Ch.23 Symphatize
As we arrived at our home, the Japanese inn, I looked at Chloe who was having troubled expression.
"Chloe, what are you troubled with?" I said with a concerned face
"Alex..." She paused for a couple of seconds and continued
"I... I have a secret... but I don't want to tell you about it because I'm afraid that the second I told you my secret, you will hate me." She said with fears in her eyes
"Just take your time. But know that I will not hate you just because of your secrets." I said with a gentle smile, Hey I know that Hostess of Fertility's workers have dark pasts but doesn't matter anything to me. The reason I want her to admit the secret herself because I want her to be brave facing her past not because I intrigued her to say it nor saying that I know that Hostess of Fertility's workers has dark pasts. If she wants to become strong I need her to face it herself, she needs to accept who she is.
Then I entered the Japanese inn and went to the onsen, then I just sat at the edge of the hot spring as I put my towels at my eyes. After all the drama I went to, I need to take a break, I mean I have never been in this kind of situation and I only used the anime, manga, and novel's knowledge which is pretty useful if I do say so myself.
This time Utaha didn't come to the Onsen, I think she is talking with Chloe and so I just enjoy the moment of silence. But I was getting drowsy every second and so I got up and bought a blue hoodie with the P for peanut's cartoon in the right chest side, it was a hoodie which I used in my past life, some comfortable shirts, some hoodie which only it's motive different with the blue one but the ingredients and the texture are the same, and some beach shorts. I wore my home clothes which are a shirt and beach shorts.
I went straight into bed, but that night the girls sneaked into my bed. What they didn't expect that they all 3 have the same idea, and so they bickered in a low voice so I won't wake up. At last, Utaha won but Ryuu and Chloe insisted to sleep in the same bed, the final verdict was Utaha was going to hug me meanwhile Ryuu and Chloe slept in the same bed with us.
Waking up to 3 beauties in a bed with you, what a life! Utaha noticed me that I had woke up and so she freed me, well she doesn't need sleep unless she wanted to. I scratched my eyes and stood up, I walked to the living room and took out a cup of tea. I drank it slowly and I went to the kitchen to cook some breakfast, I cooked fried eggs and also rice, the one I planted, I bought some spices that I don't have yet. Chloe and Ryuu just entered the living room and I invited them to eat breakfast, after we finished we just sat at the courtyard
"Well, how's your reunion been Ryuu?" I asked her, after the reunion, she changed a lot. Her cold aura became warmer even though it was still cold but she will accept people easier. her face which in the past devoid of emotion, have a smile now and then.
After I asked her the reunion, she just hugged me and muttered
"Thank you Alex."
"NYA! Let me hug Alex too!" Chloe tried to separate me from Ryuu but Ryuu just hugged me tight didn't listen to Chloe.
'Well, at least my days will be fun with the girls.' I thought
Then after a while, I got up and took a bath because I need to go to Hephaestus's Workshop. Us 3, me, Ryuu, and Chloe, went back to the real world, since Ryuu and Chloe didn't have anything to do they wanted to drop me off. I don't see the reason to reject the offer so I just went with it when we were walking, both of them grabbed my hand each like a mother with a kid.
FYI I'm still wearing the rubber band with 40x gravity and 3 thoughts meditating. After we arrived, Hephaestus looked at us from her shop and stupefied. Chloe and Ryuu said goodbye and went back, Hephaestus looked at me and said
"Who was that? your mother and her friend?"
".... Lovers to be exact." I said to her with a calm face, Ryuu and Chloe already had my tattoo so officially they are my lovers.
"Aren't you too young to have a lover? even 2 lovers?" She said with widen eye, her right eye was covered by an eyepatch so technically there's only one eye but later I will heal her but who knows right?
"Well I didn't do anything but they were the ones who wanted to be my lover and confessed it." I said truthfully
"..... *Cough* moving on, let's go kid." She coughed loudly and started walking to the workshop and so I followed her from behind. Then we started the lesson but I was intrigued by the fire Hephaestus used, I mean if I can get it or simply just learn the law of fire from it, wouldn't it be great? And so I asked her
"Hepheastus-sama that fire, is it the hottest one in this world?" I pointed to the fire, she widened her eyes again at my remark because it is the hottest fire in this world.
"Yes, it is the hottest fire in 'the' world. What do you mean in 'this' world?" She narrowed her eyes at me. I started to sweat, of course, my secret was being exposed by a Goddess, not a human. I mean I didn't think that the Gods and Goddesses here are so careful.
".... Do you believe that there's a being/God created this world or even the universe?" I asked, I need her to understand my situation first before she started to hammer me down.
"Of course, but what's the connection with the topic?" She said while preparing to bash me down, she has one of 3 most powerful Familia in Orario, and just if I hurt her or anything my head will be priced.
