Chapter 20: Moon and Stars
Kite Eleanor looked at the incoming Patricia, his mouth fell agape. Patricia bend down to get Kite's glasses. It was seriously need some repairing.
Patricia summoned her wand and said, "Reparo." And Kite's glasses looks good as new. Patricia hand it to Kite and Kite wear it.
"Thanks. You don't have to actually d--do it." Said Kite while looking at Patricia. She sit down beside him, looking at the tall trees from afar that's surrounding them.
"Well it's fine." Said Patricia and gave Kite a reassuring smile.
"Umm do you have a b--boyfriend?" Asked Kite, he did not watched Patricia but he was looking at the clouds towering the tall trees.
"No. I think being in a relationship is stupid." Said Patricia honestly.
"You think so?" Asked Kite, now looking at Patricia.
"Yeah. You, Kite, do you have a girlfriend?" Asked Pat. She wasn't sure why she've asked him but she was just returning the question.
"Not yet." Said Kite while grinning.
"Yet? Are you one of those fellas who wanted to be in a relationship too?" Asked Patricia with her eyebrows furrowed.
"Let's just say, I met a lady and she stole my heart without me noticing." Said Kite while looking at Patricia's eyes. Patricia thought they were saying something. She was like being drown by his gaze and was lost in Kite's hazel brown eyes.
"You--you think so?" Patricia stuttered while breaking the eye contact.
"I mean, let me meet her someday." Said Patricia while composing herself.
"Okay. I'll let you meet her when I got the chance." Said Kite, still looking at Patricia.
The two did not realize it that the sun was setting off since they were talking too much. The sun's ray touch Patricia's nose.
"It's getting dark." Said Patricia.
"Any minute now, the stars will come out." Said Kite.
And the stars did appear from sight. They shone perfectly and the cold night was perfect.
"They're beautiful." Patricia uttered while being mesmerized by the stars.
"You know what else is beautiful?" Asked Kite.
Patricia thought for a second.
"The moon?" Replied Patricia.
"Correct." Said Kite while beaming.
The moon was hanging with the dark blue pastel of the sky with the stars.
"I think we should go now to Easterian Hall for dinner." Suggested Patricia and stood up.
"Yeah, You're right." Agreed Kite. And he also stood up.
They both walked out of the Garden and headed to the Big Golden door of the school.
They both walked together towards the Easterian Hall. While they were walking on the hallway, there was a comfortable silence. Kite breaks it when he said, "Thanks for spending your afternoon with me."
"No worries. So friends?" Patricia stretched out her hand.
"Friends." Said Kite and they did a handshake.
The two reached the end of the hallway and said 'open'. The walls exposed a gigantic golden door and they placed their hands on it. The golden stairway has been revealed and they went down.
The two parted ways since Kite was on Blandestine and Patricia was on Pixiestail. When Patricia arrived at the table, Peteriona and Pariana were already there. But the foods aren't serve yet.
"Hey, what took you so long?" Asked Peteriona, when Patricia settled beside her.
"Just having some time with the nature." Said Patricia calmly. Peteriona and Pariana gave each other a teasing smile.
"With?"asked Pariana.
"With what?!" Asked Patricia irritatedly.
"With whom." Added Pariana then she grinned.
"With---errr--- the stars!" Said Patricia.
"And with.." Peteriona looked at Patricia with her spit-it-out look.
"The moon." Patricia said firmly.
"You're with the Eleanor guy earlier?--- I can't believe it! ----I knew it from the start! ---The two of you were something!" Kylee blabbered when she saw Patricia. Patricia turned to Kylee and gave her a warning look. Everyone in the Pixies Squad showed up since they were following Kylee from behind. They all settled themselves on the Pixiestail table.
"Are you a seer now, Kylee?" Asked Patricia sarcastically.
"Calm now, Pat. She's just overthinking again." Said Cana. Patricia rolled her eyes and Kylee flinched when she heard the word overthinking.
The dishes were serve when Ms. Taylor came with her golden cloak. And they ate their dinner. Patricia got Potato Pies and a pork steak, and she really enjoyed it. She doesn't know why she was annoyed earlier when Kylee said Kite and her were something. Plus Marco, he said Kite was her boyfriend.
Within herself, there's a sad thought lurking from the depths of her mind, and it was the truth that Kite and her were friends.
Patricia gave an unnoticeable glance to Kite. He was eating his dinner and he got a pork steak and a potato pie. A smile was carved on her face when she saw him having the same dish she was eating. Patricia turned to her right since she felt that someone was looking at her. It was Pariana, grinning.
"What?" Asked Patricia while acting she's clueless.
"Who were you glancing at?" Asked Pariana. Honestly, Patricia was afraid to spit out his name. She doesn't know why. Luckily, Vic Fuentes was beside Kite.
"I was looking at the Fuentes Guy." Said Patricia calmly, trying to convince Pariana.
Pariana gave her a suspicious look. And Peteriona, while eating her favourite hotdog and fish fillet butted in.
"Did someone say Fuentes?" Asked Peteriona while eating.
"Someone's obsessed." Muttered XiaoLong.
Peteriona rolled her eyes and continued eating. Patricia somehow lost her appetite. The fact that she lied to Pariana and hurt Kylee, her conscience started haunting her.
While looking at her almost finished food on her golden goblet, there was a loud slam-bang heard up on the golden staircase. Patricia turned her attention to the upcoming lady, she was hurrying down the staircase with her face covering with sweats. The other wizards were shock when they heard the bang, specially the Mantransceins who were eyeing the lady.
It was Ms. Juria Allen. The Hall fell silent, and everybody stopped eating. The attention was on Ms. Allen, the assistant of the deputy headmistress.
