Chapter 229: Of the two Su demons

Renlu was far from Xianggu. It had been a long trek but Su Wen was ready to welcome the refugees that sought shelter in his city. He had heard the news from his wife. Their plan was finally being put into motion. 

Of the two Su demons, Zhang Wang always felt a bit closer and more familiar with Su Zui compared to Su Wen. It was likely because Yu Yanlin used to quietly remind him at times that he didn't particularly find Su Wen very trustworthy. 

Su Wen had always been just a bit more materialistic, a bit more power-driven and a bit less happy with his life than Su Zui had been.

But all those things had been from a previous life.
