Chapter 62: Decoding Skills
As Zash got out of the Dragon Trial Zash saw Flo and Zeke staring at him like a madman whils't it wasn't unexpected it still seemed shocking for the both of them to see a Tierless being defeat a Tier 4 Dead Devouring Dragon which in itself was a calamity bringer for the entire world which was to be dealth with as quickly as possible. Enemies so not in their wildest dreams had they thaught about being able to kill it completely due to the vaste amounts of insanely powerful skills he had gathered up by devouring his enemies making him a Psudo-Immortal being controllable yet undestroyable
Should it escape it's bound to cause chaos in the mortal world. They were shocked to look at this everlasting problem dealth with by Zash also taking away a very major cause of stress away from them.
"Hahahaha boy I'm thoroughly surprised you not only cleared the trials with flying colours you also dealth with the problem which plagued us for many years. We can't thank you enough for that." Zeke laughed heartedly and looked at Zash with fondness.
"Wait so I wasn't meant to kill that dead Dragon in the first place ?" Zash asked confusedly.
"Look at you being smug. I say it's not always good to take everything granted you should stay humble chi-" Zeke's avatar was smacked by Flo who then stayed.
"Can't you see him being honest at all ? Ignore him Zash yes if possible you can say that, you see that Dragon was a plague which has a very sad beginning and end while we all pity him he was a living calamity waiting to grow and become something that we couldn't deal with if it was allowed to grow.
It was trapped here and used to measure one's potential by surviving against it for a while as you are a Tierless being merely surviving should have given you enough points to get a decent score along with a high purity of Dragonic Bloodline by the syatem. It's like a happy accident, you shouldn't feel bad for" Flo said while Zeke just considered what to say at the side
"That's great and all but was I at critical risk ?" Zash asked a bit special about this all and wondered what would have happened if something did go wrong.
"Hmm not much at worst you'd just lose 10% of your overall strength and a few things, nothing serious as we and the system are monitoring and were responsible for your safety but you surprised us nonetheless while surviving against a Tier 5 attack nonetheless. Well done " Zeke said while praising Zash once more.
"So what's the background for that being ? I could feel it's 'Desire' to Devour Everything else which came in contact with him and still had bits of not shreads of its conciousness remaining. What were the circumstances that let to that beast's creation ?"
"That's... Well it's nothing too exciting to get over.
The main body you saw of an Ancient Dragon who had a decent Bloodline amongst the younger generation from my timeline yet hungry for more power and great ambitions in mind, he left everything, his royal bearings, his responsibilities, his wife and kids and left on search in this vaste world as you know this world is Very, VERY BIG but that's just a fraction of the truth. In reality the world is even bigger if you take every single dungeon , secret places, Spatial anomalies which surrounds certain places, including the ''Island'' even I cannot give you an estimate on how large the world is and not much is known about certain places even now as such at that time there were many reports of humans and demons making name for themselves by getting numerous benefits by discovering and conquering certain unclaimed uncharted lands.
Little did he know that that'd be his greatest mistake ever.
He did discovered a long lost ancient land which was covered in dust and suffering as he walked towards the plains he came across many dead kingdom and remains of empires long lost in the passage of time due to various reasons and was even attacked by Monsters of various kinds from time to time barely surviving once he was forced to enter a certain place which corrupted one's flesh and made one lose his mind, as the Dragon had a few skills to protect himself he was still fine within the ruins but when he turned back towards the beasts who were chasing him for months were all gone while a few departing ones ran like the devil was on their tails, the Dragon then got curious as to what had them feared on that scale and without being able to hide his curiosity he opened the doors of the kingdom's Treasury which held a purplish hue emitting from within while a dreadful scene awaited his eyes, as the Dragon saw nearly Hundreds of Thousands bodies piled up in ways unimaginable dried bloodstained tiles which told of the slaughter which took place here seeming to aim for the object in the middle, while the catastrophic atmosphere was in a special room which was meant for preservation purposes it made the scenes even more horrifying as even demons would turn in the opposite directions running with hands above their heads.
