Chapter 10: Promise (Part 1/2)
2km away from Shi-Yama Castle-
More than 200 adventurers have made a temporary base over there, as tomorrow morning; they will all attack at the castle.
Right now, Gildart is standing away from the group and looking towards the Shi-Yama, castle's direction.
"What are you thinking so deep?" A voice came to the ear of Gildart.
He turned towards the source of the voice, it was Anzai Hana
Gildart didn't say anything a just looked towards the Shi-Yama castles direction. The reason for Anzai to be here is because she is the leader of this raid. And the reason for a queen's knight to be the leader of this raid is because; the queen is still hoping a favor from him.
Thus she sends her best and most loyal person to the field.
"Remember the battle?" Anzai tried to change the topic and asked a question
"yes" Gildart replied her back
"You were right at that time, I can't control my own strength but it is not like I am weak. I am strong but it's just that there were people around so I couldn't show my true strength"
"So?"
"Huh?"
"What is the reason for you to talk with me?"
"Because I was asked to bring you by the side of Princess Chiyo, by my Queen"
For a few seconds, Gildart remained calm and then said: "Alright, I will help-"
"Really?" The moment Anzai heard it, she asked in excitement. Not letting Gildart complete his sentence.
"Let me finish, first"
"Oh, Sorry. Please continue"
"I will help babysit princess, but on one condition"
"I am all ears"
"If you can beat anyone person, you face during the raid"
Gildart continued "Are you up for it?"
Anzai paused and then asked, "You have visited that place before?"
"Who knows?"
Anzai, knew that Gildart was hiding something but she has to complete the mission given to be her queen. Thus she accepted the condition.
With this talk, a deal was made and before Gildart left the place, Anzai asked "I have to beat only one person right?"
Gildart turned and said "Yes, but can you" and then left the place.
Next Day-
It was morning right now but no one knows why the sky was so dark. They knew that near 7white Death Mountains, it's always cloudy but still some sunlight is there but today, the time is morning but still it feels like night.
At Shi-Yama castle:
"Shanon sama, those humans are racing near our border. What are your orders?" Wraith asked Shanon who was looking at the direction of raid party while standing near the window,
"The moment they reach near 500meter of our border, kill all of them except one person"
"One person?"
"Yes, one person. Her name is Anzai Hana, the girl our lord talked about recently"
"ahh, her. So our lord wants to let her raid the castle?"
Shanon looked at Wraith and with a smile, she said "No, our lord is bored and wants to have some entertainment. Thus you will fight with her and entertain our lord"
"But won't she die?" Wraith was confused so he asked this question
"Don't worry; she has a very special spirit. Just remove this cloudy weather and enjoy the fun"
Wraith didn't ask anything further and just nodded and left the place
On the other side, Humans have reached near the borders-
"We are near the border of this castle, everyone prepare"
But before she could hear the response of all the people behind her, she hears something else.
*Whoosh*
*BOOOOOOOM*
"WHAT?" Anzai was shocked. She didn't know what happened or how it happened but in just a blink, more than 50 people were dead
Soon an arrow appeared in the sky, and behind it, more than 1000 arrows appeared.
Each arrow was glowing; it was as if it is made up of mana only.
*Gulp*
"INCOMING" Anzai yelled as she tried to get away but it was too late
*whoosh*

The moment arrow touched anything, it exploded and no matter what, every single thing was destroyed into pieces, including all peoples.
*Boom*

The scene continued for a few seconds, but when it was stopped only 2 people were left alive, and around them, the forest was no longer there.
Blood and big pits were the only things left behind by those arrows
The 2 people who are alive is Gildart and Anzai Hana
Anzai Hana, was right now still lying on the ground, as she was still going through aftershock and also struggling to stand up.
Gildart walked towards her and with a smile said, "I hope you can full-fill your words"
*whoosh*
A large gust of windfalls on both Anzai Hana and Gildart.
Soon a large dragon appeared in the sky and slowly-slowly landed on the ground
*ROAR*
The dragon roared, but the roar was not directed towards them, but towards the sky.
And with just one roar, the whole sky, which was covered with dark clouds instantly, disappeared. Now it was a clear bright sky with sun glowing proudly.
"Your enemy is here. I shall leave you alone now" With that said, Gildart disappeared from the place.
Anzai wanted to stop him but it was late. Now it was only her and the dragon on the field.
At Anzai Hana's side-
Hana calmed her breath and started activating her spirit abilities.
Soon cracks appeared on her body and then her hairs also turned blue. She knew it, the moment she saw the dragon, if she doesn't go all out from the beginning, she will die for sure.
Suddenly she started remembering her whole life, she remembers how she lost her family and then her home and herself. And while wandering around waiting for death, she met someone.
That someone showed her a new light, gave her hope and in return, she never asked anything from her but until one day.
That, someone, was none other than, her queen, Aoi-sama. And before leaving, she asked if she could bring Gildart to her side.
She promised her, she will complete her first request.
"So this is how it feels to stand in front of death?" She said in a low voice.

