Chapter 176: An Excellent Field Guide

The Christmas movie had been completely forgotten by this point. There was far too much to do in preparation for tomorrow. 

"We need to talk to Ray; he should be off work by now," Claire reasoned. "You need to know all of the things he did to become a normal anyway so whatever list he comes up with will be a useful thing to have. 

"I know some things you need to do but there are probably others I wouldn't even think of because I haven't gone through it myself. You were right to tell her he was a better resource. And hey, you'll be halfway to having the identity you want! Isn't that great?"

Alex didn't seem all that happy about it. "I suppose so."

"What's wrong?" she asked, confused that he wasn't more excited about this. 

"I'm concerned with what Carmen said about Four. I can take him in a fight if necessary but don't want to cause a scene in public. I'm also disappointed that this is the only way because I don't want any other last name."
