Chapter 37: Chapter 35
"So... what now?"
With the threat now neutralized, I ponder what will do next. Looking directly at Null, I await for his instructions.
"Well... considering that I already called for reinforcements, I guess we should bind this guy and the Conductor for now. We can't risk any chance of them escaping"
"Right..."
Dragging the culprit of the first cart, we then made our way back to the Worker Cabin to bind both culprits. With what just recently happened, a majority of the passengers began leaving the cart and head directly to the other's in a panicked manner. Considering that they were just recently threatened earlier, their reactions is very understandable.
But with that said, due to how chaotic the place has become. Dragging the culprit unto the other Cabin has been pretty hard. Even trying to move was pretty difficult with the amount of people trying to leave and make their ways to the other carts.
"Ey! Slow down, will you people. Don't you fucks have manners"
With how slow our progress with moving the culprit has become, Null can't help but get pissed. Shouting his anger at the panicked crowed, it seems that his words didn't even registered to any of them.
"U-umm... is this even alright? Letting the passengers leave and all?"
-Sigh
"Just let them be, we already found our culprits anyway"
"But..."
"I know that you have some concerns but we should deal with this for now, knowing that they're essentially murderers and all. Plus, with Evee and Pebble guarding miss Katherine, you shouldn't worry too much"
After a few minutes of dealing with the chaotic mess, we eventually manage to move the culprit to the Worker Cabin. Arriving at the place once again, I manage to find the Train Conductor sleeping in the floor. It seems that what Null has said to was indeed the truth
"That's both culprits down, so what to do we next?"
"Are there anything here that can bind both of them?"
"I'll go and look"
Searching the place, for anything that can help bind both culprits. What I manage to find where a bunch of useless things. Not even a single rope was present in the area, which was somewhat disappointing. But knowing that we're essentially riding a train, I guess it's only natural to not find any ropes lying around.
With nothing in hand, I went back to Null to inform him of my findings.
"I didn't find any ropes or anything similar lying around"
"I guess that would be a problem. Without anything to bind both of them, they might wake up and escape without our notice"
"We might be able to find something from the other carts, so shall I go and look"
"Sure, I'll keep watch of both them while you go look. While you're at it, try informing Pebble and Evee about the situation. They'll be pretty useful in trying to calm the chaotic crowd down"
"Roger that, I suppose"
Leaving Null alone with the culprits for now, I then leave the Worker Cabin to look for anything that can bind said culprits. Entering the first cart once more, I was surprised to see that everyone on board the place has left the cart. I assumed that all of them must have made their way to the other carts.
With nothing much to do I began looking for anything that can act as a binding. But not too long in my search, I again was caught surprise to see someone still present in the place. Not far from where I was, is the lady from before holding the dead man in her hands. Looking at her, she seems to be sobbing in a very quiet manner. I suppose that with she just experienced, it's very understandable for her react in such a way.
Feeling kind of pity to the women, I tried getting near her. I don't know what I was thinking at that time, considering that I'm not good with people in general. But for some reason, I felt like comforting the lady was the right thing to do.
"U-umm... hello..."
"..."
Receiving not a single response from the woman, the mood quickly became somewhat awkward.
"A-ahh... maam I think that you should move to the other cart's for now. Being all alone might be dangerous, considering what just happened"
"...Please leave me alone... I want to be with David for a bit longer"
"I see... I'm sorry for your loss"

Not being able to bare her emotions any longer, the lady burst into complete sadness. Tears flowing from her eyes, as she cries for the loss of his partner. Firmly holding the dead body of her once living partner, she keeps crying and crying. Trying to vent her repressed emotions.
-Sob-Sob
"W-why.. Is this happening to me.. Did I do something to deserve this? W-why? Why? Why?... David Hey... please wake up, you promised to not leave me remember. We even planned to make a family together... David p-please don't leave me, you're the only one I have..."
Seeing the lady cry in sadness, I wasn't able to do anything but stand beside her. Letting her vent her emotions, is something that she has the right to do and being the man that I am I don't want to disturb such moment.
Her sobbing took about a few minutes of time, but after shedding much of her tears and sorrows she eventually began to calm down.
-Sob-Sob
"S-sorry... for my rudeness earlier... I know that you were just trying to help"
"I don't mind. Considering what you've been through, I can understand why you would act like that"
"T-thank you.... for understanding..."
"We've never really introduced ourselves. My name is Bruce and who would you be miss?"
"U-umm.. My name is Christina..."
"Christina, that's a beautiful name"
"T-thank you..."
"Say miss Christina... I know that's hard for you right now, but I would really like you to leave this place for now and join the others"
"I understand, but what about David?"
"I know that it's hard for you, seeing your partner like this, but I assure you that nothing will happen to his body. Until the reinforcements arrive your partner cannot be put into a proper place. So please, go and put yourself in a safe place for now. I'm pretty sure that it's something that your partner would have want"
-Sob...

"Everyone faces many hardships in life, one of those hardships can be losing your love ones... I know that it's hard, I also know that it feels unfair. You just want to shout at life for the losses you've receive, but despite our cries for sadness we can't really change everything that happened. We'll just have to live our life knowing the losses we had. But I don't think that we should be living our lives in complete sorrow just because of said losses. There's more to life than just sadness. I know that I don't personally know you, but I'm pretty sure that understand what I'm talking about. You probably have many happy memories with your partner, and it's sad knowing that his gone. But that's life in a nutshell, one day will be happy the next will be sad. Life is a rollercoaster of emotions, and just like what that Dr. Seuss book said, we shouldn't be sad because it's over, be happy that it happened. Don't let your partner's death fill you with sorrow miss Christina, live and cherish your memories of each other"

"I-I understand... I-I'll go and join the others..."
"Thank you for complying miss Christina"
After our conversation, Christina then quietly leave the cart and join the others. Making sure that nothing bad happens to her partner's body, I made sure that it's place properly from where it was, even getting rid of anything that can disturb it. Praying my respects to the dead, I then leave the body alone and continued my search.