Anzai Hana stood up and then took a deep breath and then
*booom*
Hana disappeared and then appeared in front of the dragon and launched her fist on the dragon's leg but nothing happened.
*whoosh*
*booom*
She twisted her body and then landed an attack with her feet but still, nothing happened
*whoosh*
The dragon just lightly swayed his leg, where she attacked, and this small move sent Hana way flying back to the forest
*whoooo*
After a second, suddenly the air around the forest started becoming hotter and hotter.
Soon a big fireball appeared in the sky, but this time it was so big and, that it felt like someone is standing in front of a sun
"Divine Flames: grand fireball"
Hana roared at the dragon and then released the fireball above the dragon.
Right now they are still far away from the castle, so the attack didn't reach near them. As for the size of fireball, well it was around 700meter big.
*Booooooooooooooom*
The whole ground shacked as the fireball landed.
Trees, air, ground, rocks, literally everything was burned or evaporated like smoke. Everything thing was destroyed, leaving only a large crater and in that crater, only lava was there.
*Huff*

Hana was breathing heavily as she had used a large amount of mana.
*Thud*
She falls on her knees and breathed heavily.
The level of the attack she did was around level 25. Which is impossible for a human to achieve but the scene in front is truth.
On the other side, Gildart, with a smile on his face said "So people of this world are not that weak huh?"
Suddenly, a figure started appearing from the lava.

The lava falls down from the body of that figure and took the shape of the dragon which Hana thought is dead.
"Is that all you got?"
The dragon asked Hana, in which Hana only glared.
*Boom*

*boom*
Again, Hana started striking the dragon but still the results were the same.
*whoosh*
Suddenly the dragon's body glowed and the big dragon changed into a human form.
Right now he wore chest armor and loose pants. His feet were still of a dragon.
Hana wasn't shocked to see the scene as she had seen many dragons transform, so she continued with her attack but this time the dragon didn't defend.
"This can't be even considered as a battle"
After saying this, he grabbed the head of Hana and smashed it on the ground.
*bang*
The head literally bounced back in the air, as the force was just too much and the head was half-cracked.
Blood and bones, even mucus of the brain could be seen easily but the battle didn't end here.
The dragon again, holds Hana and threw a little bit up in the air and then smacked at the stomach with his fists.
*spurt*
The blood came out, not just from the mouth but form the half-cracked head also.
This attack made Hana fly into the sky for a few seconds and then
*Boom*
She falls on the ground.

Blood spurted out everywhere from the body of Hana, no doubt she has very fast healing but the damage was just too much. So it will take a good amount of time.
"I thought, I would be able to entertain my lord, but you, you are so weak that it makes me want to puke. Though your grand fireball attack was good, that's it"
After saying this dragon turned around and started walking away.
On the other hand, Hana was still breathing.
She is still alive and the only reason for her being alive is because of her promise with her queen. That one promise has kept her alive, and if it was not for that, anyone who gets there heads half-cracked is done for good.
But she is still breathing.
In her mind, she kept on remembering her promise and kept on saying "I am sorry"
The healing process has already started, as it is still a bright sky with a sun above, still, she was done. She no longer had the strength to continue.
Suddenly, a weird voice came inside the head of Hana
"What a weak person, you are. Allow me to show you what true strength is"
*Boooom*
*Wind blowing wildly*
"hmmm, interesting" As the dragon was leaving he suddenly felt a strong wave of energy. He looked behind and saw yellow lights coming from the girl's body and in a blink, she healed up.
*opens eyes*
*wild winds*
The cracks on the body of Hana were no longer there, and her whole body surrounded in flames, which appeared and disappeared.
Her hair was now in green color.
And in a rough voice, she said "Ready for round 2?"
*boooom*