The scene he described was dreadful enough as he said that he himself puked at the scene without being in control. Such a horrible experience would have had been enough to make him turn back but he continued walking and disgust towards the surroundings as the rooms had restrictions on flying he came to the conclusion that
'this kingdom may be dead due to unforseen circumstances or calamities or maybe a riot broke out and people instinctively ran towards the Treasury to either hide or Loot it out but even that was not possible as the people were Seemingly half dead and grostigue in appearance and mostly every object within the Treasury was untouched except for the object Every corpse was aiming for '
Smiling at his luck the Dragon wondered if he had found something precious which an entire prosperous kingdom died for which was so advanced to make such special arrays and chambers preserving the kingdom even up to today and left all its treasures for him to use as he was in the clouds dreaming for his bright future he was compelled to come forth as he in his dragon form disturbed the environment too much leading to dust and smell to flow about everywhere making him puke once more, covering his mouth with a mask the breathing was hard yet he persisted in his tracks and continued to march towards the bloodstained pathway in disgust looking at the corpses which while some had horrid expressions on their faces whils't some were fearful some were mourning also the Dragon noticed kids and guards being amongst the lead charging towards the middle
The Dragon got shivers down his spines and wanted to turn back now but it was like too late for that as...
He was still moving forward without being able to stop his feet and soon could feel the Qubelike object starting to corrupt him and soon he was able to piece out everything that may have happened, fearing for his life his previous confident was gone at that point, using Everything he still wasn't able to escape the Qube's influence and now visibly shaken he turned to his Dragon form which caused him to get covered in The Dead's blood but even then he wasn't able to get out for the situation and soon was staring face to face at the object which now was meters before his face, with horror I'm his eyes turning into greed his mind was screaming to get out but he wasn't able to do anything but shout No ! Constantly within his mind.
He grabbed the Qube with his hands which soon lost their liveliness and turned boney as the Seconds passed and then he Ate the Qube. That's when his mind went blank as he felt unimaginable pain within his core and felt it's structure change from all sides seemingly enveloped by an strong power which constantly shouted "Devour" within his mind and soon He Died.
As he Then got up the next morning the very next thing he remembers was getting out of the room nothing to look for while turning back he saw the mirage of the entire kingdom looking at him and seemingly got a lot of experience points and skills from an unknown origin the very next moment and wondered what had happened after he passed out looking at His hands he was in a state of shock as his hands were bony and his skin ripped and formed on various joints only covering his vital points of the body, soon shock turned to fear, fear turned to sorrow as he cried out loud.
Roaring meniachally he cursed his fate and the good life he left behind he was basically no different from a monster right now.
'it was their fault I was forced into this situation anyway ! I'll kill them all I'll Devour them all !' Said the Dragon Cursing the Monsters which forced him to enter the accursed place as he did as he claimed the very next second and was surprised to see a portion of his attributes increase along with a new set for skills he got ever so often from Slaying such monsters.
But none skill was able to make him get back what he had lost. He was a monster right now and a Strong monster at that but he still had a family and friends who he was confident would accept him for what he might have turned into and left the accursed land while leaving a seal behind which was later more solidified by us, anyways as I was saying.
He met up with a group of female adventures group which were first terrified of him but as he opened up to them and told what had happened to them they sympathised for him and helped him get back but unknown to him when he wasn't in control anymore as this power was slowly but steadily taking control of him and during his year long travel with the Adventurers he became familiar with everyone of them and travelled with them a lot soon his story spread like wildfire and people who liked to discover alone and such were cautioned against doing so as these information was collectively helpful. All was well and merry but only a month's time left to visit his family and friends he woke up one night a red light tinkering within his eyes and ate up one of his companions which soon got them to attack him, while they knew him well it didn't change the Fact that he wasn't himself and they were at risk but nothing they did was proven effective and soon the town they were staying at was Destroyed. Nothing breathing was left alive and soon the Dragons caught wind of it, due to this much killing he had gained many titles and things which made him an impossible opponent to win against, at least opponents who were in the same Tier as him as he went about causing mass histeria he faded in and out of consciousness but most of the times wasn't able to control himself as he was not the once in control at all and just wanted to continue ' Devouring '
The other Dragons tried to calm him down while some tried to kill him while his family members along with his wife and kids too tried to calm him but to their dismay the Dragon had already gone crazy unable to control his emotions and as he saw his family he spoke with a crazed look
' Welb e Toge-th-er SO9N ! ' which alone stunned them all as he wasn't even able to control himself and was on the pathway towards turning into an proper monster.
