Chapter 27: The Scene on the Black Forest
The scene brightly shone making Patricia squint her eyes, good thing she could moved her eyelids. The image was too bright for her. And so, the scene entered. The scene was full of thick black trees, and the night air have welcomed Patricia.
She was not on The Mistress's Office but on the black forest. She didn't know if she'll feel a relief since she wasn't in the same place. She rested on a tree trunk, later she found out the great black tree, as she was seeing her young self and Pariana lying on the ground.
There was someone standing a meter away from her, Patricia recognized him quickly. The built of the figure made Patricia certain that it was the grim reaper. Since she was closed to him, she felt her breathing have hitched, she could feel the cold aura around her, the aura of encountering death. And then she remembered she was imperceptible. There was nothing to worry about in the moment.
But still, the presence of the reaper intimidates her so she decided to walked away from him for good. And there was Peteriona, her eyes were bright red. Patricia passed the lying Pariana on the ground, in actuality, she could not help herself nor Pariana.
Peteriona fought the reaper then she would be eventually thrown away. Patricia went closer to her, wishing she could yell at Peteriona about her stupidity but then when she tried to speak, there were bubbles and she really wasn't audible.
She let out a sigh and there were tiny bubbles, floating in the mid air or actually in the underwater.
From near, she could hear the rustling of leaves and footsteps hurrying in the scene. Making their way to the great black tree was Ms. Taylor and Ms. Camilla, clutching their wands and looking authentically alarmed.
"I thought the portal isn't active." Yelled Ms. Taylor as she saw the reaper standing in front of the great black tree.
"I've checked it earlier, you did see it yourself, the portal is not open." Retaliated Ms. Camilla.
There was a deafening silence and they both exchanged gazes. Ms. Camilla gulped for a second then she close her eyes and appeared in front of the lying Pariana and Patricia, wand towards the reaper; she was acting like a shield.
Ms. Taylor teleported beside Peteriona, trying to stop her. Unfortunately, Pete wasn't listening and so, Ms. Taylor didn't hesitated to chant a dozing spell onto Peteriona. She then stayed airborne and Ms. Taylor teleported beside Ms. Camilla.
The Grim Reaper didn't moved nor reacted. But the situation didn't gave them the chill sensation in their spines. The situation was very alarming.
Ms. Taylor did the same thing to Pariana and Patricia, she levitated them in airborne. There were invisible barriers protecting the three, and still, the reaper didn't reacted. Patricia went closer to Ms. Taylor and Ms. Camilla, for she doesn't want to miss a thing.
But the situation made Patricia sad. Just the thought of being the first to became unconscious, and Peteriona was defending her and Pariana, made Patricia thought she was weak.
Patricia's attention was back on the reaper when she caught him raising his hand on level with his chest. A familiar move it is. She was sure the reaper will throw them out. But Ms. Taylor, in front of Pat, made a fast action, she murmured something and Patricia heard it clearly.
"I call thy Magi, Avatiana dwell unto me. Release your power and possess me, Hear me out, I say."
Patricia didn't understand a thing. Avatiana? Who's Avatiana?
Patricia was certain it was only her, the young her, Pariana, Peteriona, Ms. Camilla, Ms. Taylor and The reaper was around and no Avatiana. But wait, she thought.
Ms. Taylor said Magi. Could it be possible that Ms. Taylor is a Magi? Positive, she is really a Magi. The Mistress is the daughter of the powerful Guardian of Light and a Dark Magi, and The Mistress's daughter is none other than the deputy headmistress, Ms. Taylor. So there's a high chance Ms. Taylor is a Magi. 'And what about me? Am I a magi too?', Patricia thought. But before she could try to remember what have happened to connect the dots to answer her questions, Ms. Taylor caught her attention.
Ms. Taylor's suit shone brightly, she was like naked but unclear in the eyes. Swiftly, Ms. Taylor's figure was covered with a black and white dress. Patricia was astounded, she went in front of Ms. Taylor to see her front.
'Wow', it was all Patricia could utter. She was very amazed by what she was seeing. Ms. Taylor's skin complexion was like yin and yang. Her right side was covered with black; the dress, the complexion, it was all black. Her left side was covered with white, bright white to be exact.
There was a gem on her forehead, also resembles a yin and yang jewel. Her dress was different, it was more stylish and more revealing. Her blue eyes were intensely blue and there were butterflies around them both colored white and black.
Patricia could feel a strong aura around Ms. Taylor. She did not noticed Ms. Camilla, too, did transformed. Ms. Taylor's gazes were so intense, you were like being tortured, even Patricia who was imperceptible could feel it. Since she was in front of Ms. Taylor, she averted her gaze to Ms. Camilla while walking away. She was being ignorant by the scene since that was the first time she have seen something like it.
Ms. Camilla's dress have changed from a plain golden dress to an intense green coloured dress. There was a necklace hanging around her neck, having a glowing green jewel. There were glowing green arrows around their range, no doubt, was Ms. Camilla's. Her eyes were intense green, and there were glowing linings on her wrist.
In the short period of time, Ms. Taylor and Ms. Camilla build a sort of a defensive scheme against the Grim Reaper.
