Chapter 9
Monday. A beautiful and fresh morning captures my eye. It is definitely a nice and perfect day to start making progress. I first jog to start my day. I had breakfast with everyone.
..."Father, mother. I will be gone for about a week. I want to train in Manshera mountain."
"Why?! Manshera mountain is very dangerous. Magic beast are abundant in that place. I won't allow it." -Mom
"Honey. You know that he always train. And he does comeback alive. And he is not a little boy. He is an adventurer." -Father
"Even so. I don't like him getting hurt. You don't always know what will happen. It is very unpredictable in that mountain." -Mom
..."I understand what you feel mom. How about this? I will not go alone. I will have Riri with me."
"Who's Riri?"
..."Oh. Riri is the girl that I bought last night at the auction house. And she is a slime girl. She is very powerful human beast. She can protect me in the mountains."
"I don't know. I am not sure if she can protect you out there. And she is just a kid."-Mom
..."How about we make her spar Jack Chan. We all know that he is strong. But Riri is stronger. If she won, you will agree that I will go to the mountain."
"Okay. Fine." -Mom
Slaves that are bought in the auctions are marked with a slave magic circle. It makes them follow all the request of their owner. Having an ill intent to their owner hurts their body with an electric shock coming from the circle.
Riri's magic restrictions are removed. She can now use her power in the fight. They both start really good. Jack Chan has advantage when using a sword but Riri's magic is astounding. She can create a myriad of weapons in her body. She can also harden her body like an armor. Physical attack is also not very effective to her. She can morph into anything. I can't believe that she is defeated in war even she is this strong.
The match ended and Riri won. My mother now feels glad that Riri is the one accompanying me.
We left right after their fight. We arrived at the mountain during lunch because of Riri's transformation into a vehicle. I knew kinda rode her literally not sexually. Hehe.
We first ate our lunch. And then I prepared the things I need to do. I brought the four crystals and I wrote the magic circle that I will use. I just need to chant the spell and meditate inside the circle for hours to succeed.
I started the meditation while Riri keeps out the magic beasts that might attack me.
I immediately felt the power of the core flowing through my body. I felt pain the longer I meditate. And the book says that I must not stop until all the cores are empty and I must try my best to control the power within me. It may destroy my body if I make a mistake, so I persevered for 10 hours. I got stand up for a while but then fainted. And I finally woke up in the morning.
..."Oh. Hi Riri. I must've fainted. How long did I collapsed? Sorry for worrying you. I am hungry, lets eat first."
"Master. You were asleep for 3 days. Your body was reduced near to malnourishment figure. Your eyes turned blue for a moment."
..."3 days?! No wonder I am so hungry."
I woke up with a hunger for food and my body is like a skeleton. It must be a side effect of the process. But I feel the power rushing through my body. It must be a success. I need to test all of the types of magic that I have.
I only know a lot of Earth magic but the other 3 is only one. The basic magic spell is "come forth" which releases the type of magic that I cast. The result is a success. I can summon water, fire, wind and earth. I also tried releasing then by twos, threes and all of them. It is also a success. I now posses four magic attributes.
The explanation of this is also written in the book. The person heart is like a magic core, this is where magic came from. Everytime we do magic, our hearts figuratively opens up and releases the energy that you posses and you can now use that energy as magic.
The spell opens up my heart and stocks the four magic element. And because of this, my heart will get used to the magic power and self develops that magic as my own magic. So now, I must not use the magic for a while. And I need to be physically strong again because the spell wears out my body. My muscular body became like a stick. I need to replenish my body with nutrients and meat.
Riri and I still has 3 days before going home. She hunts our food until my body is ready to work again. The way she fights is somewhat disturbing. She can easily melts a monster inside her body. But she only does it to magic beast because they are not edible. She cooks every meat that she hunts. It was delicious. It took me two days to barely work and hunt again. I still need to eat MOAR!
After a while, my physique is getting better. I can now do what I can when I am in better shape. But now I get tired easily. It must be my heart that prevents me from working hard. It must not have been used to the magic that it contains. So I need to go home and rest until my heart is ready. I can still feel pain in my chest after doing something.
Riri and I went home. I immediately went to my bed and sleeps. I will go to the palace and talk with queen Eliza about this when I get better. She could give me some pointers on how to handle it.
