Chapter 397: Chapter 397: Disappointed

Lloyd's POV

He pushed his hand against it once again, but the barrier didn't budge even an inch. The quake had stopped within minutes, and by the time that he had reached the border, it seemed like the spell wall was back to normal. Lloyd sighed in relief. Though he couldn't get through, it should mean that Elize was alright at that moment. 

He turned to the puddle that he had just emerged from. It was one of the few puddles that had suddenly appeared on the Island after the quake. He could sense that the water was creeping up the soil by the minute. The quake must have put some cracks onto the landmass, he thought, stepping into the water body.
