Water Passion
After exploring at Mt. Moon, Yui, Brock and Misty finally arrived at Cerulean City. "This is where I can get my second badge." said Yui while smiling.
"Have you decided what Pokémon you are using?" asked Brock. "Well, I know that Cerulean Gym uses water Pokémon, so I'll definitely use Rai and I promise Tsubasa that I will let her have the second gym battle. But first I'm going to train my Pokémon and searching for the Gym Leader play style" claim Yui.
Misty wasn't saying anything. "Hey Misty, is something wrong? I mean you've been quiet ever since we got here" Ask Yui worried for Misty. Misty didn't want to say anything, but she had to tell her friends what her problem was.
"Well, the truth is I didn't really want to come back to Cerulean City". "Why? Did something bad happen to you here?" asked Brock. "No, nothing like that, the truth is I'm one of the leaders of this gym" confess Misty. "What you're a gym leader of Cerulean Gym!?" gasped Yui.
Misty took out a photo from her backpack. It was a photo of her and three beautiful girls behind her. "Those three girls are my elder sisters Daisy, Violet and Lily, since they are so beautiful. I'm like a runt to them" explained Misty. "Wait, are you saying that they bully you? asked Yui. "Not exactly bully me, but they like to tease me" said Misty uncomfortable.
"So you left them to not catch more water Pokémon, but to get away from your sisters as well?" asked Yui. "Yes," said Misty. Yui felt sorry for Misty, being picked on was not nice. "Well, if you don't want to come to the gym with us. I don't really mind." said Yui trying to cheer her up. Misty smiled and accepted the offer. "I'm going to do something if it's all right." she said and walked off.
So Yui and Brock set off for the Pokémon Center by themselves, while Misty did her business. While on the way they noticed some police in front of a machine shop. "What's going on?" asked Yui. She and Brock went to find out. They asked Officer Jenny what happened. Officer Jenny explained that someone stole a lot of machine parts from the shop. "I wonder why the thieves did that" said Yui.
"I don't know, but when it comes to thieves they steal anything for all sorts of reasons." said Brock.
"Yui somehow I have the feeling that they trying to do something again." Said Yin with a groan. "Do you mean those team Rocket?" Ask Yui. "Yea, them." Shrug Yin not caring the annoying group name. "Just be careful Yui." Advice Yang. "Okay." Reply Yui.
Brock finally have the courage to ask after some days observing Yui. "Yui are you perhaps understand what Pokémon said?"
"Hmn, yes I can understand them fine. Now that you mention it I never explain you that I have gifts." Said Yui. "Gift?" Ask Brock confuse.
"Ah, Yui can understand us and yes we can do telepathy but don't expect us doing this every time we aren't physic type Pokémon after all." Reply Yin bored as he let out a loud yawn on Yui head.
"*sigh* and never expect others Yui Pokémon to be able to do telepathy like us. The two of us are the only one that are special. And before I forgot to mention Yui can also heal Pokémon but after that she get really tired, so don't expect her much. Yui also have habits to attract rare Pokémon.
I suggest you prepare for that before you have a heart attack like a certain old man." Said Yang explain more as he saw the stupefied look on Brock face.

Meanwhile in a certain place a certain old man wearing professor outfit sneeze loudly making the Pokémon he want to examine jump in surprise and start running around the lab in panic. A loud shouting can be heard outside the laboratory and though Pallet Town.

Back at Brock who mouth wide open in shock as it was the first time he experience telepathy. "Earth to Brock, can you hear me?" Ask Yui while she waving her hand in front Brock's face. "A-ah, yeah I'm fine. Just that is quite a lot information to swallow." Reply Brock with shutters as he still progressing the new information.
"Do you want to rest in the Pokémon Center? I want to train my Pokémon first before challenging the Gym." Suggest Yui. Brock give her a weak nod and walk sluggishly to the Pokémon Center.
"You break him brother." Said Yin. "I don't know what are you saying." Said Yang 'innocently' with wide victorious smirk on his face. "Sometimes I wonder who is the worse one among us." Comment Yin with sweatdrop at his brother sadistic habits that sometimes come out.
"Guys, let's start searching a spot to train." Yui said as she busy worrying Brock to hear the two brothers conversation.
Yui walk around near Cerulean Town and found a nice place to train with big lake on it. "This place is perfect." Said Yui as she let out Rai, Diamond, and Tsubasa out from their pokeball.
"Alright let's train. This time we're facing a water type gym. I'm going to count on you Rai and as promise, I will let you take on the gym battle Tsubasa." Said Yui. Rai give Yui an excited nod while Tsubasa dance happily that she finally can battle.
