Chapter 5: The Golden Beasty Wizard
Magic Showdown//
Trumpets were blown, the whole students are filling up the arena,
And Confetti's are all over the place. Pete, Pariana and I are just standing around the corner waiting for a sign when it's time for us to fight.
"How are you two feeling?" Peteriona asked while twirling her hair.
"I'm good" Pariana Responded
"Same" I simply said
"It looks like this whole thing will be a piece of cake." Peteriona uttered
"Well, I agree with that" Pariana Replied
Peteriona and Pariana gave me a questioning look.
"Feeling nervous?" Pariana asked me
"Nah.." I disagree
"You can't fool us." Pete said as she pat my shoulder and so did Pariana
"Don't worry, I know you can handle it. For sure you'll win, Swear." Pariana said and gave me a smile that reassures my winning.
"Okay then, I'll just try my best." I reassure
"Yeah We all gonna try our best." Pariana responded
"It's not yet our turn, how about we all three watch the showdown." I spoked
"Come to think of it, that's a great idea!" Pariana exclaimed
"What are we waiting for, let's go!" Peteriona Lead the way and we seated not so far away from the 'field of honor'.
The fight just started between Cara and Akio. From the looks of it, Cara applied 'Inspecto Bue' on her body, while chanting 'Inspecto Bizzardo'. Akio countered the attack, and teleported behind Cara. Akio transformed his wand unto a knife and stabbed Cara with it. The 'Cara' that was stabbed appeared to be a clone, and the real Cara popped out from nowhere and defeated Akio with Inspecto Bizzardo.
The Belson (A) section went wild, and cheered Cara for her Victory.
The announcer announced the next fighters, and the fighters step in the 'Field of Honor'.
Joshua Anne and Trixie, both from B Section. The battle was not very interesting, they were just casting spells unto each other. In the end, the Masters Called it a Draw.
While we are busy watching the showdown, Ms. Annalie, also a professor, signaled us to come to the waiting area.
We three looked at each other and just nooded. We three stand up and went to the waiting area.
"This is it." Pariana initiated
"Yeah, totally agree with that." Peteriona said as she stretched her hands up on the air and begun floating.
Pariana did the same, while I touch the tip of my toes without bending my knees. And after that, I outstretched my arms and began floating beside the two.
When we three are in airborne, we positioned ourselves in a sitting position.
We meditate their in silence. Few minutes have passed Ms. Thompson, the campus librarian, told us to get ready.
"Peteriona Ethereal Rose." Ms. Thompson stated as she was busy reading a long list.
"Here" Pete said as she raised her hand
"Lina Montague!" Ms. Thomson shouted as Lila and her 'goons' have arrive in the waiting area.
"Present Ms. Thompson!" Lina shouted shyly And gave Pete a glare. Seriously?
"You two are next. Proceed!" Ms Thompson vociferated.
"Good luck." Pariana said and gave Pete a hug.
I tap her shoulder and we both nodded.
"I guess I'll be seeing you both right after the show---- down!"
Pete smiled and proceeded with Lina unto the 'field of honor'.
Pariana and I watched the big screen here in the waiting area and seated on a golden couch.
The students were cheering for the both contestants as they have entered the field.
"Here on out right, we have Mademoiselle Lina Montague from the Belien." The host said as he introduced Lina.
"Here on our left, we have Miss Peteriona Ethereal Rose from the Belson."
"Wizards, let the showdown commence!"
Lina casted Inspecto Bizzardo but Pete Dodge it. Lina smirked and chanted a new spell. For the mean moment, nothing have happened.
"Above you!" Ellah Tray from Belson shouted
Peteriona then casted Inspecto Bue to block the spell. In a mere moment, Pete teleported behind Lina and was about to touched Lina by her wand when Lina freeze Pete.
"OMG" Pariana said emphasizing the 'g' sound
"And the winner is---" the host was about to announce Lina as the winner but the Freeze Body of Pete move and the Ice that trapped her broke into pieces and there, Peteriona was free.
She was flaring with flame of fire and Ice.
Peteriona's eyes were red and her hair color became blue-violet. Her wands are not insight. And the atmosphere have change. Seems like we're trapped between a 'cold and a hot' temperature.
"You think you can defeat me?" Peteriona then smirked
"Not a chance." She stated as in her right hand appear a ball of fire , and on her left a ball of ice. She put them together and attacked Lina with it. Before her hand lands on Lina's body, quickly, Ms. Camilla teleported and grabbed Lina away from Pete. The whole thing from Pete hands exploded and the field was destroyed. I meant totally destroyed!
Peteriona collapsed on the destroyed field after.
"F*ck no!" Pariana said and attempted to Teleport to Pete
"Stay Pariana Ayesha Rose! You too Patricia. No one should leave this area, no one." Ms. Thompson commanded
"We'll stay here for good, don't worry about Pete, the Medics are there and Ms. Therapethia. She'll be fine, trust me." I said to Pariana who's now filled with Rage.
"That Lina has something to do with this and I am very sure of it!" Pariana said firmly, trying to relax herself.
"What do you mean?" I asked her
"Remember when we were 9?"
"Go on." I said
"The time when we three wandered around Alandrea with Ms. Taylor and Ms. Camilla and we all stayed on the cabin that Wednesday night."
