Chapter 24: Le Memoire Liquide

Patricia's attention was on the woman who was wearing a golden toga. Her hair was perfectly curled down to her waist. She got this blue eyes like Ms. Taylor and so, she seated on her throne.

"I expected this to be soon. But not really too soon." The mistress spoked. Patricia forced a smile, she thought the Mistress was joking or was she?

"Patricia dear, Let's get this over with." The mistress stated in her cold-blooded voice, giving Patricia chills on her spine as the mistress look at her. Ms. Taylor, too, was looking at her. Her chest was pounding and she could feel a small dose of sweat rolling on her face. She may not knew it but she was feeling nervous.

"Ye-yeah sure." Stuttered Patricia.

"Take this, and dive in." Said The Mistress succinctly, handing Patricia a glass container that has a floating blue gasses inside.

Patricia took it reluctantly, and wondered what is it.

"You should take her on the outside of your haven, Taylor. I'm sure Avatiana won't mind." Said The Mistress.

Patricia was still clutching the glass container. She looked at it with great curiosity. The floating blue gasses revealed images of the mistress and Ms. Taylor and many unfamiliar faces she never encountered in her life.

Ms. Taylor snapped Patricia from her trance when she said they'll go to her haven. Patricia was about to Protest since Her office was on the ground floor and it takes 8 floors to walked on to get in there. Plus the fact that she haven't ate anything since she devoted the rest of her morning looking for her best friends. But Ms. Taylor already drew closer to a wall in the mistress's office and muttered incantations.

Soon, the wall faded and the hall from Ms. Taylor's secret haven was seen. Ms. Taylor entered and The Mistress beckoned Patricia to go with Ms. Taylor.

She got on her feet and followed Ms. Taylor. She stepped into the hall and assumed they'll be making potions with the glass container in her hand.

She wandered off her eyes in the place, except for the floating books, the golden table with a conspicuous book on the middle, the cauldron, some occupied jars, there were no signs of Ms. Taylor.

Patricia wheeled outside, she found Ms. Taylor there beside the Lake, standing.

She walked on the archway of roses that is place outside the doorway, leading to the garden surrounding the lake.

As she arrived beside Ms. Taylor, Ms. Taylor spoked.

"Pour down Le Memoire Liquide in the lake." Said Ms. Taylor to Patricia.

"Pardon?" Patricia asked as she did not really understand what have Ms. Taylor said.

"The memory liquid." Stated Ms. Taylor.

Patricia looked at the glass container in her hand. So this is a memory liquid, she thought.

"You mean this?" asked Patricia for confirmation, showing the glass container.

"Yes, now pour it into the lake." said Ms. Taylor calmly.

She did what she was told to do. The blue gasses became a liquid as it collided with the lake's cooled water. Now what?

"Take a breath and dive in." stated Ms. Taylor.

"Wait---what?!" shrieked Patricia.

"You'll dive in there." said Ms. Taylor as she looked at the lake.

"What about my robes. Of course I know how to swim but I'll get wet." explained Patricia.

"Don't worry, you won't." Replied Ms. Taylor.

"I won't get wet? It's water you know."

"You have my word. Now, I'll say few things before you'll dive in there." stated Ms. Taylor, still looking at the water below.

"Accept everything you will know." Said Ms. Taylor.

"Ms. Taylor, Pariana and Peteriona mentioned about me doing a big job in a dangerous mission." Interupted Patricia.

"It's true." confirmed Ms. Taylor.

Patricia continued, "Well I'm going to remind you, I'm an ordinary wizard. I'm not like Pete and Par with beasts. I'll get wear off easily and I don't think I'm even deserving to do it or even I have the adept skills to actually perform it."

"And so?" Ms. Taylor asked again. Patricia stared at her blankly, frustrated since Ms. Taylor didn't get her point. The actual point.

Patricia let out a deep sigh and stared at her reflection in the lake's water. She thought about what Ms. Taylor said a seconds ago, 'accept everything you will know'.

"Are you sure this won't make me wet?" asked Patricia to Ms. Taylor.

"Positive." Replied Ms. Taylor shortly.

She was hesitant for a while, she decided to take off  her shoe and her pair of socks to be sure and so, with a deep breath, she dive in with the splashing sound in the background.

The cold water embraced her as she made contact with it. She was about to move her arm to swim but she couldn't move a thing; she was sinking to the depths of the lake. But she was breathing, she was fine apart from not moving at all.

When her toes felt the lake's ground with the sands and stones, the dark blue liquid above her started to shimmer in sky-blue.

It was like a scene where the night was having a meteor shower but it's underwater. A group of sparkling sky-blue balls were coming towards her and intently hitted her.

Instead of being hurt, the whole blue scene within her range vanished in a flash and she saw her young figure in The mistress's office, sitting.

She was looking very pale as her usual skin complexion. Her hazel brown eyes were staring in space, and her semi-golden hair was bushy as ever. The present Patricia could move now, she could hear someone else talking inside other the door in the Mistress's office. She touched its doorknob but her hand slip through, she move through the door and found her grandfather, Thomas and Ms. Clara Laura. They were talking staidly about a serious matter, later she found out about her.

"I'm going to give her under your care." Said Mr. Thomas in his deep voice.

"Okay Romulos, but where did you find her. I thought she's dead?" Asked the mistress in her ever calm voice.

"I even thought so. But a healer in St. Rita's owled me about the young Hayes. Her mixture of blood was different. A magis' blood was within her and the blood of a gold wizard." Started Mr. Thomas

"I thought the young wizard was the usual 'hald-blooded', but she wasn't. Her blood of a magi is whole and a half of Gold. We can still call her a half-blooded, the healer stated and eventually I found myself at St. Rita's Green themed structure."

"And the first glance I ever gave her made me sure she is a Magi. A dark Magi could feel any dark aura, I believe you could feel it too, the strange aura coming from her, Laura."

The mistress nodded as from the look of it, was convinced.
