A little kid asked the old man while carrying a pile of wood unto his shoulders. The kid's figure was skinny while his complexion was pale, his hair color was blonde accompanied by his two bluish eyes that kept gazing sharply at the old man,
The brown shirt that he wear's was all tattered and torn, and it stinks like he didn't took a bath for the whole month, nonetheless his figure was brightly cheerful, like he doesn't care at anything at all as long as the old man in front of him could tell him some untold 'legends' from the past.

"Put down that wood first."
The little kid put down his gathered wood into the floor, and he started to sat down with his tiny ears ready to listen.

The kid stared at his grandpa's eyes.
"Fine... I talk I talk. Remember to put this into your tiny ears very well. Cause I ain't gonna repeat it twice.
"Yupp!!" The kid replied with a widened smile unto his face.
"Ten years has passed among the conflicts of the legendary magician. The famous wind magician called Dread was one of the leaders of the four legendary magicians. He was cool, good looking, handsome and also brave! He killed the greedy king called Kyle Augustinus just to save the dying queen."
"Did he really save the queen from her dying state?"
"Of course!!! Why wouldn't he? He is a true hero among all the heroes! He even flew the queen back to her own castle while leaving no single wound intact."
"Really? I think you're milking it."
"What?? Why would this handsome old man lie?"

"I am not!!!" Dread raised his voice.
"Prove it!"

"Pendant!! I got the pendant that the old greedy king wanted to acquire."
"What? the legendary [Demon pendant] in the books?"
The little kid was excited after he heard those words.
"But I heard that the pendant was nowhere to be found? And some people always say that it's just a single fairy tale."
Old Dread immediately showed the pendant to Light. It was covered by a dirty cloth under his pocket.
"What!? That's the pendant? It's more likely an expired old violet candy with a thread attached to it."
The old man Dread was angered after hearing those words, so he hit the little kid's head.

"Oww."
"Listen well Light. This pendant was owned by a king called Sin Mightyhold. Have you heard of him before I think he is very famous in books?"
"Yeah! Why wouldn't I? He saved the current queen of the Vain kingdom by sacrificing himself using the pendant that absorbs his mana. But I read in the books that the pendant he used was nowhere to be seen."
"It's because I have it."
"So you're telling me that the old violet candy in your hands is the pendant? I think it's trash."
"Listen well light. Just because something is ugly then it is called trash. You can't see its worth by looking with your little eyes. It's like looking at a bottomless sea where you can't reach, You can't just judge a book with its ugly cover."
The nature magician dread pated the head of light and gave him the pendant.
"From now on this is yours, and no matter what happens do not show this to anyone except the Queen of Vain."
"You're just giving me trash so that I could trust you again."
"I told you! it's not trash!"
Dread hit light's head again.
"Ow damn old man."
"Say that again?!"
"Oh, I mean handsome old man."
Dread hit light's head again.
"I ain't an old man you damn kid I'm just at my early 50's"
"50's counts as old, you know."
Dread knocked light's head again.
"Stop hitting me old man or I..."
"Or what?!!"
"Or I will call you handsome again."
"That's more I like it. You should call me that starting today. Go home now and return here tomorrow to fetch me some woods, and I greatly reward you again."
"I don't have a home."
"Well it isn't my problem! Now I want to have a goodnight sleep. You are too noisy!"
"But it's only 1 in the afternoon..."

"Damn kid!! Do you know what afternoon nap is??!!!"
"You said Goodnight Sleep."
"You heard wrong, kid!! Go away shoo shoo you are too smelly and noisy!"

Light instantly grabs the money out of Dread hands, and immediately walked away.
"Damn that ugly old man."
"He won't accept that he is old when he isn't the one saying it."

Dread really wanted to adopt light as his son and give him food and shelter. But he can't just bring him harm. Dread was now a wanted criminal that allied with Sin Mightyhold to kill the current king of Vain 10 years ago.
The father of Kyle Augustinus which is the current king of the Thorn kingdom. Gathered all his strongest magicians just to find Dread. Who is hiding inside the town of the Vain kingdom.

The magicians were looking for him and Sin Mightyhold nonstop for the whole fifteen years. Until they finally have a lead to his whereabouts.
They have reached and entered the kingdom of Vain again and started to search to the wanted criminals.
