Chapter 338: A Good Opportunity For You

Claire did not get last place but she was in the last hundred or so people to cross the finish line. Still, an incredible feeling of accomplishment flooded through her as she got her official time, medal, and t-shirt.

Alex got someone to take their picture so they could hold their entwined hands up in a victory pose while wearing their medals. Her smile was weary but victorious. She had done it!

Once they were home and showered she sat on the bed looking through her bucket list. So many more of the items had been crossed off since meeting her husband than she would have been able to get done in the same timeframe, including random ones like 'have something be named after me.'

Because of him, she ended up having ten people take on her last name even if only two of them ultimately kept it. She had accomplished that particular goal several times over.