"I'm sorry Dia but you have to sit this out. But we will still train together." Said Yui with apologize face. Dia give Yui a smile "I don't mind it Yui, I don't like fighting that much beside you promise Tsubasa this second gym battle." Tsubasa let out happy squeal as she warp her body happily at her sister.
Yui smile "Well, Tsubasa still young that make her very flexible and frail. But, let's take advantage on this weakness. Tsubasa I will train your body to handle speed and to train your flexibility. I want you to really listen well to me at the battle. You must be patience and when I say strike don't hesitate to launch your best attack."
Tsubasa lose her cheerful attitude and look at me with determine eyes. She give Yui a serious nod.
Yui then look at Rai "Rai, you're very talented and a rare prodigy but your power also too great and hard to control. We learn to somehow tame it down but that is not really healthy. You're a natural power house. I have some move to help you change out that power but it's up to you to learn it. So up for the challenge?"
Rai give me an excited grin "Bring it on!" Yui give him a sad smile. Rai really remind her of her energetic and adventurous late brother. If they met maybe they become best friend to each other.
"Alright! Start with the basic training with Yang and then endurance with mental training with Yin for an hour and then energy control with accuracy training with Yang also for an hour. Then come back to me when you're done." With that her Pokémon start the work out that given by their senior Yin and Yang. That time the junior learn for the first time that Yin is very annoying in his lesson while Yang lesson is very professional and strict.
They understand why Yin's training being called endurance and mental (patience) training.
At the evening all the training is over. All her Pokémon are breathing heavily except for Yin and Yang who look a bit better than the others. "Thanks for the good work let's rest for tonight and tackle the Cerulean gym tomorrow." Rai, Dia, and Tsubasa give her a tired nod but satisfied smile on their tired face.
Yui return them to their own pokeball. She then pick both Yin and Yang up and heal all of her Pokémon at the Pokémon Center before resting for the night.

"*yawn* good morning Yin, Yang." said Yui while stretching her hands up. Yang replied her while dozing a bit, while Yin still continue to sleep without care of the world. Yui giggle a bit and get up from bed. She take the shower first then she cook breakfast for her and her Pokémon.
Yin smell the food and immediately wake up. He jump from the bed startling Yang up from his half asleep state. "Wha-What happen!" Yang yell and start to look around him in fighting mode. "FOOD!!" Yelled Yin as he dash to the kitchen. Yang stay still to analyze the situation before murmuring with head down. "He did it again...*sigh*" with that Yang do the basic stretch up and then walk to the kitchen.
In the kitchen Yang can see his brother jumping happily while wagging his tail "Gimme! Gimme!" Yin eyes shine like a child. Yui giggle "Okay, okay wait for a moment. I almost done. Stay still and don't snack!" Yin stop his paw from reaching the food and move away with a sad face.
Yui put the last plate in front him and pat his hair "Okay you can eat up. Don't forget to wash before you eat." Yin give her a smile and walk to bathroom.
Yui called her other Pokémon and have breakfast together. Yui then meet up with Brock in the lobby he said he need to pick up some supplies for the journey in the Pokemart. So, Yui went to Cerulean Gym alone.
Soon Yui reached Cerulean Gym; the building was a pink and yellow dome shape, with a big picture of a Dewgong.
When Yui enter the lobby is empty. She then heard cheering coming from outside the lobby. She went through the doors from the lobby and saw what was happening. Three beautiful girls were performing a water ballet in a giant swimming pool. Yui recognized them from Misty's photo. "Those are Misty's sisters" said Yui.
Yui thought that the sisters really like water ballet maybe that is the reason why the gym is left empty. They want to be a water ballet more than become a gym leader.
When the water ballet was over, Yui went to talk to the gym leaders. Daisy, Violet and Lily were talking to each other by the pool, about their show. "Daisy you're dive was perfect" said Lily, the pink haired one. "Practice does make perfect" replied Daisy, who was blond haired. "I think that show was our best one yet" said Violet, the blue haired one.
"Uh, excuse me" said Yui. The three sister stop talking to each other and look at Yui before they froze. "Hello, is something wrong?" Ask Yui uncomfortably as the sisters stared at her fiercely.
They then yell together "ADORABLE!!" Then proceed to hug Yui and shower her with cheeks pinching. They accidentally push Yui that make Yin and Yang being thrown from her. "Look at you so tiny like a doll!" Exclaim Lily excitedly as she take some pictures of her. "Whoa, look at this smooth white skin. I'm so jealous! How you make it this smooth?" Said Daisy as she ran her hand on Yui's cheeks. "Look at her hair! It so soft like a silk." Said Violet as she playing with Yui's hair.