Killing his entire family he ate their flesh seemingly getting his wish to 'Be Together' with them for all eternity. Soon Tier 6-7 Dragon got wind of it and his carnage was stopped as he was a Tier 5 Dragon at the time and was merely a mile away from a Tier 6 they were right on time yet late as many MANY Lives were lost. Zeke continue while having a sad smile looming on his face.
His regeneration abilities along with the pluthora of skills he had absorbed from his victims were so vaste that only sealing him was optional and with a dragon elder sacrificing his life Created a special room in that long lost unformed dead zone for sealing him which was later used for testing the younger generations potential for a while as we are the ones chosen to bear witness over the young candidates. But now it's lost its needs." Zeke finally sadi as Zash understood everything.
"Isn't that somewhat bad still ?" Zash asked
"What part ?"
"The fact that the younger generation cannot get to experience the same combat I've got to experience ?"
"It's nothing major at all. If something I'm glad everything is finally over my niece can rest in peace now that the calamity had been dealth with." Zeke followed up and said
"Did- did he killed your family members as well ? "
"Well yes he was of royal bearings but after this incident his name was removed and turned into an forgotten one. While it might seem cruel to do so it is also a good thing as to stop from others from getting into his tracks."
"That's stupid ! " Zash argued.
"Boy try to understand the importance of the situation" Flo butted in and said.
"Elders think this through, people are ment to lay down foundations for the future even if his tracks are left cold there are bound to be people who will similarly fall in these circumstances just like him ! It's not a good thing to erase history like that at all. " Zash said while Zeke just nodded and looked at him.
"Now I never said anything about deleting history, did I ? We just removed his name from our heirloom history other than that nothing was changed everything else is recorded down in history. Though I doubt what amount of it is available for the future generations to get a hold of especially after this headache inducing information you've braught about" Zeke said to Zash.
"Cough* sorry senior it seems I misunderstood you still sorry to bring up that sad topic but it was necessary as I might better understand this and showed a solid chunk of metallic substances which quivered with unknown sources of Energy while being in a clump of Quantombots which continued to devour the very Devouring ability itself, both parties not willing to lose one bit which piqued Zeke and Flo's attention and got them to inspect the object as Zash's Level and tier was too low, him not being able to get anything out of this was understandable

Showing Zash the Skill's marvelous effects Zash too wondered that might become of him if he was successful in absorbing the skill.
"Zash Don't try to bite off more than you can chew it's very risky while the rewards seems beneficial you too might turn up into an undead who might become a major threat, and we might have to kill you." Zeke warned as Zash was his family member and he had already lost a few family members to this accursed power, most of all he didn't want to lose Zash as well.
"Seniors you mustn't forget I'm not reckless enough to try fusing with this skill right away especially after hearing what had transpired due to this. I'll be doing a little research on it first" saying so Zash conducted Tests on the object while studying the composition and Varios skills mixed with the ability, while Zeke was worried this was just his astral projection and along with the confidence he had in Zash, Zeke was somewhat happy yet worried about at the same time especially after getting a more visible look at this Accursed power which had the possibility to cause a great calamity.
Nearly 5 months had gone by as Zash was immersed in his research and especially after getting more close to discovering the basic skills structure behind every Skill's making Zash was able to understand more and more as time went on, yet not much was clear about the composition of skills within the Devourer Siphoning which was at the moment itself being controlled by the Quantombots.
The process was so slow and time consuming that it was annoying even Zash due to the difficulty as the problem was unique and the skill structure he could make our was mainly of basic origin premises and the Devouring Siphoning ability was somewhat unique in composition which itself consists of Devouring Ability of the purest kind whils't having traces of Oversaturation of Various kinds and a similarly unique ability Which was mostly useless. 'Necromorphisis' which turned turned one into an pile of flesh and bones while it was strong it wasn't practical in the least making it a waste if an ability.
Gaining insight on the situation Zash decided to delink the skill and Destroy it altogether, while it was an Strong skill it had no meaning to be kept for as such nearly after a year was Zash finally able to fully Destroy while being successful in delinking the skill with other bunches amongst it along with that he also came across many similar skills of such negative kinds such as ' Bewildering ' ' Mind Number ' ' Self-Cursebringer ' like WTF !? This was an pluthora of jumbled masses of Unique yet deadly Fuc*** Up skills ! Which did more harm to one than the enemy they might be inflicted upon.
