Chapter 7
I arrived at the mountain.
Acccording to the book, this must be the place. But, where is it? I can only see plants and animals here. Did I read it wrong? No. This is definitely the place. But I can't see any water. And the book is very old so I think the plants outgrew the spring water and covered it very much. It must be meters or even miles under my feet.
I circled the place to find any source of water. But I only saw a river. But then I decided to start digging. It was easy for me to dig when the plants and grass are not present in the area. I can use my earth magic.
It took me several hours to dig a very deep hole. It went dark. I stopped digging when I reached a wet part of the soil. Meaning that this must be the spring water. But due to the darkness, I decided to build my camp. I build a space made with earth magic to secure me from wild animals. I am now exhausted and tried to get some sleep.
In the morning. Water filled the hole that I made. I collected a bottle of it and drank it. I felt an amazing feeling in my body.I also feel refreshed and composed. It is definitely the spring water that I am looking for.
I stayed and trained in that place in a week. I always drink the water everyday. I definitely got stronger in those days but not enough to fight a rank B monsters like the Minautor Lion. I am also weak to magic monsters. I can't defend against a magic attack that well. I got pretty buffed muscles and I think it is not applicable for me to train more. So I decided to go home to complete the next step, which is "Gaining magic power attribute".
First I need to find a Magic Crystals. All four element type. Pure magic crystals are expensive. But I need those pure ones. I can buy it but my money will be significantly less. I need to come up with a business first.
So I went home and faced our dilemma in money. Our money in the bank won't increase if I don't think of something. It will eventually ran out if we just sit around in the house.
The book has some formulas about healing potions, medicines and buff magic. But I need a strong amount of magic power and a advanced knowledge in alchemy for me to be able to create them.
Hiring an alchemist is not really good for me. They could steal the formula and they will make it their own. I need someone that I can trust. But I don't know any alchemist.
The closest one I know is our mage in our party member. Her name was Mia Chan. Let me think if I could get some help. So I sent her a letter saying I would visit her. She agreed to it.
Mia is a serious type of girl. I haven't seen a facial expressions from her until our discovery. She was definitely a charming girl when she smiled. She has a short hair and she is tall. You could mistake her as a tomboyish type of girl. I remember her taking a lot of books in the dungeon. Did she finished reading all of it? Her job in our party is a support mage. She also our healer. She would definitely know about
making potions. So I went to her house.
..."Hello Mia. Can I come in?"
"Come in."
Her house is is like our mansion but it much bigger. But it feels empty. Her mother is a guild master of a certain guild. Her father died in the dungeon when he was an adventurer. Her family is a generation after generation of adventurers. Their affinity for magic is very strong. But we all know that dungeons are very dangerous. That is why some of their families end up alone.
"You said in the letter that you need help about something. What is it?"
..."I'll go straight to the point. I need your expertise in magic. I want to create potions to sell, but as you can see, I can't do it alone"
"Creating potions are easy for me as long as I have the ingredients. But why would you choose a business like that if you can't even do it yourself? Alchemist can create their own potions without relying on someone."
..."I believe that they don't only use ingredients. They use spells, magic circle etc. And I can teach them what to use. I can create a better potions than the one that we use. It is more effective and lasts longer."
"How would you know? Can you really do that? Where did you get that information?"
..."Do you remember our loot in the dungeon? I found a book about potions and how to create them."
"What? Did you mean the books that you collected? Those two books?"
..."Yes. The one is a diary and the other is about potions. (I musnt tell her everything)."
"That is awesome. The books that I found are stories and events that happened in the past. I totally liked it. Mysteries of the past has now been solved because of the books."
..."So? Can I hire you?"
"Hmm. You can hire me as your partner in business. And you must agree on my terms. We will split the profit to 60/40. You will have the bigger profit because of the knowledge of the book that you own. I want 40 because you can't do alchemy without me. I think it is fair considering everything."
..."You are right. I accept your demands. When can we start making it?"
"Give me one week to prepare everything. Give me the ingredients and equipment that we will use. I have to talk to the merchant guild to get supplies. We also need a place to concoct the potions. You handle the business permit from the kingdom. Make sure that everything is legal."
.."Sure. I can handle it. I will update everything that will happen."
"By the way, why do you need money? You must be rich already considering."
..."Oh that. Hmm. My family is getting bigger. I want to save money for the future."
We are done talking about our business plan and we agreed to start the production next week.
