Chapter 42: Completing the Third Test
After almost five minutes Ren was able to store the whole body of the chief demon owl in the crimson world. Since Ren's paths weren't very high Ren wasn't able to turn any part of the body into points yet, but Ren was able to use the soul healing technique to absorb a portion of the chief demon owls soul to increase his vitality. From absorbing a part of the soul Ren's vitality was now at 160 after the soul had gone to the afterworld. Now that Ren had gotten all the things he could from the chief demon owl he decided that he was going to leave the lair because he still didn't know if there was an elder demon owl. After sneaking around for around twenty minutes Ren was now outside of the lair.
Since Ren had only been on this test for 2 days the maximum of 7 that he was given, he decided that he would use the next few days to experiment with the blood path, and see if the demon owl he had in the crimson world knew any special techniques from the demon owl clan. * Five-day time-skip* During these past five days Ren had made one blood technique and made his owl chakra aura more like the demon owls. Ren named the blood technique metal blood technique, this jutsu allowed Ren to fuse metal into his blood to reinforce it, and when he fused his blood with some metal chakra metal, that he got from Kazuma (Furido), his blood began to fuse with his chakra and now his chakra signature seemed for metallic and seemed to be a more blood-like color.
Fusing his blood with chakra metal also increased Ren's chakra capacity by 10 points. Now his owl chakra aura had the metallic look just like demon owls feathers, and if someone who could see chakra looked closely at the owl chakra aura they would see small blade-like feathers just like a demon owl's feathers. These small blades allowed Ren to make small cuts on people with any physical attacks. During this time Ren now had a lot more chakra in the crimson world because the demon owl kept realizing its chakra into the crimson world then getting back its chakra in the Naruto world. Currently, Ren was now back at the demon bat lair and was walking deeper in the cave to tell the elder demon bat that he had killed the chief demon owl.
Since Ren didn't know how the elder demon bat would make sure he killed the chief demon owl he had taken a small amount of the chief demon owl's blood and put it in a vial. After walking in the cave for a little less than a minute Ren was now in front of the elder demon bat and told him that he had killed the chief demon owl. After he said this the elder demon bat told him that for verification he needed just one part of the chief demon owls body, so Ren presented the vial of blood. When the elder demon bat saw this vial of blood he was slightly surprised because he didn't expect that Ren actually killed the chief demon owl since his body seemed completely unharmed. Since the demon bat clan and the demon owl clan had been fighting for a long time the elder demon bat could tell this was 100% the chief demon owls blood.
���Now that you have passed the third test you can learn all the techniques of our demon bat clan, but since I have noticed that you seem relatively unharmed even though you had just fought the chief demon owl, you can choose if you want to take the last fourth test." - Elder demon bat
"What benefits do I gain from completing this fourth test, also can you tell me what the fourth test would be." - Ren
"If you can finish the fourth test you can qualify to become the head of the demon bat clan, which would give you access to all of our forbidden techniques. Unless you tell me you want to do the fourth test I can not tell you what it is about." - Elder demon bat
"What are these forbidden techniques?" - Ren
"To tell you about the forbidden techniques I must first tell you about sage animals. Sage animals have techniques that allow people to use chakra from nature and this gives access to what they call 'Sage mode', while us Demon animals have techniques that allow people to use chakra from the underworld and this gives access to 'Demon mode' which is harder to control but stronger." - Elder demon bat
"Is there a time limit for the amount of time I can use to decide if I want to take the fourth test." - Ren
"Yes, there is a time limit. The time limit is one month, and if you don't give an answer during this month you will never get the opportunity to become the head of the demon bat clan." - Elder demon bat
Now that Ren knew there was a one-month time limit he decided to learn some of the demon bat clan's techniques and then if he learned strong enough techniques he would take the fourth test.
"I will wait to give you my answer because I want to learn some of the demon bat clan's techniques first." - Ren
"Okay, I will tell the guards of the library that you are allowed to view all the same scrolls as a normal member of the demon bat clan." - Elder demon bat
After the Elder demon bat said this Ren asked where the library was and the Elder demon bat said that he would guide Ren to the library.

SilverSerpent Sorry that this chapter is slightly shorter than normal, I just wanted it to end without Mc going to the libary and learning techniques. The next chapter will probably have him go to the libary get a few techniques and then I will do a time-skip to him having learnt all the techniques.
Also sorry this chapter is slightly later than normal I forgot to post it on time.
