The journey through the jungle of the Mysterious Island was as anyone would expect: trees, grass, wild animals, flowers, fruits, and many more island-like things.
The only change is that everything was reversed from their original size in the mortal world, also enhanced a couple of times over by the lingering divinity in the air.
Plants stood above thirty meters, with trees barely one meter. Apes and many other animals were relatively small, while bugs, lizards, and the lower in the animal kingdom reigned supreme.
Zeel found this entire scenery a bit pleasing, nothing could be suppressed forever - a fact he had learned during his training provided by the Asheborns from his original universe.
He had been suppressed for a long time and one incident with a God-Syphon fragment gave him the push he needed to rebel.
The accumulation of all his experiences thus far made him who he is. Zeel would not change anything in his past, even if it was filled with pain and torture he could not yet understand.
For a brief moment, Zeel had achieved tranquillity with his mind being at ease. Suddenly, memories came flooding in, memories Zeel had tucked away long ago.
They were too precious for the Forbidden Cube, but also too beautiful to deny.
Zeel had been expecting these memories to resurface the moment he got his Dimensional Travelling Divinity. No doubt, he got the divinity for this exact purpose.
She was calling out to him, she missed him dearly. After all, he hadn't paid her a visit since the collapse of his Universe.
Truly, Zeel wished to forget about her completely, but his own mind would never let that happen.
Especially now with his emotions growing, he needed an outlet where he could be himself more than ever.
Unlike what Alice and Elizabeth thought, Zeel knew he was slowly breaking apart, and not only because of chains poisoning his soul.
Zeel walked in a daze as he could still vividly recall her dark brown hair, the scars she received from countless battles, the brands of honor engraved onto her skin – the first amongst the women of the tribe to ever make chieftain in an environment where women were nothing but procreation tools.
She always liked the way he could make miracles out of the trash-food they were given.
Where others just thought to survive, she was truly living every day to the fullest. Her purple eyes only saw the twilight, where everyone else saw only darkness. Her name was -
"Zeel! Zeel" Alice yelled in a panic feeling for the first time something other than disgust for Zeel since she awoke her divinity.
As a god, Alice had become extremely empathetic, so the moment she could feel intense emotions swirling inside his mind.
The moment he went into a daze, her intuition lit up like a Christmas parade telling her to break him out of the daze asap.
Alice's intuition had never been so vivid, it was as if it was telling her to keep his mind on Elizabeth and herself.
Zeel held his head in pain, everything he had barely recalled was once again locked into the recesses of his deep subconscious mind, guarded by all the constructs he put in place to stop any mental abilities from affecting him – never would he have thought that it would also protect his own memories from himself.
"It's okay, I just won't think about her too much," Zeel said after exiting his dazed state.
It was dangerous to think about her, because the more he thought of her, the stronger her pull on him would get.
Alice grabbed his hand and caressed it gently "It was nothing; you were a bit exhausted after the experiment earlier,"
Elizabeth, who had been watching everything happen, also had a feeling of deep dread for a brief moment before it receded almost as quickly as it appeared.
Alice and Zeel had a much deeper connection as she was able to perceive the situation going dire much earlier than Elizabeth.
Hank was off to the side comforting a downtrodden Sean who had just struck out with Kailani – a Kailani who seemed to develop some subtle feelings for an apathetic Zeel.
'That won't end well' was a single thought simultaneously running through Alice's and Elizabeth's heads when they saw the enamored look on Kailani's face.
Alexander, who had been leading quietly the entire time, suddenly chimed out in a proud tone of voice "We're almost there. Get ready, Sean. I'm about to take your breath away,"
Exiting the nearby shrubs, what the group saw amazed them to no end, both groups however were for different reasons.
Zeel, Alice, and Elizabeth were surprised because even while they were standing there within the ruins and could see it in all its full glory; they were unable to perceive the structure – almost as if nothing was there, to begin with.
Sean, Hank, Gabato, and Kailani were shocked because it was always an enamoring experience to witness human history where you least expected it – on an island that had been beneath the ocean for possibly thousands of years.
"The ruins appeared to have Mesopotamian origins, or possibly pre-dating Mesopotamia itself. Maybe someone saw these designs and took them all over Egypt, spreading the knowledge amongst many other cultures," Elizabeth analyzed since she was much more in tune with each world's history they visited.
At that moment of absolute confusion, Sean saved the day with his irrelevant statement "Wow! Unbelievable!"
"How do you like Grandpa now?" Alexander bragged to an intrigued Hank, who for once had to admit the old man had outclassed him with this discovery.
Zeel, Alice, and Elizabeth began exploring around the ruins with great cautiousness in their steps. Everyone explored for a bit until Alexander summoned them all to the center of the ruins.
Sean asked Hank to remove a rock since he had an inkling of what this place is, or rather was during its period of prosperity.
"Well, that's Poseidon. I can't believe it. We're standing in the lost city of Atlantis," Sean said after reading the vague, barely English language imprinted in the circular emblem.
Zeel, Alice, and Elizabeth slapped their head at the mere stupidity of the group that came with them.
Not being able to bear it anymore Elizabeth interrupted their 'Eureka' moment "Sean, Hank, Gabato – well exclude Gabato he is just an idiot... Kailani, and Alexander,"
Elizabeth took a deep breath before she continued "How long ago was the English language invented, in its entirety? Maybe even partially?"
"Maybe late 17th century," Kailani answered earning her looks from everyone "What I read it in a book,"
"Good, Good," Elizabeth clapped at the thought of finally finding someone with less intelligence than herself, then continued "Recognize the problem now?"
"This language shouldn't be here," Hank said after thinking for a while "If it was just a piece similar to the English language then I would understand but this is almost like it was made for us to understand,"
Hank, Kailani, Sean and Gabato's eyes opened wide due to fear, how could they not figure this out with all the hints dropped?
"Exactly!" Alice said as she finished "What else or who else can understand you no matter what?"
Sean thought for a while "You guys have been understanding us all this while even though sometimes when you speak amongst each other, I hear you speak a different language,"
"Yeah," Zeel nodded in approval "Gods have an innate ability to comprehend any language that isn't forbidden or have dimensional energies keyed into their structure,"
"Meaning whatever this symbol is that says 'Atlantis' is 'God' in origin?" Hank asked cautiously.
"Yeah," Elizabeth said as she gave the over-grown-muscular man a thumbs up in approval.