I simply nodded by what she've said. Trying to reminisce what have happened that 'Wednesday night'.
"We went to the near forest when Pete discovered she was good at making fire."
*Flashback*
Pete, Par and I have escaped the cabin and now we are heading towards the black forest. Having Peteriona Lead the way with the fire in her hand, we three have passed the great black tree until, such creature came----- and ruined the night.
"Who are you?" Peteriona bravely asked while Pariana and I stood beside her.
"Pete, don't talk to strangers." Pariana whispered
The unknown creature did not responded. Steadily, it stood there like it did not see us.
"Probably the miss are finding us in the moment. Let's just go back." I stated after I saw the creature's eyes.
It was nothing in there but black,
The creature was three times our height, and it was very big actually. It's like a grim reaper with a scythe.
"C'mon you two." I then grabbed their hands and we three ran.
"What was that?" Peteriona said
"I don't know. But my guts says we should get out of here fast." Pariana said as now we have passed the great black tree.
"Wait, was that 'the great black tree' ?" Pariana asked and Peteriona and I stopped.
What was she doing?
"Pariana what are you doing, we have to hurry!" Pete yelled at Pariana who's now staring at the tree.
I was two steps ahead of them, when Pariana pointed the top of the tree.
"Pat, Pete look up." Pariana stated as Peteriona and I looked up.
I cannot see it very clear since fogs are all over the place.
"What the hell is in there, I can't see." Pete protested.
"Let's just go, we're wasting our time for this." I said
"No, stay the both of you. And look." Pariana commanded
"I can't see a thing." Pete said as she was looking up.
"Me neither." I retaliated
"Guys, watched closely." Pariana said and pointed out her finger.
Pete and I look to where Pariana is pointing. It was not clear actually. Until the clouds have moved and the moon lit up the scenery above. I can merely see a shadow of a ----- grim reaper?
And an earsplitting sound was made and we three covered our ears.
"Let's get out of here." Pete said and we three nodded.
I was about to run when a voice wandered off around my head saying "half-Blooded" on the very not mellow voice.
"Pat what are you doing let's go!!" Pete exclaimed and she grabbed my hand but I can't move my body.
The sound became louder and louder and it's seems like it's wrecking my head. The reaper jump from off the tree and step closer to me.
He extended his hands, and in a blink of an eye I have fallen to the ground. My vision was closing off as I can hear Pete and Par calling out my name.
*End of Flashback*
"What about it? What happened?" I said
"Well after you have collapsed, Peteriona was in Rage she attacked the grim reaper with the fire she's holding." Pariana calmly stated
"And then? Did she defeated it?"I asked
"Nope, she was eventually thrown 5 meters away from us. I don't know what to do that time, my two friends were lying on the ground. -------Until the same that have happened earlier happened. The temperature have change, feels like we're in the middle of a hot and a cold climate. I'm not really sure since it's dark but I'm pretty sure I saw her hair color changed and her eyes became red. She was a holding a ball of fire and a ball of ice on her hands and she attacked the reaper with it. The damaged by the attacked was very great and I collapsed by the impact Peteriona have done. Ms. Camilla said to me after, that Peteriona's beast was awaken that time that's why it happens." Pariana said to me as we were sitting in the golden couch.
"What do you mean the 'beasts'?" I asked and was literally confused, I didn't know about this beast thingy.
"Peteriona has a beast, actually I have a beast too. Remember the time Ms. Taylor told us after practice that the three of us are amazing students?" Pariana told me
"Oh yeah, that was a compliment!" I exclaimed as I remembered Ms. Taylor's words of wisdom.
"Well, that was true. We three are amazing students, are gifted students. It is very rare for a golden wizard to have a beast. Those who doesn't have a beast are just plainly good at spell casting or they should have mastered it." She explained
"Beasts are very rare." She continued
"They are the half part of a wizard. Wizards who have beast are also alike to the half-bloods. But half-bloods are the composition of a magi and a wizard, they are extremely powerful than the golden beasty wizards. In Peteriona's behalf, she has the beast of the algid and searing princess, Princess Fircol." She continued
The thought about this golden beasty wizard thingy now sinks unto my brain. What if I have a beast too? What's my beast?
"And do you know?" Pariana asked me as she stare into my eyes.
"What?" I retaliated
"We encounter this beast everytime we encounter Peteriona." She directly said
"But how could that be?" I asked. I mean we are living with a beast. Is she talking nuts?
"Well I don't know, that's what Ms. Camilla told me, but still, Peteriona is Peteriona. The beast inside her is just sleeping within herself, waiting to be triggered or if the wizard became weaken or lost its consciousness. It is like the guardian of a wizard. Once you're in a near to death situation, Your Guardian will appear." She said
"Oh" I said in disbelief. I mean this is all new to me. You can't expect me to believe all of it in just a mere moment.
"But what's the thing about Lina, You told me earlier, ---that she has something to do with this?" I asked Par
"Beast can be awaken if the wizard's body will be weaken or.." she paused
"Or what?!"
"Or the beast senses a black magic." Pariana stated as she moved her gaze to Lila and Lily who's both in the waiting area.