"Please just don't hurt me or anything!" I tried calming myself but no avail, then I tried to neutralize her.
"Just answer the question kid!" She ordered me
"What if... I was the same being or kin with him?" I said
"YOU !? YOU DARE TO POSITION YOURSELF THE SAME WITH THE BEING WHO MADE THIS WORLD?" She threatened me, and I'm not too good with being threatened by a normal guy, but a Goddess? I can't just threaten her back or kill her, I'm dead if I did.
"Look! I'm not supposed to say this but I need your trust, right? What if I said that I'm from the same world as the being who created this world and its entities." I said but I know this isn't enough so I continued
"But he and I are different as he is only an author who created this world while I am his reader who died and given another chance but I need to entertain the God who created us and made you to a reality not a book story anymore. Look I know how the future is but at the same time I don't want to mess up the timeline, so if you please can you believe me?" I pleaded her
"Wha-.... Then what do you know about me? You said you read the story so you must know about me." She said
"I know that Hestia is your only friend, she's the one who doesn't afraid of your right eye. That's why you treated her the best and i know she will be coming to the mortal world in 1 until 2 years." I said while looking at her eyes unmovingly. there was a couple of seconds of silence, she was
"Then look at my right eye if you want me to believe you!" She said seriously
"I don't want too"
"Why?! Is it because you don't have the nerve to see it yourself?" she said with a low voice
"Yes because I'm still a mortal and I know that I will not be able to see without fear striking me after, but at the same time I want to heal you. You are a pitiful Goddess, you are feared just because your right eye not because of your action or anything bad but only because of a defect. As a Goddess who lived thousands hundred thousands even millions of years, I see that in the story that you are lonely." I said with a gentle smile, She had the look of sorrow and sadness. I continued
"I don't know how God or Goddess can make it far like you but even me, a mortal, felt lonely even though there were people who I could talk with and play with, still it was lonely. And I have a lifespan where you, Hephaestus, are a Goddess, where you are an immortal." I said while keeping my gentle smile, she already had a glassy eye and i reached out to hug her.
"Come I know it's lonely but at least let some out." She kneeled and hugged me, she silently cried.
"Hephaestus I will try to heal you. I don't know what it will cost but it will be worth it, if I passed out or anything just search for those two who dropped me off." I said while caressing her head and letting loose the eye patch. I closed my eyes and put my left hand over her right eyes and started Healing spell.
<ALEX!! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!>
'I need to heal her, she already had enough sorrow, loneliness, and sadness. I can't help to sympathize her, Utaha I know this will injure my body even could kill me but I know the girls have ways to save me.'
Then I concentrated at healing Hephaestus's right eye as my magic was sucked dry yet the healing needed a lot more mana. And so I put all of my Free stats to Magic but it's not enough, then Utaha said
<Alex it will take all of your points to heal her eyes but the power will injure you severely even kill you. Just don't pass out because the moment you pass out you'll explode because too much power trapped in your body.>
'Just do it Utaha, make the girls search for points later hehe I want them to get stronger.'
Then I ended my thoughts and steeled my will to receive the power that Utaha mentioned. What I thought that the power would still be acceptable in my body because I had [Diamond Body Lvl 5] but no. The reality was the power is too much that I was getting choke and tried to catch a breath, the power was so suffocating I can't even get a hold of myself.
Hephaestus looked at me who was choking and trying to catch a breath, she cried and tried to stop me but I can't listen to her as I need to concentrate at my will. As time passes the power begins to become bigger, my body couldn't take it anymore and blood started to flow from my lips then ears then eyes. My internals also can't take it anymore, I started to cough blood but I clenched my teeth so I can at least get a hold of myself so I won't pass out. Blood started to come out from my skin pore, it was F*CK*NG HURTS but still, I held on.
Hephaestus looked at me and the fluctuation of power around her is getting higher, she looked at me, which is the source why the fluctuation is getting higher, she just cried at me for how much pain I held for her because she knows that if a normal person even if he was level 4 or higher in this situation he will pass out. Even if she knew I read about her she never expected me to sacrifice myself just for an eye.
After a minute my body was full of blood, my eyes were blurry at this point if I open them. My will was already broken at this point even a sane man wouldn't want to experience what I just had experienced, but I know I can't just pass out but I need to stay awake or I'll die. A mortal healing a mortal was not a big thing but a mortal healing an immortal or a Goddess, who had divinity and a body which been refined by their divinity, WAS TOO MUCH.
My mind only thought of 'keep healing her don't give up', that sentence was being repeated by my mind so even though I was in the brink of dying or passing out I could still know what I need to do.
The moment fluctuation of power ended, I passed out to her and my head landed at her shoulder.
