Person_man It was a monster that was controlling their emotions! Erana was consumed quickly because she had an emotional reaction to Kenji's question. Kenji kept his cool mostly, but started to lose it when Erana started to attack him. Kenji REALLY cares about Erana though, so the concept of actually killing her was enough to make him stop.