Yin and Yang let out a growl to scares the sisters as they make Yui very uncomfortable. The sisters immediately move away from Yui being startled by the sudden growl. Yin and Yang immediately stand in front her body and growl at the sisters while wrapping a tail of their body to Yui protectively.
"I'm here to battle you for a badge" said Yui after she fix up her clothes and calm Yin and Yang protective trait. The three sisters looked at each other. "Sorry, but we are not into battles anymore" said Violet. "You see we were beaten three times in a row from these kids from Pallet Town" said Daisy. Yui realized that Gary must have been here. "And this is the only Pokémon we have left" said Lily, throwing a pokeball. It was a Goldeen. Yui opened the pokedex and scan the Pokémon.
Goldeen, the Goldfish Pokémon
Goldeen is a very beautiful Pokémon with fins that billow elegantly in water. However, don't let your guard down around this Pokémon—it could ram you powerfully with its horn.
"This Goldeen is only a baby and is not ready for battling". "So, now we pay more attention to our water shows," said Daisy "but don't worry we know what you want. Come out, Seel". A little white sea lion popped out of the pool. "A Seel" said Yui as she pointed her pokedex towards it.
Seel, the Sea Lion pokemon.
A Pokémon that lives on icebergs. It swims in the sea using the point on its head to break up ice.
The Seel pulled out its tongue and showed something blue. "Since all you want is the Cascade Badge," said Lily, taking the badge off Seel's tongue, "you can just take it". The Cascade Badge was a blue badge in the shape of a rain drop.
Yui feel very disappointed at what they said but she can understand the circumstances. 'Maybe I could wait till they're ready for battle.' Thought Yui.
She was just about to have a word with them when a voice said; "Don't even think about that!" It was Misty. "For goodness sake Daisy, are you trying to ruin the gym's reputation?" Said Misty angrily as she stomps her feet towards them. "Why hello Misty, have you become a great water Pokémon trainer yet" said Daisy teasingly. "Yes, you did said that you wouldn't return home until you've become one" said Lily. "I did say that, but since you are planning to give out badges for free, I've got no choice" Misty look ashamed not able to fulfill her promise but soon look up in conviction. She turned to Yui. "Yui you will have to battle me to earn the Cascade Badge". "Fine with me Misty" said Yui.
She was glad to not wait for the Cascade Badge.
Misty explained "The battlefield is the pool and we would use two Pokémon each. Is that acceptable?" Yui give her a nod. Then Yui asked Misty "Hey, Misty can I let Dia swim in the pool while we battle." "Sure, I don't mind." Said Misty. Yui released Dia in the pool. Yui said "Dia could swim around in the pool, while I battled the gym leader." Diamond understood and went for a good swim in the pool.
Yui stood on a red platform, while misty stood on a blue one. The battle was ready. "I calls Staryu" said Misty. Her brown starfish was ready to battle. Yui choose Tsubasa to have the first battle.
"Staryu use Water gun!" shouted Misty. "Tsubasa counter it with Twister." The shot of water clash with a tornado that canceling each other power and make a rain inside the gym. "Don't give it a chance! Tsubasa quick Thunder wave!" Order Yui as Tsubasa let out Thunder wave paralyzing Staryu. "Follow up with Extreme speed!" Shout Yui as Tsubasa basically vanished and appear in front Staryu and slam her body at the middle jewel.
Staryu crash to the water it's jewel start blinking. 'Oh dear Staryu is hurt badly' thought Misty. She was amazed that Yui's Pokémon is very strong but then again she had trained all her Pokémon really well.
"Staryu use Swift" said Misty. The stars from Staryu hit Tsubasa making her fly back to Yui's platform. Misty's sisters were watching the battle from aside. "Misty's good with this" said Violet. "Yeah," said Daisy "she may not have our looks, but she has better battling skills than us." Seel was enjoying the match and was clapping its fins.
"Are you alright Tsubasa!? Can you still continue?" Ask Yui worried. Tsubasa stand up and give Yui a determine eyes that show her will to continue to fight. "I'm okay! Let's continue!" Said Tsubasa fiercely in her battered body.
Yui give her a kind smile before nodding seriously "Then use Extreme speed to close up!" Tsubasa obey Yui command and move in front Staryu tackle it before Misty able to say dodge. "Follow up with Iron tail!" Yui command. Tsubasa make her tail glow silver white and slam it on the Staryu gem instantly knocked out the Staryu as it gem become dull.
Tsubasa drop down to the water exhausted but being catch by Dia who have been watching the match while swimming. "You did a wonderful job." Said Diamond smiling happily at her sister achievement. "I'm glad..." Tsubasa let out weak smile before knocked out too.