As Zash was successful in cleaning the Devouring ability to its purest from removing every skillset which was similar to him like he was disassembling a bunch of jumbled wires from a bomb meanwhile From time to time he'd share the good news with Flo and Zeke who constantly praised Zash laughing heartedly at the miracles he braught before them as this time it was a big surprise for even them to overcome from.
As Zash became proficient in clearing out more and more of them his time and proficiency increased to the point that he gained many additional titles and benefits.

As always Zash spent all his free attribute points within his Luck Title now having 910+40 = 950 which system just gave him as he was the first being to ever get such luck a little bit didn't hurt him at all.
Along with other insane skills needed for Zash to help with the thinking part in clearing out the skillset for Devouring ability. Meanwhile time passed and nearly 10+ years had gone by within the Trial Chamber and Flo and Zeke would come and go hearing about the progress from Zash worried from him while one day of such they saw him again eating and tampering with the ability but this time they waited a bit not disturbing him and that's when he got up the molten liquid yet solid mass of metal was now in the Perfect size of a Qubicle which was surrounded by Quantombots from all sides towards the outlines at the corners giving a dreaded yet stable vibe which go them excited still not wanting to disturb Zash they just watched, as the very next moment they heard him going
"Whew~~ Finally !!! There were a lot of these unpleasant skills yet Devouring and Siphoning are the only useful ones !! Mmmmm!~~~ finally I can get a decent rest in years." Zash complained as he watched the stable yet dreadful energy before him he lazily spread his arms and legs cracking his bones up a bit tired with all the research.
"Congratulations kid you've done something crazy yet again." Flo said a bit shocked at the miracles this youth had pulled right in front of their eyes since the moment he first got to know of him.
"Haha thanks seniors can you please check the status for this object now if im Correct every skill aside from Devouring and Siphoning ability should be Destroyed by now there may be some unwanted skill, though I Highly Doubt there would be something like that." Zash Safi while Zeke just chuckle and asked.
"Why the hurry kiddo missing your wives already ? " Zeke teased Zash to which Zash just stood still and replied
"Yes" sadness clearly visible in his eyes this alone told them both what kind to person Zash was and how much he valued his family.
"Now now we've slowed down the time here it might not even be minutes since you've gone from the outside world. Don't worry, let's check this out shall we ? If it's still dangerous we will be highly against you acquiring this skill as no matter how strong a skill is it's of no use if it causes you to be dead in the first place. Nonetheless taking away an even more precious thing from us that is 'you' you have potential to grow way beyond our expectations you've proven that already as such please bear in mind that your actions affects us as well alright ?." Flo asked these questions as gently as Zash considered this all and just gave an understanding nod and handed the Qube in his hands letting Flo inspect it.

Though I doubt such a situation could occur due to you being 'YOU' along with that ridiculously high luck ! Anyways do as you like " Flo said as he proceeded to show Zash the exact copies of the set of words he could decipher from the system.
"Just take care of yourself kiddo " Zeke just said as he had nothing better to say about This Accursed power which was responsible for the death of his family members if it's gone with Zash getting benefits that's for the best but if it claims Zash as well he could barely live with himself.
"I'll be careful seniors don't worry." Saying so Zash looked at the screen for a while while it was a Heavenly skill which was basically a Permanent Life-Steal like ability for permanent additional benifits, it was much more randomised though but even so the very fact that luck factor was there it is dead set on stones that Zash was able to make the best out of the situations at any given time especially with 950 Amounts of Luck in his Attributes. Looking at the Qube Zash thaught
'Not much additional benefits were added yet most negative symptoms are gone, I forgot count how many useless trash skills I had to Destroy to get to this outcome. Though with a 75% success rate along with my luck alone it seems like I'm Cheating but even so I should still prepared for the fusion process'
"Now then shall we begin the preparations ?" Saying so Zash went about in his preparations.

COOLASH Hello everyone thanks for reading the chapter was supposed to be released on Sunday but due to personal health (not Corona) just a major headache I wasn't able to do much. I had spare hours of time on me I spent them entirely on writing the chapter and corrections. As I'm very passionate about my first ever Nobel which I'll forever adore how far it has come from.
Even so I've well surpassed myself as this one's the first chapter from This series to go well beyond 4382 words.
