Haru, before you go, do remember to protect yourself, okay, especially from other boys in the playground." he said while glaring at Ryan. "Especially you, Ryan, remember what I have taught you in martial arts."
Ryan: "Yes, master, I will not let anyone Hurt Haru," he said while bowing in front of Papa. After Papa knows that Ryan is just an ordinary friend that I befriend because some big kids are bullying him. Papa started helping Ryan fight back his bullies, and in return, protect me from harm, which was excessive for Papa.
Haru: "Come on, Ryan, we need to go, your mom here to take us to the playground." I said while pulling his hands toward the exit of the cafe.
When we got out, we were greeted by Ryan's mom, who just looks like Ryan.
Haru: "hello, Mrs. Davis, how are you today," I said with a smile on my face. When Mrs. Davis saw me, she was about to pat my head but stopped midway because of Mr. Wiggles, so she only smiled at me.
Mrs. Davis: "Oh, I'm good little Haru; are you ready to go and play in the park." she said while looking at Ryan, who was next to me.
Ryan: "let's go, mom, were ready." He said impatiently.
Mrs. Davis: "Oh, my little guy is not even greeting his mother," she said while glaring at Ryan. "Why can you be like Little Haru, who greeted me?"
Ryan: "let go already." he said toward his Mom, who was glaring at him.
Mrs. Davis: "Okay, kids, let's get in the car, then." When she said that, I opened the back door and got in together with Ryan. When we were riding in the car, Mrs. Davis looked at me through her rear mirror and asked me a question.
Mrs. Davis: "Little Haru, are you still looking for a mother candidate for your father together with my son." she said while driving her car.
Haru: "yes, but most of the people we talk to would not want to be with Papa." I said with a sad tone in my voice.
Mrs. Davis: "I could understand the people who you talked to why they wouldn't want to be with your father." she said while nodding her head. "They only see the mysterious person who is cold. But don't want to discover what's under the crisp exterior of your father. If we're still single, I would gladly be your mother." She said jokingly. I was a little excited but went back to being sad again.
Ryan: "MOOM! Don't joke around like that," he yelled at his mom. I look out the window of the car and hope for someone actually to love Papa.
