the preparation

 I woke up in the morning and I felt happy about the day that I have ahead of me. I hopped out of bed and within an hour I had showered and gotten dressed in my favorite hoodie and skinny jeans. I looked in the mirror and saw my dusty blonde hair in two french braids that went down to the middle of my back. My eyes were green and in some parts blue and brown. It was a rare eye color that nobody else that I know has it. I feel pretty self conscious about my eye color so I usually cover them with a contact lense. I put my blue lense in and smiled. I look pretty today. My apartment was clean so there was no need for any worry when they inspected it to see my living conditions. I looked at my google calendar on my laptop and it said that they were coming at ten and it was 8:30. I might as well cook a big breakfast to give to the inspectors. I know they are coming a long way and after my meeting they have the other kids meetings. After deciding that I would make breakfast I got to work. I made dough and shaped them into croissants and I put them in the oven at 350 degrees fahrenheit. Then I started to make pancakes with blueberries inside of them. I whipped up the batter and poured it on the skillet and thanks to putting pam on it made a sizzle and popping. When the pancakes were cooking I started to cut the ends off of the strawberry and put them on a plate with the cut end down. Putting them at the end of the plate tracing the plates circle shape. I flipped the pancakes then put blackberries tracing the circle shape of the strawberries. I did that with blueberries, raspberries, grapes, and apple slices. I took out another skillet and made bacon then I ate the first batch of pancakes because they were getting cold. When I was setting the table I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door to see the Mayor himself. He was young and he had black gelled hair with a muscular build. He was in a suit that was black and white with a black tie that went down to his belt. He had brown caring eyes with a pair of glasses tucked in his pocket peeking out slightly at the tip.
