Chapter 4: Angered
The teacher had just sent me to the guidance counselor to talk about whats going on. I had no intentions of talking about anything. As i got to the couselors office, she said said, "Come in Daniel."
I walked in with a faked sad expression. "Hello Daniel. How are you doing today?"
"I am alright."
"Why don't you tell me whats going on?" asked the counselor.
"Nothing is really wrong. Just upset about the kids' death."
"Oh? How does the two children's death make you feel?"
"Angry," I say. I felt like i wanted to say more about it but I stopped.
"These two boys, they used to bully you right?"
"Yes."
"You know you can be honest here right?" How can she expect me to be honest when it could hurt me in the end?
"Yes."
"Then why don't you tell me how you are really feeling?"
"Because I dont want to."
"OK. Well I'm going to recommend your parents to send you to a psychologist to help talk through this. Its not healthy to keep feelings buried."
"Ok."
"You May go back to class if you have nothing more to say?"
"No I'm ok."
"Alright then. Have a better day."
"Yes ma'am." I started heading to class.
The rest of the day, I did what I was asked and went to my room. In my room was my lego T-Rex. I took him apart and created a new dinosaur, the velociraptor. One of the fastest dinosaurs on record. I stayed as close to the actual color scheme on record as possible. When I finished it was time for bed and I went to bed gladly. During the night the dream reappeared. This time, I took some time to look at my appearance. I was the velociraptor. I could feel a smile cross my face. I started to run. I ran for miles and miles. The rush felt amazing, the speed. I made the decision to make a little visit to Ben's place. Brad would be next.
I dont know how I know where he lived but I got there very quick. The building was about the same as AJ's house. It was run down, but this time, there were a few more electronics here. I felt my body start to shink as I gently lift the window. I did my best to stay silent to avoid any interruption of sleep. Once the window was open I slowly crawled through the window. My tail sliding across the sill into the room with me. My body started to stretch and grow back to its original size. My mouth isn't as big as the T-Rex mouth so I couldn't bite his head off this time. Instead I jumped on top of him and ripped his face off and throat before he could scream. Blood flew everywhere. The bed began to soak all the blood in but the smell was intoxicating. I lowered my nose to blood soaked sheets and locked it. It tasted good. I started to eat the body and I couldn't stop. Once the body was bone, I began my shift to leave the room. I shut the window as I left. And my sight grew even brighter.
My next stop was Brad's place. I had a taste for blood and I wanted more. I left his yard and went next door and did the same thing. I slowly lifted the window but this time it was locked. Taking a good look in the window I noticed that Brad wasn't in his room. This was my one shot so I went around the house and tried all the windows. I finally found one that would open and slid in quietly. I went to Brads room and sniffed his scent. It was terrible. I checked around the house but I didn't find him anywhere. His parents weren't even home. The house was abandoned. I felt very disappointed in my discovery so I left out the way I came and went home. Along the way I took a dip in the pond to wash the blood off and then went home so I wouldn't track any to my house. Hours later, I wake up in bed exhausted. It makes sense to a degree. I was dreaming a very vivid dream but I wasnt awake. Was I?
I walked down stairs and slumped at the table. My mom had a very concerned look on her face. "Maybe you shouldn't go to school today. You look about to pass out!"
"I am mom. I didnt sleep well last night." I replied very sleepily.
"I will let your principal know that you are not well. Go back to your room I will be up in a little bit."
"Ok." I turned around to back to my room when a flash of red crossed my eyelids. "Ahh!!" I screamed. Mom being in the kitchen talking to the principal heard the scream and came running.
"What happened?"
"Nothing. I'm ok. Just thought I saw something."
"Alright thats it. Go get dressed you are going to the doctor."
"Oh but mom! I just need some sleep," I started to complain.
"No buts now March. We're going to find out why you are not sleeping well," mom demanded.
Not wanting or having the energy to argue, I dragged my tired butt back to my room and slipped into some comfortable clothing. When I was finished I was half tempted to just bounce down the stair on my rear end but then I knew my mom might think something is up. So I resorted to walking. When I got downstairs mom had made waffles and we took them in the car with us. I wasnt hungry but I tried to nibble on them a little. Right when school was supposed to start, we arrived at the doctors office.