Searching every nook and cranny of the first cart, I wasn't able to find anything that can act as a binding. Not wanting to give up in my search I again continued my effort of looking for said bindings.
After for what seems to be a long time, my search was again rewarded with nothing, which greatly disappointed me.
"I'm not going to find anything am I..."
Having nothing useful in my hands, I planned on moving to the next cart to hasten up my search. But just as I start to move to the next cart, the train door suddenly opened, which caught me off guard
"Oh... so no one's here, what a surprise"
Huh...?
Just outside from the door, is a man whom I've never seen before. But despite said anonymity, I for some reason felt extremely warry of the unknown man. It's as if my whole body is telling that said man is dangerous.
Confuse by his sudden appearance and by the fact that he showed out from outside, I quickly drew my gun and pointed it at him.
"Oh my? A gun. What an unexpected development. Normally those two would be firing the signal right about now, but from what I'm seeing I think I'm starting to understand what happened"
"Don't move!"
"Let me guess, you're the one who stopped those fools"
"I said don't move!"
"Well... I guess I'll personally get rid of you then"
Without warning, the unknown man suddenly threw something directly at me. Not wanting to find what those things are the hard way; I quickly dodged the incoming attack by rolling away. Looking back at where the things we're thrown, I found out that the things he just used were throwing knives.
Knowing how I'm currently in danger. I then look back at the man, whom currently is trying to throw another set of knives. Seeing the incoming attack, I again tried dodging for the second time which successfully save my skin. Not wanting to give the man another chance to attack, I then fired my gun at his direction.
-Bang!
With the bullet sound echoing through the place, I was surprised to see that my attack has hit nothing. Looking at the direction of where the man should be, I was greeted with a peculiar scene of no one being present. Totally confuse of what just happened, I then tried scanning the area for the man's presence.
"Hello..."
Hearing a sudden voice from behind, I then quickly backed off from where I was while looking from behind. To my surprised the unknown was indeed hiding from my back, which just confuses me even more greatly.
How the hell, did he get from behind me...
Amidst in my confusion, the man suddenly drew a knife in his pocket which he quickly used to attack me in front.
Shit!
Having no time to dodge the incoming attack, I directly received the full brunt of said attack.
-Slash
Having my body slashed from the attack, blood gushes all over my body as I tumble down from where I stand. Not even a second from the slash, the man then followed suit with another attack in front. Not wanting to get hurt for the second time, I quickly fight back by firing my gun at the man.
-Bang-Bang-Bang
To my surprise, the man just casually dodged my attack like it was nothing.
"Hmm... So, that's all you got?"
Seeing how I'm failing hard at trying to fight back, the man swiftly threw another knife at my direction which accurately hit's my hand. Not being able to bear the pain, I painfully dropped the pistol in my hand. Which has given the man the opportunity to strike once more.
Seeing the incoming man, I then threw my jacket using my only functioning hand to block the man's view. Slowed down by what I did, I then quickly drew the taser from my pocket. After which I tired engaging in close quarters.
With the man slashing my jacket using his knife, I was able to have enough time to get very close in his vicinity. Turning on the taser, I then tried to tased him up-close, which I hoped will put a stop to him.
Seeing my attempt, the man then quickly kicked me upfront which I wasn't able to dodge due to how close I was. Feeling the full force of his kick, the man was able to put a stop of my attack. Which was the worst-case scenario for me.
Momentarily stunned by the kick, the man then tried attacking me once more using his knife. Seeing the upcoming blade, I then tried closing my eyes to brace for the impact. With my body injured and being in the worst spot possible, there weren't any time for me to try dodge the attack.
But just as the knife gets familiarly close in my body. A sudden gunshot echoed the place which has stopped the man from attacking.
-Bang
Seeing the gunshot, the unknown man quickly backs off from my vicinity which made him dodge the incoming bullet. Confuse at where that shot came from, I quickly tried looking back from behind which surprises me greatly. Looking back, I saw Null himself standing from the Worker Cabin door holding a gun in his hand and pointing it at the unknown man.
"tsk-tsk... So, there's two of you. I suppose this makes things more complicated"
Without warning Null then fired again at the man, which the man was able to dodge by docking at the train seats. With Null's attack essentially missing, the man then threw a bunch of knives to Null's direction, which Null was quick to react. Evading all the knives, Null then quickly dashed his way to the man, which man countered by throwing another set of knives. To my surprise Null somehow evades all the flying knives just by standing still, which also shocks the unknown man. Not wasting anytime, Null quickly arrives at the man's vicinity. Whom he quickly tried barraging with gun fire.
Quick on his reflexes the man, somehow evades all of Null's gunfire which was very shocking to see. Seeing an opportunity, the man then tried to attack Null with his knife which Null was able to stop by using his gun to block.
With both of them at hold, they suddenly distance themselves from each other. With how close they were at each other, both of them have the perfect opportunity to strike any attack. So, seeing the action they made, I can't help but be confused.

Author Note: I really wanted to finish this fight with only one chapter, but due to my retarded decision of updating the story to daily instead of every 2 days. I pretty much exhausted all of my energy, so sorry if you felt unsatisfied. (I just want to play Lobotomy Corp. And with this story in motion, making any progress in that game will be impossible) /(~_ ~/)"