Yui smile at her Pokémon short conversation. She pat Tsubasa head gently not to wake her up then she whisper to her ear "I'm proud at you Tsubasa." Tsubasa let out a content smile and fell into a deep slumber. Yui then return Tsubasa back to her pokeball and thanks Dia for catching Tsubasa before telling her to back to swim.
Yui look at Misty and see her returning Staryu back to it's pokeball. "Well Yui you battle really well, as expected. But this battle isn't over yet." Misty calls Starmie a big purple starfish came out of the pokeball. "Starmie?" Ask Yui, taking out the pokedex.
Starmie, the mysterious pokemon.
The evolved form of Staryu. Its central core glows with the seven colors of the rainbow. Some people value the core as a gem.
Yui took out Rai's pokeball. "Rai show me your power!" Rai come out from his pokeball with body covered with high charge electricity and a wide excited grin spread on his face. "Finally my turn! I can't hardly wait!" Shout Rai as electricity run out from his red cheeks.
Yui and Misty were just about to have Rai and Starmie fight each other, when a large machine crashed into the gym. "Where did that come from?" shouted Misty. "Ha! Ha! Ha!" said two voices.
"Prepare for trouble," said Jessie.
"Make it double," said James.
"To protect the world from devastation,"
"To unite all people within our nation,"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love,"
"To extend our reach to the stars above,"
"Jessie,"
"James,"
"Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light,"
"Surrender now and prepare to fight,"
"Meowth that's right" said meowth.
"Since you're curious about our machine, we made it ourselves. And we're very proud of it" said James with a smirk. Yui realized that they were the thieves, who stole of those machine parts.
"Now to show you how this machine works" said Meowth pressing a button with a big grin on his face. A giant hose came out of the machine and started sucking up the water from the pool. "This is our giant vacuum and hose machine," Jessie explained.
"Hey that's our water!" shouted Daisy. "Give it back!" shouted Lily. "All right" said Meowth, with a smirk. Meowth pressed another button and the hose sucked out the water, hitting Yui, Misty and her sisters. Rai took cover in the air by using Fly and Starmie dived into the water. "Now it's time to suck up the water Pokémon" said Meowth. The hose sucked up Starmie, Seel, Diamond and Yui, who was also in the water. "Oh no!" said Misty. "Come back Seel!" said Daisy.
Both Yin and Yang immediately let out a loud furious growl. "How dare they!" Yell both of them as they let out an attack. "Shadow Ball!" Shout Yin as he let out a dark purple blob at the hose at the same time Yang stomp his feet to the ground that caused a quick earthquake then raise his hand up summoning many boulder then hurl them at Team Rocket "Rock Tomb." he said in cold voice filled with cold fury.
The dark blob hit the hose and dropping the Pokémon and Yui that got suck into the pool. The boulders hit Team Rocket machine and sent Team Rocket and their machine flying through the ceiling. "Team Rockets blasting off again!" shouted Team Rocket, as they disappeared.
With the help of Diamond, Yui was brought to the surface. In there Yui coughed and panting, knowing that she nearly drowned. Yui's Pokémon immediately come near her looking very worried. After she let it the water from her lungs and manage to calm herself Yui let out a weak smile "Thank you." Yin and Yang nod as they there worried glace to their trainer along with Diamond and Rai.
"Hey Misty what are we going to do about our match?" Yui asked Misty as she remember that they ware in the middle of battle when the Team Rocket interfere. "There's no need to continue it," said Misty "your Dratini defeated my Staryu fair and square. Then your Pokémon stopped Team Rocket from taking our Pokémon. I probably lose to your Pikachu. So, I present you with the Cascade badge".
Yui was happy to receive the badge even she was tired. "Thank you" she said. "I have to say Misty, you have proven to us that you are a good battler" said Daisy. Violet and Lily agreed to that. Misty was happy and thanked her sisters.
Just then Seel came up to Misty. "What's wrong Seel?" she asked. "Seel said he wants to go with you" said Yui. "Okay," said Misty "and I have some Pokémon I wish to leave here". She took out six pokeballs from her rucksack. "In these six pokeballs are Poliwags. I caught eight Poliwags a while after I left. Since the gym doesn't have any Poliwags yet. I figured I should leave six here for the gym, while I keep two for myself". So Misty kept Seel while her sisters kept six Poliwags. They bid farewell to Daisy, Violet and Lily and left the gym.
They met up with Brock sometime after exiting the gym. Misty told Brock about obtaining Seel and what happens at the gym. "Wow, so a lot has happened then" said Brock. "Yes," confirm Yui "now it's time to head for Vermillion City". So they left Cerulean City for Vermillion City.
