Chapter 18: The Book and the Nigh Future
Ms. Camilla scanned the book Patricia have made. She was flipping it with an unreadable expression.
"So this is about the two of you?" Asked Ms. Camilla
"Umm. Kind of." Said Patricia, a bit uncertain.
Kite beside him was quivering while biting his lip. Patricia was eyeing Kite on her peripheral view, afraid he may say something about the book that Patricia conjured.
"And it's very detailed. A love story about you two. I think I'm going to keep this." Said Ms. Camilla while looking at the book, with that impressed impression.
"10 points for the both of you then." Ms. Camilla marked the output and leave Pat and Kite. She went to another pair of students and give their output marks.
Patricia looked around. Pariana
conjured a bird with Brent. Peteriona and Vic were doing great. And the rest of the squad were doing good.
Patricia turned to Kite. And Kite was looking at her.
"I guess this is thank you, Eleanor." Said Patricia.
"Tha----thank you too--." He was really really nervous. Patricia wondered why.
"Are you nervous?" Asked Patricia.
"No, no, no, I'm perfectly fine." Said Kite Eleanor trying to sound nice. But he was really nervous that time.
The two did not spoke much. And time have passed and the bell rang. Next sub is Defence against the Dark Arts. Just the thought of it makes Patricia sick. It was supposed to be learning about how to defend themselves, not writing some unfamiliar spells.
They were walking in the corridor, heading towards Mr. Corry Samuel's classroom.
The squad were talking about there partners on the activity in transfiguration a minute ago.
"John Michael was nice. But he was so good at neglecting me. I did tried my best to persuade him to work with me. In the end, I magic a portrait." Kylee blabbered, with that really annoyed impression.
"Braille was very nice to me. I don't think Blandestine is the worst house ever. They were really cool." Aimee Jade said, while smiling. Patricia was sure that Aimee is in love with this Braille guy.
"Oh yeah?" Kylee retorted, while raising her left eyebrow.
"Shut your mouth, Aimee. No one cares. They were totally assholes." Carhene commented.
"I agree with Carhene." Said Thinker.
"Thanks, thinks." Said Carhene.
"Well Vic was nice." Peteriona spoked.
"The Fuentes guy?" Asked XiaoLong.
"Yeah." Peteriona responded.
"And he's supper cool. But he's not my type. He's my idol but not my type, Okay?" Said Yang.
"What are you talking about." Said Peteriona
"What r yaw talking about." Said Yang, Mimicking Pete's voice while giving her a teasing smile.
Pateriona shrugged and turned to Pariana and Pat while Yang talked to Blake and Girlie.
"You were doing a good job with Brent." Peteriona uttered, while looking at Pariana.
"Yah. And the Fuentes guy?" Pariana retorted.
"He's great." Peteriona said simply, and break the eye contact. She turned to Patricia.
"How bout you?" Asked Peteriona.
"Well, we both did a good job." Said Patricia.
"Hmmmm.." Peteriona smiled. She was like teasing Patricia. Patricia noticed this and ignored Pete.
When the girls reached Mr. Corry's classroom, they settled themselves at the back. Mr. Corry was already there, he was reading a stuff from a parchment. It was very unusual since Mr. Corry was a fun of humour and he was reading the stuff with a serious visage. He rolled it and put it under the cabinet of his table, he must have finished reading it.
The classroom was now occupied by the first years of Mantranscein and Pixiestail. Mr. Corry stood up from his desk and walked in the platform of the room.
"Today, I may say an apology FOR we're not gonna write any SPELLS starting FROM NOW. I know, TRAGIC isn't it?" Mr. Corry addressed.
Patricia's mood have lighten up. She can see Par and Peteriona on her peripheral view, grinning. But who won't be in ecstasy? Maybe Cana cause she loved writing than performing. But the girls really didn't care since D.A.D.A is on the right track now.
"But what have provoked you sire?" Asked Nicole Austin from mantranscein.
"The students should know how to use the spells precisely. Since it will come in handy in the nigh FUTURE." Replied Mr. Corry
"Are you referring to The Golden Rebellion?" Belle Heartfilia asked tersely, she's also from Mantranscein. Mr. Corry's eyebrows have furrowed.
Before Mr Corry could react the whole students in the room were on their terrified faces. Some were in state of horror, but most of them are on Mantranscein. Meanwhile, the Pixiestail--- referring to the Pixies squad, since they were the only first years in P.T, were just shock not really terrified. Yang and Blake were talking out loud in the back.
"Is she serious, the Golden Rebellion-----" Blake said dramatically.
"No, I thought we're already free." Yang retaliated, cutting Blake off from her statement.
Blake was about to comment but Mr. Corry took his authority to shut their mouths.
"SILENCE" It was only a word. But it echoed on the room. Blake closed her mouth and the students attention were back at him.
"Next time, Keep your mouth shut---" strictly said by Mr. Corry while eyeing everyone in the room. Of course, everyone was taken aback since that was the first time Mr. Corry shut them.
"Especially you, Bella." Said Mr. Corry and Bella looked down. The fact that Bella was Mr. Corry's favourite student and Mr. Corry was dragging her down was very intriguing indeed. Was the situation very serious that Mr. Corry could make Bella ashame in a snapped or he was just being Professional.
"And the two of you." Mr. Corry referred to Blake and Yang, and both were nervous.
"I would imply that you'll keep your mouth shut and do as I say. I don't like questions to be specific. Now, kindly watch as I demonstrate the Cruciatus Curse." Said Mr. Corry and he magic a black small spider.
Everyone looked at the spider and their faces were blank. What? Patricia was about to chuckle, she thought the D.A.D.A is on the right way now. Cruciatus curse, sounds creepy but all it does was to magic a small black spider. Maybe it is a decoy, she thought. Or maybe not.
At the same time, Pariana was shaking on Patricia's left. Patricia and Peteriona looked at her with worried faces.
"Hey, Par---" whispered Patricia. Pariana looked at her and her eyes were widen.
"The curse---- the curse---- it's restricted." Pariana said while stammering.
"Restricted what? All it did was to conjure a black-----" Peteriona could not finish what she was talking cause Mr. Corry grabbed her attention.
"Now watch this." Said Mr. Corry, his eyes were looking at the small spider like he was longing to kill it.
"All you have to do is to Point your wand at an object or an organism and say the magic word--- 'Crucio'." Mr. Corry demonstrated. The small spider let out a small squeak and then it died. Like really.
"But don't." Said Mr. Corry, getting rid of the spider in just a flick of his wand.
"Don't use it on your fellow golden wizard." Said Mr. Corry.
