Chapter 208: Only in fleeting instances

"Don't tell me you're the monk that Shijie was referring to holing up in old temples."

He grinned, "Yup, the one and only. How's Shijie? She coming back anytime soon? My Old Lady's missing her mighty, my little one too."

Zhang Wang sighed, the two of them huddled around the small hearth-like light. Like old times, Guo Lang shared some stale buns and the two of them munched in the darkness of the temple. This was unlikely any proper conduct for a monk, but Zhang Wang also doubted that Guo Lang knew anything about that sort of thing, and simply decided to don the title on a whim. 

"This is harassment," Zhang Wang mumbled with a scowl as he ripped into the bun, dried flakes peppered his mouth. "Leading me on like that."

"Hey, Shijie and I found something really good and we wanted to share. Shijie probably knew you wouldn't listen unless it was something to do with Lu Xumen or Guang Suixi." Guo Lang smiled mysteriously at that.
