After they arrived in the Portals plaza, they went to the VIP section and took the portal to Neutral City.
Every village and city have a Portals Plaza and it connected the whole continent with each other. Because of the size of the Athrosh Continent, it was necessary to use the teleportation portals.
Neutral City, where they were going, is the only territory that does not belong to any Empire and it is the biggest city too and it was so strong that no Empire dare to conquest that place. It is a place that in some way was in the middle of all three Empires and connects the three empires together and regulates a lot of things of the continent.
The legend says that the City was the homeland of the strongest magician of the history of the continent. Even the continent was called after him, Athrosh Continent.
Athrosh was the only 9th Star magician in the history of the continent and the savior and the hero of the continent too. He lived 3000 years ago, and the legend says that he was the one who saved the humanity from the so-called Outsiders and he sacrificed himself for the continent too.
But after 3000 years he was only a legend and not everyone believes that he was a 9th Star magician, because since the beginning only a 7th Star Magician and a 6th Star Knight were recorded. Nowadays the strongest magician is only in the 6th Star and the strongest Knight is only in the 5th Star. So, a lot of people took Athrosh's legend as a good night story for little kids.
After a quick teleportation to Neutral City, the home of over 50.000.000 people and the home of the best Academy in the continent, they directly saw the change of the atmosphere. The city was so big that there are a lot of portals that only works to teleport the people inside the city.
And because today was the Mana Core Awaking ceremony, a lot of people from all over the continent rushed to Neutral City to try their chance to enter the Athrosh Academy.
Noah and his Grandparents then took another portal and they teleport to the Academy. In the entrance of the academy thousands of young boys and girls in the age of 15 years are waiting in lines for the officially begin of the Ceremony.
You could see the security and proud of the young boys and girls in their faces. It was normal, because they were the best youths of their cities or villages, and they were sure that they would join the academy for sure. But the reality was hugely different, right after the magicians in charge came, they began to cast a spell and right after of casting the spells, a quarter of the young girls and boys were sent flying out. An old man, who looked like the chef of these magicians said:
"Every year it is the same, people over 15 tries to join the awaking ceremony, but they don't learn that we can detect him. I hope that the youngsters here don't try the same in the future if you fail."
The old man talked seriously, but there was a bit of arrogance. Then he continued.
"The Awaking Ceremony will begin right now. Every line shall follow one of the designated instructors and I wish you luck."
Instantly the old man disappeared and the instructors who were behind him began to take the line of young girls and boys and bring them to the Awaking area.
The line where Noah has a woman instructor and she took them to a different area, where nobody could enter. His grandparents had to wait outside, but they were happy to wait outside for their grandson.
In the Awaking area the woman began to make groups of ten and then she escorted them to an altar. This altar was where the students awake their Mana Core and can officially choose what to be. The altar gathered a huge amount of mana and stimulate the sleeping Mana Core to awake it.
Noah was in the first group surprisingly, he thought that he would be one of the last ones, because he came late, but no he was in the first group.
"Come Noah don't be nervous. You know that you are a genius and you will become a knight."
Noah was talking to himself to calm himself and he tries not to look nervous in front of the others.
Then the female instructor said:" The awaking will endure exactly one minute and you. Your Mana Cores must awake in this time. As faster you awake as better will cultivate, but if you cannot awake it in one minute than you fail. Let us go, we don't have enough time."
Right after she said that the first group went up to the altar and then a huge amount of Mana began to gather there and to enter the bodies of the young girls and boys.
For Noah he did not sensed the Mana entering his body at all at first. He was insecure about what was happening and only after 20 seconds he felt the first amount of Mana entering in his body. After 30 seconds the first one awakes his Mana Core and in the next ten seconds two others awake too. In the 50 seconds the last one awakes his Mana Core and then nobody awakes a Mana Core more.
Unfortunately, Noah was not one of them. He felt his world collapsing in front of him. So much training and so much dreams were gone in an instant and he could not move from his place. He the son of a knight and a magician was not able to awake his Mana Core.
The female instructor couldn't care about how the failing people were struggling and she shout:" Hey, the four of you who awake the Mana Core come to my side and the failing people can go out now from the academy grounds now. Please hurry, we can't stay here the whole day."
